It's much easier just to put a couple big cups of ice in there with your toilet bowl Bleach cleaner and shake it until clean and you only have to rinse once . No scrubbing required !
Sir I have a 1995 Corvette C4 LT1 and the rad. fans come on only with the hvac turned on. So they work on low and high mode. I replaced this sensor with a brand new one and it reads on the digital dash board, and there is an analog gauge on the dash as well from the engine sensor on the side of the block, the water pump sensor shows about 10 15 lower temps but thats is normal for this set up I read. No one seems to have posted the answer I need to get it to turn on the fans and not over heat. THANKS for any help! (I did do a throttle body coolant delete, which is the only change from original)
Unfortunately the cooling system seal tabs recommended in a service manual for the 1996, the pellets are the same color as rust! Unfortunately I can't provide a photo of the pellets. There were five of them, their rust-colored and a ACDelco product. There are two part numbers on the package, 10-108 & 12378255
Hey man what year and mileage you got? I got 1990 with 60k miles and been watching videos like these to see what im working with. First time diving into a car
I'm sure this is a stupid question but : Do I need to drain the coolant completely out of the car before removing this tank? I want to remove this to make it easier to get at the three 7mm bolts holding the upper rad shroud in place and clean the road debris out. Since I have no choice but to do this on the street, I'd rather avoid taking on the job myself if I need to drain the car.
Mine is a 96 and says it recommends dexcool on the reservoir so maybe check around it to see if yours says anything like that if not there are a bunch of forums online!

Had my coolant all leak out under the radiator. Need to get it lifted and figure out if radiator or hose. I also need to clean that tank out too!

do u have a video on how to do a coolant flush on these? I couldnt find a decent video
So you can use regular coolant like in the other reservoir? Or does it require a special kind?

You dont have to drain the coolant completely in order to clean only the reservoir tank.
@@izhararbiv9 Right on, thanks.

What about the upper tank??? Your whole system looks like that.
