- Raven Rock State Park: A guide to some of the trails at Raven Rock State Park. Raven Rock State Park is in Lillington, North Carolina. It has some wonderful trails views of Cape Fear River.
Visit is on the second weekend (May 16th, 2020) after NC reopened the state parks.
Since we can't travel to continue our journey to all American national parks, we decided to go to state parks within a day trip distance of our home near Raleigh, North Carolina.
Raven Rock state park was open but all the facilities are closed except one bathroom. This is a 4800 acre park with trails ranging from half mile to over 6 miles. It has a couple of bridal trails and a mountain bike trail. The signature view is a 150 feet by 1 mile rock out cropping on the southern shore of the Cape Fear River.

Thank You! Love the Eagles... while enroute to Wickenburg, AZ last year I visited Winslow, AZ ( “Take It Easy”... the small dusty town has tributes to Glen Fry and the band).
I didn’t quite what you called tourist that take photos but don’t hike!
