Love Cheerwine and there is only ONE pickle Mt. Olive. Grew up about 20 miles from Mt. Olive and picked many a pickle that went to the company as a teen over a half century ago. And Ashe County cheese is amazingly good.
As an upstate SC native I've grown up on local products. I know I've left the South when I can no longer find Cheerwine and Goo-Goo Cluster's candy in the stores. I'll be looking for Ashe County cheese, and if you like Bleu Cheese try the one made in Clemson SC; until 58 it was made in Stumphouse tunnel dating back to the war between the states. I'm not a fan if ginger cookies but I'll be trying some of Mrs. Hanes this Christmas. We're in a very special part of the world, so support your local businesses and history so we keep being special forever.
Even though I relocated from my home state of NC to Missouri 30 years ago, I still cherish the memories associated with Cheerwine, Moravian cookies as well as Neese's sausage, liver pudding, and probably most of all, NC seafood. Each and every time I travel home to NC, I have a dedicated cooler to transport Neese"s, Flounder, fresh NC shrimp and some Eastern NC BBQ back to Missouri. I was born in Winston Salem, so, the cookies were an absolute staple in my parent's home. Let's not forget, Krispy Kreme Donuts and the best cigarette tobacco grown on the planet also come from NC. Regardless of your position on tobacco use, tobacco paved the streets, built the schools and churches of NC and sustained our great state for a long period of history.
I grew up with some of these brands!

He said he was not there yesterday; however, many people saw him there.
Cheerwine soda is unique!
Give thanks for a little and you will find a lot.
Good stuff
If you would take, you must first give, this is the beginning of intelligence.

If you break your neck, if you have nothing to eat, if your house is on fire, then you got a problem. Everything else is inconvenience.
A man should look for what is, and not for what he thinks should be.
I used to live in my neighbor's fishpond, but the aesthetic wasn't to my taste.

I love the taste. It's the ingredients for me. Haven't had any soda in years.
