In the 80's, life was not boring. Playing outside was fun. Climbing trees, hiking, running around the block, hide and seek, making paper planes, bubbles, red light green light 1 2 3, exercising... These are just some of the activities children at that time experienced which resulted in creativity and learning through socialisation which taught life lessons and how to interact and appreciate others. Technology added and improved upon this in some regard but there were also some drawbacks as with most things in life. This series is a great idea and this video is great. Keep it up!
Same with me in the early 2000s (I was born in 94) all that stuff you mentioned brought back tons of memories, the good old days before we had everything on our phones 😢
The Game Boy Advance had Pokemon Emerald. The original Game Boy had Pokemon Red and Blue (at least here in the West), and then later Pokemon Yellow too.
Gameboy printer prints more accurate, the paper you bought is just bad. 8-bit guy made a video about this and the paper that came with not worked well but a normal calculator paper worked well.

Tamaguchi man. Would still love one.
Ahhh the Gameboy advance with Pokemon emerald was my childhood.😭😭
Oh yess
Ive broke mine and still missing it!
The Game Boy Advance had Pokemon Emerald. The original Game Boy had Pokemon Red and Blue (at least here in the West), and then later Pokemon Yellow too.
The GBA has Pokemon FireRed, Pokemon LeafGreen, Pokemon Ruby, Pokemon Sapphire, and Pokemon Emerald. 5V3
I wasn't old and wealthy enough to experience actual GBA but I definitely finished pokemon gold, firered, and emerald on VBA in 6th grade
I build a GBA with a backlight and I put it in a transparent green case to match pokemon emerald, because that's my favourite GBA game.
The second you cut the seal on that box, millions of retro gaming collectors lost their minds! LOL
honestly it hurt to watch

Gameboy printer prints more accurate, the paper you bought is just bad. 8-bit guy made a video about this and the paper that came with not worked well but a normal calculator paper worked well.
This getting a nope upset me lol, the printer was definitely awesome. he had bad thermal paper like u said.
wouldnt the ink be bad too.its the original after all
@@spaceman022 they dont use ink actually. Thermal paper and heat only.
@@Willpowerpcs Ahh,never heard of thermal paper,pretty cool

We all remember what happened last time you rewinded time with UA-cam, stay safe Markass

Nanaresh damn your kinda old
@@a_prsn damn you're kinda pathetic for trolling
That chiptune part was dope as hell. I remember playing these old things, but I really got my start with the Game Boy Advanced SP. This felt retro to me at the time too.
This was legitimately fun to watch, it was the perfect blend of nostalgia, history and a very good narration. I'm eager to see more of this series. Great job man!
Great quality content! Maybe you could do the Sony walkman cassette player next
Right
I would guess is the next obvious one
I had never heard of Chiptune before... that was jawdropping! I always thought that 8bit sound was sampled!!
That was so coool!!!
You should check out the band Anamanaguchi
If it were sampled the harmonics and decay would not be exact.
Honestly these things could make a comeback if they sold them on store shelves, kinda like record players are currently. I know if I saw one at Target, I would buy it immediately.
I don't see such fresh and pure editing on the whole UA-cam.
Hatts off man
I mean it's a UA-cam originals video so idk if he actually does the editing for these specific ones
@@MrE_ Yeah
Maybe you are correct.. but the other videos too are way better than those boring edits somewhere else..
My mom bought me a gameboy back then and it was the best christmas present I have, I feel like a rockstar playing it together with my classmates and it was awesome!.
Ok
make sure to show your appreciation and get her a nice gift

Who needs iPhone quality videos, who needs Samsung quality photos, when you have the gameboy camera
More like google pixel quality photos
Yeah

In 1990 my brother was in the US Army and sent to Saudi Arabia in the 1990 run up to Desert Storm. Months and months stuck in the desert waiting for a war to start. I sent him a GameBoy, tons of batteries and a bunch of games. He loved it. Both he and the GameBoy got home safe.
The pixels turned white after about 20 seconds, but when the heat was removed the pixels completly recovered and went back to normal
Why did I read this with a smooth sothing voice ?
If I was an executive at ABC I would give Marques a $10,000,000.39 budget, right now.
Vox is working with him on this.
Victor Tavares He probably already has that in his bank account :P
355k views in 24 hours and you give him a 10 million budget? That's a sure way to run ABC out of business I guess if that is your end goal.
@@minartson You realise ABC is owned by Disney, yes?
