Great informative video. I'm just finishing a Masters in Instructional Design and this video was extremely helpful.
Hi Reba, was the program worth it? How’s the career been for you? I am looking to make a change in my career rn and wondering if pursuing a masters is the right path. Thanks much
@@daddishesnetwork8920 No and Yes. For going into corporate ID work, I say No. BUT I have a solid grasp on adult learning and task and learner analysis.
Yes, because I do have this knowledge, it gave me a jumping point when I ended up joining an ID FB group and won a scholarship through an ID mentoring course -Jill Davidian, the best ID coach ever. The master's program lacked helping us set up a portfolio or intro to Storyline (software totally unknown to me). Its master's prog was more for those going to work in higher ed. LOVED the school and courses, but still saying Yes and NO...Lol!
@@daddishesnetwork8920 I say Yes and No!. No, because it did not prepare me for ID work in the corporate world. I did not have any items for a portfolio and never had an intro to Storyline 360 ( a software I never heard of). Yes, because I have a solid foundation in adult learning theories and task and learner analysis. However, I joined an ID FB Group and won a mentoring ID scholarship to the group with an awesome mentor Jill Davidian who is taking us under her 17yrs in the business and teaching and grooming us to become competent independent Instructional Designers. Many in the group, as myself, post links to your videos and blog postings. Thank you so much. You have added to my learning.

I need to know what competencies and skills of instructional design we have to follow as teachers. Two things skills and competencies I would emphasize if I would apply instructional design with my content I teach. so which direction Can I use ? the first one , a international standards as following (IBSTPI -ACET ATD) that show the skills and comptenses . Second , there are some researchers tend to get the skills from ADDLE Model , and the competences from their experiences . So my question is which direction I have to use ?.
Use , teach and apply both models. There is no one size fits all. Each project requires a different methodology based on budget, time constraints and client request. ADDIE is a simple, old and time tested formula. Best is to follow it loosely.
Nice
please how about moodle software, is it advisable to use it as an elearning software ?
Oh gosh its alot..
Thank you.
Great information. Thank you. But, wouldn't it more effective if you utilized some instructional design in this presentation, rather than just a video of yourself? :P
Good point! It was intended to be short and informative, so doing that would go beyond the scope. But you gave me the good idea to do that for the next one!
Gracias.
I am into development because I have the graphic designers, and other people who work on my instructions. I am best at conceptualising/writing/researching. I am aware of the other skills but can't work like a GD would.
Thank you for the video 👏👏
Can anyone give me interview resume on articulate storyline 3 and ispring work experience
