Equilibrium was and is a masterpiece that suffered from bad timing, but at least we still got to learn that Christian Bale is a master of his craft through his perseverance of amazing performances throughout his career!

That's true, but neutral absolute chaos is better than evil perfect order. An evil nation that has mastered control over its people is very difficult to create, but it is also equally difficult to destroy. Now that it is gone, it gives the world a chance to reach a decent government and stop new bad governments. It's also damn near impossible to beat this kind of government in any other way. Systematic change is out of question, and the fact that it only has one head is its biggest weakness. Without that, it's damn near impossible to break the government. The only other option they really had was to convert that guy into being good, but that's still absurdly hard. This was the best outcome they had.
@Jack Squat it's the other way around. Because JW pretends to be set in the real world while Gun Fu is at least some futuristic dystopian art that has had a long time to be developed. The fights in JW are possibl less realistic than these.
