I really like Oppo this year, but i still go for Samsung since it is more versatile and S Pen. Moreover, I'm looking forward to seeing Snapdragon vs Exynos S22 Ultra comparison. However, I also want to see you add processing time between the two after the shorts were taken as well. Really appreciated your work!

Great video and two great phones. I'm buying one of them but which one, still struggling to decide but think I'm edging towards the Oppo for the following reasons.
Both are big phones but the S22 Ultra is slightly bigger and has the square Note design, I think the Oppo will be more comfortable both in my hand and my pocket.
Value, I think the Oppo offers better value, not only do you get the charger in the box, in the UK they giving you a free bundle, of the wireless charger, ear buds, a case and a watch.
Charging, I love fast charging and with the 80W Oppo you can charge it from 0 to 50% in about 12 minutes.
Battery, one of the reasons I end up changing my phone is after a couple of years the battery degradation, according to Oppo their battery tech allows for up to 1600 charging cycles before it starts to diminish, so the battery should last longer.
Some of the great features of the Samsung I'm not too bothered about. The S-Pen, I have a Samsung tablet that I use every day and never use the S-Pen. The amazing zoom camera, nice, but how often do I take zoom pictures, not very often. Pictures in the dark when out for the night more often, and according to Oppo they've really concentrated on night photos and the 5 axis stabilisation and Mari Silicon X NPU really help that.
Durability, Samsung has the better Victus glass, but the ceramic back of the Oppo looks great and should be much more durable than glass.
I think I prefer ColorOS to One UI, although I like Oneplus's Oxygen OS but I don't think the Oneplus 10 pro can match these two phones.
It's tricky, really tricky, as I say, think I'm going for the Oppo, but ask me again in an hour, I might have changed my mind again.

Same I've used both OneUI and ColorOS and ColorOS feels more premium especially the new ColorOS 12, the animations are way smoother and the icons look so much better.

I'm waiting on my oppo find x5 pro to arrive. Currently got the oppo Reno 5g which I've owned for 2 and a half years. The only issue I've had with the phone is the case that it came with is starting to peel at the corners. Apart from that the phone has been brilliant. Still get over a full day out of the original battery and still using the same charger etc.

    • @leeendley8009
      @leeendley8009 2 роки тому +3

@@macyoung6634 yeh, that's very true. I didn't like the S22U due to its size and Note like design, so I thought about the S22+ but that was only 8Gb. Also I don't think Samsung's Exynos chip is as good as the 8 Gen-1, it annoys me we can't get the Snapdragon in the UK. Anyway I've got the Find X5 Pro now, really like it, although still getting used to ColorOS after oneplus's OxygenOS which I really liked.

For me the choice is clear but not for the reason you think.
About 3 years ago, my wife and I brought a dishwasher direct from Samsung. Consistently and continuously it has broken down every few months. Samsung's technical team are inept, sending 3 different engineers on 3 separate weeks with the wrong parts. They also refused to replace, despite having their own insurance sold by them that says that if it breaks down 3 times, they will. It's currently broken down and has been for 4 months. You heard that right. They haven't even sent an engineer to fix it yet, cos apparently the fool can't find our house. Shocking how everyone else can. The credit card company is refunding us and reclaiming the money from Samsung.
Oh and my wife sent in her Z Fold 2 for a battery replacement, it was sent by UPS, who confirmed it was delivered. Samsung claimed they haven't received it and the tracking must be wrong. Couldn't claim against UPS as they proved it was delivered and Samsung refused to do anything. In the end going to court was the only way to get it replaced or refunded, which we did last month.
As such, Oppo all the way. My last oppo phone, I dropped and broke the back glass. Sent it into them for repair on the Monday, received back on Friday in perfect condition and fully restored. In truth, that's sealed the deal.

But if a company, not matter how big or small, screws you over repeatedly, why would you continue to give them money for the pleasure of doing so. Samsung's customer service in our experience is hideous and the contempt they hold the customer in, is severe.
Factor in losing my wife's phone on top of all the other drama then basically telling us "Tough, buy another" is a good reason to consider my options.
Compared to the once I've had to use a Oppo repair being fast, efficient and to a great standard, it makes the choice for me.

The zoom is far superior on the S22, the colour balance is better on the X5 Pro, the stabilisation is better on the S22, fine detail is better on the X5 Pro. Battery is pretty much on par, Oppo wins the charging speed, Samsung wins with the S Pen, Oppo wins with the durability, being ceramic, Samsung smashes the screen brightness, Samsung has Dex, Oppo has wireless android auto if your car supports. Nice video. I found photography better to Oppo and videography better to Samsung. Oppo photo looks more accurate color (due to it saturation, but white balance sometimes off) and Samsung photo looks too much of sharpening. Video stabilization of Samsung was very good, Oppo need step up their video department. But beside of that we must consider that the Oppo price is already included with the charger, and more expensive Samsung is not. Let's see at the 3 or 6 month ahead if they have improvement, especially Oppo if the video stabilization is improved, I think it definitely worth to buy, but participate pre order of Oppo I think is already super worthy.

Mind you, the Oppo Find X5 Pro has the option to pick between the SD 8 Gen 1 or MT Dimensity 9000 chipset. The Dimensity 9000 is the only chipset that comes close to the A15 Bionic in GeekBench. And it outperforms the SD 8 Gen 1 in Antutu. MT has stepped up their game, especially in the flagship/highend realm of things. They decided to go with TSMC like Apple 👌. Either way, if Oppo can match or surpass Samsung in software update support, we might see people make the switch from Samsung to Oppo.

Oppo Find X Pro!!! Looks better! Feels better! Excellent unboxing experience! Everything included in the box! Cough, cough, Apple and Samsung! Better battery/charging! Night browsing is better! No exynos versions! The camera, even though not as potent as the S22 Ultra's, is great! No one is going to be complaining! S22 Ultra is a nice phone, but Oppo has a very appealing offering! When it comes down to it, it just depends on the person. All flagship smartphones are great nowadays! But wait until the Leica enhanced Xiaomi 12 Ultra comes out!🙏🙏🙏

Oppo Find X5 it is. Selfie camera is still quite good and not the most important. It has a slightly better display, on extensive tests a slightly better battery, same audio, more true to life pictures, where the Samsung tends to oversaturate and oversharpen a bit. That can be fine sometimes, but i prefer the more natural look, and you can always sharpen the picture a bit or edit and saturate for a bit more punch or warmer/colder tone. Besides after 1 year the Oppo Find x5 pro is a lot cheaper than the Samsung

Gonna be Honest in overall Samsung should beat Oppo in normal terms, but Oppo has a greater benefit, you get standard 12 Gig ram, while the S22 has it between 8-12 depending on how big the storage is that you take the bigger the more ram
Second, Oppo has 2 Smaller batteries where it does charge extremely fast, but on the opposite the Battery goes faster empty, but it isnt a problem since it has SuperVooc charging 10 minuts can fillup 50% after it it takes another 15 minuts to 100%
Oppo has no pen or Dex usage, Dex is something you dont wanna use on a phone i have it on my tablet very usefull but trust me you just don't switch that often to Dex modus,
S22 is an upgraded version of the S21 with camera and Pen optimization, the processor is newer but is running on a higher speed compared to the S21,
I have to admit that i would personally go with the Oppo, if you don't trust the Oppo go for Samsung great phone, only not a extremely big difference compared to the S21
    P. S. Just dont tell me that this and that is better, i have both phones used to the max and i gotta admit that Oppo is running everything and some aspects evenly better so yes i compare both

The Oppo is a beauty, a real looker and top end, premium but going by even only your photos, the S22 Ultra's Camera is in a whole different league. It holds much more detail in the shadows, highlights and everything in between. Pity that it is actually a Note. They should have named it Galaxy Note XX and made a sleek successor to the S21 Ultra though that one is a hard act to follow, forget better! Probably not a cost effective proposition for Samsung is my guess. It will come, a year down the line, when there is a better processor, camera and a 2160p display! I just bought the S21 Ultra over the 22, as it looks great + the camera is excellent. It's photos can be tweaked considerably, to come pretty close to the S22 Ultra. BBK are going to have to improve their cameras though the OnePlus 10 Pro is great value for money! The Oppo Find X5 Pro is going to be expensive and that lovely body goes into a case so... ? It is however, is just... drop dead gorgeous! And luxurious. Oppolent? 😜 The OS looks okay too. But for the camera, it's up there with the best with those specs! The Camera however, is the deal maker or breaker today.

    1. At this level of phone, nobody cares if the phone wobbles on a flat surface. I own the S22 Ultra and if you own this phone it is mandatory that you buy a case. Neither the iPhone Pro Max, the S22 Ultra or the Oppo are designed to be dropped.
    2. I have the same black color as you do and my phone has not picked up scratches. Maybe I just baby the phone more.
    3. I use a 25 Watt Samsung charger and it will charge my phone from 20% to 85% in a little over 30 minutes. I limit the charge to 85% to save the battery - and that is with the 25 Watt charger. I don't see that as being a long time to charge. 85% will easily provide a full day of heavy use. The S22 Ultra has an automatic setting that stops charging the phone at 85%, which is incredibly convenient.
    4. The display on the S22 Ultra display is the best on any current smart phone. Nearly every reviewer confirms this. My S20 Plus display was considered the best available when I bought it, but when I got my first look at the S22 Ultra's display, it literally took my breath away. The S22 Ultra display was that much better than the S20 Plus.
    5. Samsung provides amazing trade-in values for its phones. Get this, with T-Mobile, I got the S22 Ultra with 256 GB of memory and 12 GB of RAM for $200.00. It does require a two-year commitment to T-Mobile, but I don't have any plans to change carriers, so this is not an issue. If I had traded my S20 Plus in directly to Samsung, I would have got the same phone for $574.00. The new Samsung Galaxy phones also are starting to get higher resale values. I think they will continue to increase in resale value and will eventually challenge Apple's iPhone for the top resale value.
