Had all four of mine cut out yesterday. Honestly not bad at all. The worst pain is my hunger as liquid foods don’t fill you for too long 😂 I was out completely under anesthesia so I didn’t feel a thing. I haven’t had to use a narcotic yet... just stay on top of your Motrin and Tylenol! Warm salt water felt good. Ice is great. Honestly, if you follow all the directions you should be fine. AND: I didn’t get loopy or act crazy at all. Was just dizzy for a couple hours. Saying all this to say that everyone’s different! So don’t lose sleep the night before surgery watching horror stories like I did lol. In my experience so far... no big deal at all.
Great video. I got my four wisdom teeth pulled out 3 days ago and I was also put to sleep. It was a very pleasant experience and I am terrified of dentists. I even panic before I get a regular tooth cleaning. But I highly recommend getting put to sleep before wisdom tooth surgery. I can’t wait to start eating solid foods again!
Hannah Ervin Follow the aftercare advice regliously! The first few days it is critical you don't disturb the surgical area so the blood clots can start forming properly for fast healing. Ice your cheeks on and off the first day to help a ton, and don't skip on the gentle, veryyyy gentle, salt rinses after day 1 passes. No hot foods or straws or slurping. eat yogurt, soup, and Mashed potatos. It sucks but you'll get through it. Also sleep at an upright angle for 3 days to assist with healing at night.
ugh. I am having mine out next week and I'm only 13. When I went to the dentist and they took my x-ray, the lady was like, "OH! That's very rare for your age!" and I was like yeah no duh
I had my appointment today laughing gas and pills for 4 wisdom removal. None of this relaxed me. Last option sleeping I have major anxiety I literally feels strong hard beats on my heart
i had mine pulled out while i was awake!! it was traumatizing.. although i didn't feel any pain only pressure, i was still crying like a baby. worst experience of my life! and i have to go back and do it again :(
Dude they just numb the area. I only got 2 out of 4 removed this past Monday. I’m getting the rest out next month 😅 I was awake, very aware. I just don’t want to be put to sleep.
I had 3 of my 4 wisdom teeth removed - not at the same time. My bottom 2 were fully impacted. The upper right side was partially impacted and had to get a bone transplent done at the same time (I did it 4 days ago). Both times I got laughing gas and local anesthesia. I was so relaxed I didn't even feel the pain of the needle. I've heard the drilling, was responsive to the doctor's directions and felt some pressure. One side took 1 hour to get the tooth out and the other took 30 minutes. Walked out just fine after that no pain no nothing Although I looked like a chipmunk for 4 days. Couldn't eat solid foods and couldn't sleep lying down. The upper tooth I also got laughing gas and I fell asleep. The doctor had to wake me up. Then I fell asleep again and had the weirdest sensation of sleeping and not sleeping. I thought I was awake and flying somewhere but the doctor had a panic attack since the heart rate monitor that was on my finger WENT FLAT. I could hear it. I don't even know how to explain it. I was aware and unaware to what was going at the same time. SO I HEARD THE FLAT LINE ON THE MONITOR AND MADE MYSELF TO WAKE UP AND RESPOND TO HIS SLAPS. He was giving me small pinches and moved my hands to wake up. It was the weirdest thing ever happen to me. After that, it took him nearly 1 and a half hours to get my tooth out. Then he drilled and made the bone transplant and the special braces thingie over my tooth. Again, felt nothing and when I did, I asked for more anesthesia. Then he closed me up and I was on my way. I was more terrified before the surgery then during or after. Still recovering from that but it's easier since it's only one side so at least I can somewhat chew. Won't want to go through it again, but it wasn't as scary as I thought.
this calmed my anxiety so much. like I have to get them pulled at 7:30 am today it's like 1 am right now and I was terrified but this soothed my anxiety. thank you
I have extreme anxiety of feeling high. So I do NOT want a general anesthesia. But I also fear with just local anesthesia I’ll have anxiety of like tripping like am I still breathing? Can I swallow? Is my throat numb? I’m just all the way tripping out about this but I’ve put it off too long and have to get it done in a few weeks.
Asia Speights Bey I totally understand and agree with you when I had the procedure done I was given in general anesthesia and my thoughts were the same everything went well I didn’t have any discomfort with swallowing and breathing during the procedure hope this eases your anxiety
Asia Enchanted I just had the surgery yesterday I don’t even remember falling asleep due to the general anesthesia. They had a saline iv in my arm and that’s where they put the general anesthesia. I feel asleep immediately next thing I knew I woke up and felt a little dizzy and sleepy so. I kept my eyes shut and listened to my mom and the nurse talking. Don’t remember the survey at all and haven’t felt a lot of pain so far. They gave me an oxygen mask not laughing gas so I wasn’t giggly or crazy just tired. The numbness didn’t wear off for me till like 6 hours and I didn’t drink drink or eat anything until the numbness starting wearing off then I got a drink and took a pain pill. Barely the 2nd day but I feel good being careful about spitting and sucking. Stick to soft foods the first week but on the 2nd or 3rd try soft food like eggs.
Lmao stop being a 🐱. Got all 4 removed while I was awake and I just felt pressure that's it! I drove myself home after the surgery was done too. Idk why people like you make a big deal out of it.
Im 14 and i have braces on. In one week im getting my wisdom teeth out 😔 the reason why im getting them out is because they are getting in the way from my braces to straighten my teeth. im sooooo terrified because my sisters are literally telling me their stories of how they were getting theirs out.
Had 4 removed yesterday with local anesthesia only. Could feel almost everything when they were removving a fullyimpacted one. I was requesting more anesthesia but the surgeon said he gave me the max dose already and i have to just relax and it ill be over soon. Could hear and feel the drill. They had to crack the tooth aswell. OOF could feel that. Post surgery isn't too bad tho. I can talk just fine with minimal discomfort while on ibuprofen only.
Jose Hernandez I’m sorry sorry that your pain 😔 the antibiotics and pain medication should make you feel a whole let better. Let me know if your feeling better ❤️
Lol I didn’t really sleep the night before and I woke up with a headache and couldn’t take medicine bc I had to fast😭 but man let me tell you I’m so glad it’s over with
I haven’t been told if I’m getting my wisdom teeth out, but I can’t help worrying. I’m petrified of needles, does the needle hurt and can u feel it? And did you know that they were putting other needles in at the time (if they do) of the procedure? Thankyou for this though!❤️
Carys Rebecca so much was going on I didn’t realize it. It’s super fast. I would not worry about it because before you know it the anesthesia kicks in. 😊 I’m glad the video was helpful
Thanks this was so helpful! After a recent dentist appointment they showed me my x-ray and explained i have one impacted wisdom and need to remove it , how long do you think that will take ?
Oh boy I’m getting mine out soon and I’m Literally freaking I was supposed to get mine out almost 3 years ago and my dumbass backed out because I was so nervous and I have really bad anxiety so thank you for this video
marie Travers you'll be fine! I just had all four wisdom teeth removed while i was awake AND i'm 6 months pregnant. If you decide to stay awake, the worst part of the entire process is the needles going into your gums. Please prepare yourself for the pain after the numbing subsides! Be strong❤️
Lol I got mine pulled out today only two both on my left side. And I just got numbing thing injected and they pulled them out like they didn’t give a fuck. The pain after was so bad but the medication is so heavy I only ate and drink that and I would pass out all sleeping.I just switched to tynenal extra strength and that helps me out with pain and not knocking me out
Ok so I have one tooth growing in. I’m going to the dentist to see what they think. Then, if necessary have to go to the oral surgeon. Been looking at videos on the topic for the past hour. I have a low tolerance for pain, so I’m super scared if I have to get it removed. I’ve gotten a root canal and another tooth pulled, but I heard wisdom teeth are painful. However, your video has actually calmed some of my nerves, so thank you.
I got all 4 of mine out 5 days ago (March 18th 2021) and I’ve been watching a few videos over it before and after my surgery. I came across your video and I would love to say it was a great video. I had a similar experience. I don’t know if they gave me the laughing gas or not because I don’t remember them giving it to me but I remember that I had to get the IV. I don’t have good veins so it took a couple tries but they finally got it in and I’m going to say within a few minutes I was out of it lol. I don’t remember much but I do remember that I was so out of it and so “high” on anesthesia that they had to remind me multiple times to breathe lol. I felt so good that I didn’t breathe. Like I previously said, I am now 5 days post opp and I now am in a little bit of pain on my upper left side and my lower right side of my mouth. It’s so weird to see the wholes lol. Anyway, GREAT video!
One was impacted the other wasn’t. I did not feel anything but the became aware after the finished the first tooth. Not painful at all just uncomfortable for the first 5 days
I got them taken out yesterday. They didnt give me any gas, just numbed the zone with local anesthesia. I was aware of everything clearly and it took so long. About 2h30 hours... I could hear the nerves ripping out and feel the pressure of them pulling out the teeth. Would not do that again... I can start eating soft food in a couple hours, Im so hungry. I hope I recover quickly. Did you have to clean the wound with a syringe and water? They didnt give me any syringes so I don't know. They didnt give me antibiotics either, just painkillers.
Also it hurts when I swallow. It feels like its pulling on the wound. Did you experience that aswell? I just want to be really careful so I dont get dry sockets
Divio18 wow that’s insane your a trooper I could’ve done that. They sent me home on heavy duty pain medication and a oral rinse no syringe though. But make sure you rinse thoroughly because you do not want anything getting trapped in there or any dry sockets. I wish you the best of luck on your healing journey 💕
Devon Taylor i was awake during mine i didn't really feel anything but tugging and when they cut your gums open your throat fills whith blood i just just swallowed it tho
I just got all four of mine out today , everything went good other then the nurse accidentally forgot to put the end tube in the iv to make sure that my blood doesn’t shoot out so while she was putting in the iv I started feeling my whole arm get warm and sure enough it was blood , but once they got me cleaned up everything else went good , when I woke up I couldn’t even believe they were done because it was so quick ! So if you’re nervous , don’t be , the only bad part is the swelling and pain after and as long as you take the medicine you should be fine ! Btw I loved the video , I relate a lot !
Zachary Harper it differs for each person. I personally needed to because I have a tremendous fear of dentists. They gave me laughing gas, and a drug agent. I was 26 years old
Until when where you able to actually chew your food? How many days did it take? I have stiches too and im saad i cant even open my mouth big enough :_(
Hey girl The video was very helpful!! I got my first wisdom tooth removed 5 days ago, it's still a little sore but they just stuck a needle in my mouth and that was that lol I was completely awake during the whole thing I even felt and heard the tooth being cracked and ripped out lol weird experience! But like I said I got it removed 5 days ago and just today I noticed my stitches had came out or dissolved whatever you wanna call it lol so I'm just wondering about that, is it bad ? Is it common ?? Lol I just don't know
I have a nasty bad breath after mines and this funky foul smell coming from the open tooth ugh idk what to do. I called my doctors told them they said it's normal. It's so nasty. Are you experiencing this?
i’m 48+ hours in afterwards and i feel like crap, i got all 4 wisdom teeth pulled and the only one that hurts was the only one that was peaking out. idk if it’s a dry socket or if it has more pain then the rest but it’s pretty painful. not to forget the swelling on my left cheek, i think that’s what hurts the most
I got mines out 2 days ago! Since that day and now I’m totally ok I just feel a little weird inside empty tooth I had an oral surgery when can I eat hard food anyone knws
I’m so terrified 😭 mine is causing extreme pain and it’s crooked. I literally cannot eat or lie down on my left side. I definitely do not want to make the appointment but I need it out. I’m so scared!!
Sammie Barcus if it’s causing you pain or discomfort you should definitely see your dentist. Trust once it’s out you are going to feel so much better. I understand that your scared I was too but I was over in a flash😊 you are going to be fine. Let me know how it turns out
Jewel Jasmine thank you so much for your comment and your video! I do feel a bit better about getting it done. I keep telling myself that everyone has to get it done at one point in life and it’ll all be okay. Anxiety is not fun!!
Jewel Jasmine I went in and finally got them done!! Apparently, my teeth were completely straight! I got them all pulled within 18 minutes. I’m so glad they’re out!
monique gyampo no I didn’t get implants. I could be perfectly fine without the tooth. My right upper molar had a really bad cavity so I had them take it instead of doing a root canal.
Thankyou for sharing your personal experience this actually made me feel better now I was so scared but I have good pain tolerance but I’ve never in my life had surgery and I searched videos on how wisdoms were removed and was shocked but I feel a lot better now about this haha
The initial X-ray was done at my dentist a month before the oral surgeon took his own X-ray for his records. Plus he had the ones from my doctor too! He gave antibiotics after the surgery and laughing gas and anesthesia before he started
Been swollen for a week (including the day of surgery) and im just wondering when it will be gone completely? (Btw i had 5 wisdom teeth pulled at the same TIME)
@@JasmineBresnihan thank you , just had a follow-up today they said im healing pretty good, so far so good ig :) on day 7 1/2 as i type this cant wait to get off liquid diet and get on soft food diet
I get mine pulled out on Friday and I’m so nervous. I’m scared of needles so the iV and aftermath is gonna be scary for me 😂 I hear it’s painful but yet I hear it’s not so I’m not sure what to believe and how it’s gonna go for me😂
Thanks so much for posting this, girl! Very informative. I'm actually getting this done soon. I am wondering if you could explain more about what it was like to get put to sleep? This is the part that FREAKS me OUT!! Like, what does it feel like? How do they do it? What does it feel like when they put the stuff in, like do you get sleepy or is more like wide awake to instantly out? Could you have stayed awake if you would have tried or is it impossible? Haha. Basically whatever you remember about that part would be helpful. Thanks so much!
well everyones experience is different! But what I experienced was the gave me laughing gas. They put a mask on my face and it made me calm(mellow). Then the put an IV in and administered the anasetia. Then they proceded to tell me to count back. After count to 6/7 I was out. The way i could possibly explain it is being extremely drunk. Loopy and disoriented. The room was spinning and I was hallucinating. Hope this was helpful. Please feel free to ask any more questions if need be.
I got mine out ,they didnt do the gas just the shots and they were out so fast and only felt a little preasure.my sons getting his 2 top and 1 bottom oout with just the shots.
Wow! You don’t handle anesthesia well. It’s not common for people to sleep as much as you did but it’s also not abnormal. I have panic attacks when it comes to dental surgery. I’m currently is crazy pain waiting for my consolation at this new dentist office that is located in a hospital. I hadn’t been to the dentist in 3 years. Was too busy having an organ transplant to think about anything but that. But I started having a crazy tooth ache and went to this new dentist in my town as the one I usually went too, I was abused by one of their former workers and don’t feel like going back. But I’ve had a difficult time finding a dentist to take my wisdom teeth out and one of my molars that has a bad cavity and has been chipped from the way my one wisdom tooth is coming in. The reason for the difficulty finding a dentist is no one wants to touch me as I’ve had a transplant so I’m at a greater risk for infection. All my transplant doctors have said is to give me extra antibiotics a week before the surgery. As antibiotics stop you from getting infections. I go in 2 weeks to see my 4th (new) dentist and I’m hoping I can get it done soon as even my crazy anxiety isn’t worth this pain. I like how you said you have bad anxiety with the dentist, seeing how you handled it makes me feel better
MamaKandBabyE I totally understand your concerns. As long as you follow the dentist instructions you are going to be perfectly fine. Please let me know or update me on how it goes 😊💕
How long did it take for your stitches to fall out/dissolve? Im just now finishing day three and it feels like one of them are falling out or maybe it loosened idk just wanna know your experience.
+Jakob Carballo Well they said that they would dissolve in 5/7 days but it never Dissolves. I had the same experience. Mine fell out after a week. It was annoying.
I felt like that too! It’s perfectly normal. You will be okay. There are professionals who do these procedures multiple times a day. Just express you concerns before the surgery so the doctor is aware and he/she will give you laughing gas to ease the anxiety. Let me know how it goes and speedy recovery 💕
i got mine out today, it was the most painful thing .... but i’m home feeling better still bleeding and taste gross of course but i’m glad i don’t feel that much pain
I got 2 of my tooths pulled today..it hurted so so bad..the dentist was so rude and meen to me and very rude...Im looking like DUDE IM IN PAIN!!! Getting your tooth pulled really hurts
o mg imma be getting my 4 wisdom teeth removed next friday and I'm just anxious about the anesthesia since I see some of these videos and people end up WACK-I'm scared of saying some dumb shit exposing myself lmaooo
It’s totally fine I think the dentist staff are that on a normal basis. The anesthesia will help distract you from everything so you should be fine😁 let me know the outcome
@@JasmineBresnihan at rhe dentist they injected me 12 times lol i felt like i couldmt swallow so i paniced for a bit then came.the fun part lol i felt the pressure but nothing to bad until the last tooth i felt the cold machine breaking through my teeth i got injected 2 more times n no more than 10min i was out. It was 2hrs lomg for me. On the car ride i felt this annoying paint on the holes too. I heald that paint till night time n too my meds. I domt feel no major pain? Idk if thats good or.maybe latwr today ill feel tbat pain lol
Thanks Jewel! :D it went so well btw. Thank you for trying to reach us out and please don't stop continue your hard work and passion :> have a nice day!
@@lagunabeachswtie not bad at all! i dont remember anything from the surgery itself but afterwards there wasn't too much pain. days 1-2 weren't bad. day 3 was the worst but still bearable. and everyday after that wasnt bad. the worst part was not eating. i got lucky with the little amount of pain
I had mine done last week and after the first 2 hours I was done with the gauze bc you’re supposed to have a blood clot formed. At least that’s what I was told. Good luck to you hopefully your experience is just as good. Lol I managed to lose 10 pounds which I’m certain is all muscle bc I haven’t been able to eat but I’m slowly gaining strength in my teeth to eat.
The MJ Channel that’s normal! The dentist explains everything once your there. The healing was worst for me because I couldn’t eat the way I wanted to. Best of luck! Let me know how it goes.
I just got home crying after having them removed awake with local numbing. I also had to bike home alone 😂 the overal experience was really brutal and traumatic to me. Eventhough I didn't feel much, I could hear everything which was absolutely disturbing
Jewel Jasmine it was okay not too bad I just had really bad nausea and threw up as a anesthesia side affect but over all it was not as bad as I thought it would be your video helped A LOT.
I went to the dentist a few weeks ago and they said that they were going to refer me to the hospital. How long does it take for the hospital to give me a date cause I’m stressing? 😂😂
I got my wisdom teeth removed a while back but if you can will you check out my vid on my experience with my tooth?! I have pics included!! It was the worst pain and one side of my face blew up!!

Thanks this was so helpful! After a recent dentist appointment they showed me my x-ray and explained i have one impacted wisdom and need to remove it , how long do you think that will take ?
no more than 35 mins I believe
1 tooth? it’s like 15 min tops
Fully impacted take 45 minutes
Oh boy I’m getting mine out soon and I’m Literally freaking I was supposed to get mine out almost 3 years ago and my dumbass backed out because I was so nervous and I have really bad anxiety so thank you for this video
marie Travers no problem I’m glad it helped
marie Travers you'll be fine! I just had all four wisdom teeth removed while i was awake AND i'm 6 months pregnant. If you decide to stay awake, the worst part of the entire process is the needles going into your gums. Please prepare yourself for the pain after the numbing subsides! Be strong❤️
The worst is not the needle the immense pressure 😢
I just got my three wisdom teeth removed 2 days ago and it was near the nerve I was so nervous but it went all well m glad
Lol I got mine pulled out today only two both on my left side. And I just got numbing thing injected and they pulled them out like they didn’t give a fuck. The pain after was so bad but the medication is so heavy I only ate and drink that and I would pass out all sleeping.I just switched to tynenal extra strength and that helps me out with pain and not knocking me out
Chelita Corona omg wow!! I agree with choosing Tylenol over the heavy meds. I’m glad you are doing better😊
Jewel Jasmine thank you thank you❤️ and I hope you doing way better yourself too!!! Because these things ain’t no joke!! Love your YT ❤️❤️
Did you feel pain during the surgery?
Ok so I have one tooth growing in. I’m going to the dentist to see what they think. Then, if necessary have to go to the oral surgeon. Been looking at videos on the topic for the past hour. I have a low tolerance for pain, so I’m super scared if I have to get it removed. I’ve gotten a root canal and another tooth pulled, but I heard wisdom teeth are painful. However, your video has actually calmed some of my nerves, so thank you.
I’m so happy it did! Please let me know how it goes for you 😊
I got all 4 of mine out 5 days ago (March 18th 2021) and I’ve been watching a few videos over it before and after my surgery.
My hand is sweating just listening to this video 😂
😂 I totally agree
I got my wisdom teeth removed 2 days ago, all four of them so today is my third day and my face is still so swollen, how long does the swollen take?
About 10 days to 2 weeks. I hope you have a speedy recovery
Is your tooth horizontal impacted? How do you feel with slice and suture gum? Is it painful after anesthesia off?
One was impacted the other wasn’t. I did not feel anything but the became aware after the finished the first tooth. Not painful at all just uncomfortable for the first 5 days
@@JasmineBresnihan after the surgery you did not feel the slice gum and the suture of the gum. Did they drill your impacted around the wisdom tooth

@@JasmineBresnihan did your tooth impacted under the gum? Or bone
@@JasmineBresnihan u did not feel your impacted wisdom tooth after surgery?
Divio18 I didn’t experience that just sensitivity in the back with cold and hot things
@@JasmineBresnihan Thank you for the tips and infos!!
Did you experience any nausea that’s what I’m most nervous about :(
Devon Taylor no I didn’t. Just discomfort
Devon Taylor i was awake during mine i didn't really feel anything but tugging and when they cut your gums open your throat fills whith blood i just just swallowed it tho
Xavion Overmyer wow your experience was better than mine
I'm often nauseous.... But I wasnt when I had my teeth removed
i did i threw up a lot ... mainly because I had to swallow the blood :( wasn’t pleasant
Thank you I’m glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing.

What happened with the 5th tooth? Did u get implants. Please share ur experience.
monique gyampo no I didn’t get implants. I could be perfectly fine without the tooth. My right upper molar had a really bad cavity so I had them take it instead of doing a root canal.

Why would they remove the teeth the same day of the X-ray ? No antibiotics or calming medication beforehand ... ?
The initial X-ray was done at my dentist a month before the oral surgeon took his own X-ray for his records. Plus he had the ones from my doctor too! He gave antibiotics after the surgery and laughing gas and anesthesia before he started
Jewel Jasmine phew cause I was nervous for you sis lol. Plus I had to take Xanax two hours prior for the nerves.

Wow I commend you! I definitely needed to be knocked out.
wait if you got stitched up is there a 0% chance of a dry socket?
Alex Þór Sigurðsson I’m not sure but I didn’t experience that
