Poor Ritzo, it is hard on them when blind dogs are out of their own environment, because they don't know where things are. What special little pack of doggos.
Ritzo is an amazing dog. He’s by far my favourite, he went blind last year and he still has the same energy as he did before.
There is more to it than that. Whiskers are a very important sensory organ. For blind dogs even more. If a dog's muzzle is shaved, they are damaged/removed and the dog has an even harder time noticing obstacles. In my country, damaging/removing whiskers is forbidden by law.
Little guy got me good. My aunt had an adorable cocker spaniel who went blind, but she was still the sweetest little lady. She was my uncle's buddy and helped keep him a bit more grounded after he developed Parkinson's. She was old, though, and deteriorated after her favorite human passed away. Ritzo reminded me of her. They both had/have black coats. I'm kicking myself though. It's early in the morning and I can't remember what the little lady's name was for anything.
@@AngelaBilotta-cz1dy He seems like such a sweet boy! I have had several blind dogs and had to learn that I couldn't reorganize furniture on a whim because of them. My little guy now is going blind too.
@@Greygarg excuse me but breeds like poodles don't shed and have to be clipped. These breeds were bred to be cut and not to shed. You can't just let the hair on their face continue to grow and grow and grow. It will get matted because it is curly too. Also, if the hair is not clipped on their face, then a seeing dog won't be able to see because of the hair over their eyes. An overgrown poodle will become so matted it will become painful and possibly tear the skin.
Also, the whiskers don't help them when they are blind that much because by the time, they are that close to something it is usually too late.
7:54 My four year old son loves the 'grinch feet' parts. He'll hear the sound of the shaver and come running into the room yelling 'GRINCH FEET'!? Then we watch you trim their feet together.
Hearing Vanessa say Grinch feet is my favourite part of any video
Awwwwwww...
I'm 66 and can relate to your son as many probably do.
All three were exceptional little gentlemen! But that Coco’s face really tugged on my heartstrings!
Yes!! He was smiling so big on the table and then his little face at the end!!😢
Me too, he was an little cutie 🥰
How this that incredibly calm gentleman part shitzu, chi and yorkie? those are super aggressive breeds. incredible owners.
I know, right?!❤
I so enjoyed viewing these adorable grooms!!❤❤
What an adorable trio. It is no surprise to me it was the Yorkie being vocal. Many years ago I use to give my Yorkie terrible haircuts. I'd be literally crying with laughter afterwards, and apologising. So I sent her to the groomers thereafter.
Oh man hopefully you have photos from that time period of your yorkie📸🐶🐾🥰👌🏻🤪
@@mercedesvelasquez8781 I don't know if it was my laughing so much, usually in tears, but she even LOOKED humiliated herself, bless her. Plenty of photos but sadly none of my handy work. Wish I did.
I used to groom my mother's miniature schnauzer, Smokie Topaz. She would hide after going to the groomers and act so embarrassed, but she loved to show off when I did it! I just tried to make her look like the pictures in books my mom had. Smokie would just stand so nice and watch her beautiful silver fur fall onto the kitchen floor. Maybe it was because I sat on the floor with her and shared my sandwiches for "break snacks"... She was one of the sweetest dogs I've ever been around. 💘
@@trishr.3986 I certainly didn't have your skills. There would be a chunk missing, bald patch or dog with a wonky fringe! LOL Like your Smokie Topaz - so posh she has 2 names : ) my Wanda was a sweetie too. Loved everyone and would stand and take it, even when I'm doing a bad job. She was amazing.
Poor Arlo in the background. That's why I could never be a groomer. I would have to stop everything to comfort a crying doggie
That was extraordinary. Some dogs freak out. These guys knew the drill. Maybe having the pack nearby for moral support is soothing. Rizzo slowly bumping into things, Arlo being a drama queen, and Coco being blasé about the whole thing. A real pleasure to watch. Tho blind, Rizzo found the exit door. Smart dog!
The three amigos are ready for the party! The crying in the crate was hilarious. "Arlo, must you? You must." Watching you cut their hair with scissors is precision work. It is almost like a well-choreographed dance. ❤ The sound of the sharp scissors is also soothing. ASMR.
How relaxing! They were all so well behaved! And adorable.
Coco looks like my rescue male Teddy 💛 And the crate dryer was clearly killing Arlo 🤣
He was singing the song of his people
All three were such good dogs!
My dog looks like Arlo, and if they are the same, the only thing that stops death is freedom. Everything else is merely a new way to kill them. You will be paid in kind.
You should hear Arlo when Ritzo is gone for a couple of hours. All he does is cry. 😆
@@AngelaBilotta-cz1dydo you know these dogs personally just curious is all🤗
arlo singing the song of his people was really funny in the background hahaha. its always easy to notice when you're REALLY focusing on the dog in these videos because you use subtitles more and talk less. it really shows how much you care for these dogs. ♥ (:
❤
Not funny, sad.
We fostered a tiny (6 pound) blind yorkie for a few months. He was always joining in where he could. If our dogs were barking & being silly, he would sit down and join in as a background singer. If they were outside, he would carefully wander the yard (we were right with him, & had a 'halo' collar for him) and bark at the wind, until they would check on him. He enjoyed sniffing around, following their scents, and rolling in the warm grass with them.
@@antiquegirl6505 sounds like a sweet lil guy!!!
@@caperAntagonist He is living a great life, that almost makes up for the horrible condition he was found in. He has 2 siblings and 2 retired slaves, who wait on all 3 of them, paw & foot. 😆👍🐕💞
Very chill and well trained. Good owners for sure, especially caring well for that old fellow. My aunt and uncle had a diabetic cat and it’s not easy.
❤️
@@AngelaBilotta-cz1dy❤
😊
All three are so cute! Before and after, but the do look different. It is so nice to see how you work with each dog meeting their needs! The owners and the dogs are very lucky to have you as their (the dogs) groomer!
love how you had to clarify that vanessa is the dogs groomer 🤣
What well behaved little guys, a credit to their owner
Oh, poor Ritzo 😢 Glad you are their groomer. They all were such good boys and turned out beautiful 😍
Nice to see you showing pet parents how a series of dogs are groomed so they understand how more than one dog is groomed in a session!
They're all so cute, and what good boys too. You can tell they were uncomfortable/slightly nervous but they behaved the whole time anyway. I hope they get spoiled at home, they deserve it.
For a visually impaired dog, Rizzo sure is independent. All 3 amigos looked like the most handsome of boys
I just noticed that you hold your shears, the same way that human hairdressers are taught to do. That makes sense, but it would never have occurred to me without seeing you do it, that pet groomers would be taught the same way. You do such a good job, Vanessa!
IIRC, Vanessa was grooming humans before she switched to grooming animals. I don't know if there is a difference in training, but if there is, that may account for it.
I know it's a better way to hold to reduce fatigue and carpal tunnel. curious now if a groomer will comment and tell us how they hold theirs!
All 3 pups look so good after their "spa day" with you. Good job!
That’s so thoughtful of you Charlene, Thanks for your positive review,How are you and how’s the weather over there?
3 Amigoes off on a car ride. What darlings. Special grooming with tender love and care. Narration Brilliant 😊😊😅😊😊
Despite his dramatic crate arias, Arno was beautifully docile for his trim, and it made me giggle how every time you gestured to explain his cut, he thought it was an incoming loving & kept chasing the pats! 😄 3 very dignified older doggos, and so incredibly well-behaved for their nail clippings, bravo!
You can tell that they feel so much better after their grooms. Lots of happy faces and wagging tails.
Arlo was singing the song of his very unhappy people. Guess he didn’t like the dryer😫😂 Three cute smol beans🥰
Coco was such a little gentleman and has the cutest lil face! ❤ Arlo cracked me up, stealing the spotlight with his DRAMA 😂
The way my jaw dropped when I saw just how black Arlo's black was underneath the longer fur! Great job on all of them, loved the before and afters! Such well behaved puppies
I know right? I kept thinking that Vanessa was giving him a makeover by cutting all his gray hairs off! 😊
What an after group! You can see all their eyes. Arlo was the most vocal, but for me he turned out the cutest. Nice they're all so used to you and take it calmly, especially Ritzo. Good boys!
Why is it so relaxing for me to watch these dog grooming videos? I love them.
Wow.... 3 cute scruffy boys came into your salon and when finished they had become 3 distinguished older gentlemen. Fantastic transformation as usual. I am sure you could groom dogs as you sleep!!!! Thank you for the 3 amigos show.
Awww they were such a breath of fresh air compared to the ones you've been having to deal with lately! They looked so good with their faces trimmed, you could see more of their cute personalities! You are so good with our fur babies! I wish there were more like you in this world!!!
Cute little, handsome gents! Myaunt had a blind dog and one her pups was her eyes and guided her thru their home.
What well-behaved dogs.
They all wind up adorable in the end!! 🥰🥰🥰
These guys are so chill. Kudos to you and their owners.
Cutest bunch of dogs ever! I bet they're a handful at home, haha! Coco's my favorite of the three, his eyes are adorable! 😍
Arlo looks exactly like my first dog Puffy and I have never ever seen a dog that looked like her in my life! I just love how wonderful you are with all your dogs that come in for grooms
That’s so thoughtful of you Leeese, Thanks for your positive review,How are you and how’s the weather over there?
So much confidence and precision on those nail trims!!!
Yesss!! I'm terrified with each snip! I could never be a groomer. "You can up your dog in 4 hours. It takes me 2 hours to trim nails. " 😂😂
I would love to be able to be a dog groomer.
Unfortunately, I’m terrified doing nail trims. 😢
I cut my dog to the quick once and I’m a nervous wreck after that 😢.
I hear the groomer song sung by these dapper gentlemen..💛🐩🐕🇨🇦🇺🇸
It’s not a proper grooming appointment without that song 😊😆
Loved watching you work with the trio - they were well behaved and you always maintain such good calm focus and work and get it done without undue stress. Brava Girl With The Dogs !
This reminds me that I have to call and make an appointment with my groomer for my two mini-dachshunds. Too bad Vanessa's place is so far away.
arlo knows how to tuck at your heart strings
Arlo’s sad noises had my Nezzy so concerned!!
What a pack of little cuties! I just started following you a couple of weeks ago, and am loving learning about different breeds, and seeing the different personalities. But the most important thing I'm learning is how much work and time it takes to properly groom a dog. I've always done my own dogs, and since most of them have lived in the country with me, and we take long walks on our land - and "water features", I've seldom taken them to a groomer. Retrievers LOVE hopping into water - summer or winter. so there's no keeping them pretty. But I'm learning some things that I should do while I'm grooming them. Right now we have an 18 month old rebellious teenager, and it is NO easy task getting her to cooperate. So we're mainly focusing on trying to desensitize her and working towards the things she won't let us do (feet). She's been neglected for the past six months or so because of health difficulties on the part of my wife and myself. So we've got some catching up to do. I wouldn't unload her on a groomer for any reason I can think of at this point. She is very intelligent, and VERY stubborn! So our mission is pretty clear: to out-stubbornize her and get her to the point where she will cooperate. Wish us luck!
Arlo in particular looks like a completely different dog! But they all look very handsome.
What fantastic three amigos, so well behaved 💙💙💙
WOW. Three well-behaved doggies. Owner doing something.
Oh my gosh! So cute! Arlo looks like my little girl that I lost last April. 😢 Great job on all three. Very cute. ❤❤❤🐶🐶🐶
Arlo being shaved... looking like a surfer dude with his epic hair do! Such a cutie pie
Aww shaving all the black coat off to reveal the old boy grey. I'm sure if he could see he would be pissed 🤣
I had no idea that curly and long haired breeds needed so much grooming. Thanks for your video. I have a rescue JR Rat terrier mix who is really just a wash and go with a nail trim. I will really take your info into consideration when I get another rescue someday. CUTE VIDEOS!
Yes, because their hair gets really long quickly and covers their eyes, can get matted easily, and they just look unkempt.
My grandparents’ dog looks like a ragamuffin after a couple of weeks without a groom. It’s very easy to tell when she needs a haircut.
Such beautiful well behaved dogs. As for Ritzo, what an absolute cutie (they all were), but he truly stole my heart ❤️ ❤❤
I just finally saw what you said about clipping the nails and seeing the spot to stop!!
Again great job. All three doggos look hilarious, especially Arlo. ❤
They are all camera-shy.
What absolutely beautiful little dog's they are and very well behaved in the bathtub and on the grooming table as well Arlo look a different dog now his hair has been cut I would like to take the time out to appreciate all the hard work that Vanessa put's into grooming all these absolutely beautiful Dog's and cat's and i would like to take the time out to thank Vanessa from all the Dog's and cat's that can't say it for themselves.... Vanessa you do absolutely amazing job on all these beautiful dog's and cat's you are a fantastic dog groomer..
Arlo seemed like the most satisfying to groom, with that intense black appearing when you were shaving him. He also seemed so chill.
What good boys they are. Great grooms.
Arlo was singing "Alice's Restaurant!"
Little Ritzo is such a sweet guy.
The first dog (I'm not sure how to spell his name) and Coco are such good boys! Coco is able to see and is still a sweetheart. The first one is unable, but is still such a calm boy. And the second one, Arlo, also calmed down when it was time for face and paws. Gentlemen.
They all came out so adorable! I like my little girl to have all that hair out of her face too. I have to bathe her about every 7-10 days because she’s the stinkiest doggie ever!
The fact that they were groomed four months ago, yet they all have very long nails tells me they never walk on surfaces hard enough to wear their nails down. They were all such good, sweet boys. I loved Arlo‘s song from the drying crate.
I always worry about crate drying like that. We have had many tragedies in the UK where dogs have overheated and died.
Unfortunately some pet stores don't have the proper equiptment and so the dryers are bad. But a lot of crate dryers nowadays stop when they get to a certain temperature so they don't overheat.
I’m not even surprised! These cages with the 3 big tubes of air blowing at them looked honestly like a torturing device somehow… I cannot imagine being locked into something like that… of course it saves time but at what cost?!
@@katv1195 What we have discovered in the UK is that there are too many variables to say that crate dryers are 'safe', even your reply makes reference to a key variable (temperature management).
They are all so stinking cute, but Arlo is just so adorable to me.
What good boys! Thanks for another fun video, from someone who can't have pets but loves them!
Three distinguished older gentlemen
What adorable and well behaved fur babies!
You do such a fantastic job, and are so knowledgeable on the different breeds of dogs, love to watch you!
Omg!!! What a triple pack of adorable cuteness!!! 🖤🧡🖤
You’re so FAST around the eyes! That’s alot of experience right there!
Great job!
Three lovely Boys ❤❤❤😍😍😍😍
I had to laugh at Arlo?(the second dog) so much when you got his face wet 😂
These boys are so well-behaved with you. You can tell you've been grooming them for a long time. Their hair cuts a cute 🤩🫶❤️
That’s so thoughtful of you Wendy, Thanks for your positive review,How are you and how’s the weather over there?
aww what good boys! My puppy is having his 2nd groom today and he was so very excited to be there this morning lol.
Three dollies! Very well behaved. You are so good at what you do. Your love of dogs is so obvious. ❤❤❤
Rizo seemed to notice when you pi ked up the blades to begin as he followed your hand...but maybe it was the sound or feel of the motion he could sense. Poor baby bumping into walls also broke my heart 😂❤. His mobility though seems great!
His mobility is excellent. He finds the stairs at home and climbs them no problem. He amazes me. 😊
You are so gentle with older and special needs dogs.
They all look adorable. 😍
Ritzo (?) Looks like my old dog Sturgis, who was a black mini poodle. I miss that little ball of energy.
OMG could the three amigos be cuter?? You do an excellent job! How do you stay so calm?
Marvelous job, these guys look so distinguished and were very well behaved. I am happy to have been mable to watch. Take care.
Coco seems lowkey embarrased about Arlo's whining during his crate drying. his body language is like, "Ma'am you said that's my sibling? Nope, not today at least"
The three amigos are delightful, and looked very handsome at the finish. Beautiful work!
4:25 ah so cute, Arlo is signing you the song of his people ❤
I just saw your channel last night and I am obsessed I don’t even know how many videos I already watched😭😭😭I hope more people learn from your videos!
I have been watching you, Vanessa, since the Summer of 2022, and watching THIS video reminds me, JUST how much you have evolved as a UA-camr and instructional groomer!! Wow! And, I LOVE your Nasty Critter Shampoo, for my bigTerrier Mix and the DeShedding Shampoo and Conditioner, for my Mini Shepherd. I have learned SO much!! Thank you! :)
Such well-behaved little doggies...
lol they fear the cameraman 😅
Arlo is clearly the baby of the bunch. 😄
They are all so cute and SMALL!! ❤
They are such absolute darlings!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Amazing how you can do 3 smaller dogs in the same time for a larger dog. I would think that due to their coats and you knowing each one so well, must help the process. Really interesting to see, and of course a wonderful job. ❤
What lovely boys and so well behaved. Obviously much loved. I am so jealous of the owner.
Hi Vanessa, you doing a wonderful groom on these three, their transformation is amazing, Ritzo, Arlo, and CoCo,are lucky dogs to give them beautiful grooms. Love Katherine xoxo
What a lovely little family of dudes! Such beautiful manners. ❤
Lovely time spent in your company. Your videos have been most educational in helping me improve the grooming of my 15 yo poodle mix. Thank you!
I really appreciate that you explain why you're doing everything. It gives me a deeper appreciation of the relationships you have formed with each of your clients. 🖤
8:55 that litto "look" he gives there is so cute 😍
theyre all so SWEET
It's amazing how hidden a dog's head shape is by all that fluff. Mum used to have a 'walking mop' mixed breed dog and she looked just like them, ungroomed.
3 adorable gentleman!
oh my goodness. Arlo reminds me a lot of my yorkie 💖 what a sweetie
