So, I bought a Sumosys emulator system a few years ago and has 11k+ games on it. Definitely one of my favorite purchases of all-time, but I hate how poorly made the controllers are, they ALL break (B button ends up sticking) and I have already gone through half a dozen or more of them. This system you reviewed definitely has more recent generation consoles/games on it then the one I have and looks pretty good. Not sure how much it costs and whether the controllers are issue like on the system I have, but I really appreciate you posting this review!!! Thank you!!

Yeah i got a sumosys 700 back in 2017 or 2018. I agree the controllers aren't great, one of my d-pads broke and even the player 1 usb port got so loose it would disconnect VERY easily. But also about a year ago it started glitching out sometimes and bouts of random slowdown and/or speedup would happen, in some games more than others. Got to the point where it became basically unplayable and so last week i sadly called it a day and put it away for good 🥲. $150 CAD i got 4 or 5 years out of it, not bad i guess 🤷

I don't think there is any plug and play that includes everything. There is custom built arcades that use a raspberry pi with retropi installed on them. A PC is also an option. You would need a decent amount of storage to get complete Gamesets for each system. More for the "newer" consoles like Dreamcast, PS1, PS2 and Xbox. Older consoles like Atari, N64, NES, SNES take up barely any memory and can be emulated on any PC pretty easily.

I bought myself a pre configured hard drive with tons of games and launch box all set up was definitely worth it in the time it would of took me to set all that up. Not that I can't it's just I work a lot so it saves me a lot of free time. I think for 99 bucks this thing is a pretty good deal but if you wanna play 6th gen titles and some ps3 as well as 360 emulation a pre configured hard drive is the way to go if you have a decent pc. It's just nice to have all those games ready to go on a dedicated drive and not have to go to rom sites and bounce around trying to find the right download button.

This is a great buy and love having it. I wanted to add that a LOT of the games in there have multiple versions. There are US, Euro, Chinese, Japanese versions of the same game. Some, like Street Fighter and King of Fighters, have many versions. The the real number of individual games is therefore far less than advertised since the 100,000 number includes all the different versions. Its not a big deal because it’s still a huge amount of games to try.

    • @o-SPECTRE-o

@@andrewcarpino1838 yes, they’re the same games. They mostly run as normal. You can save the usual way, as you would with the original games, and you have a separate save state option that can be accessed where you can pause and save anywhere you want (I can’t remember what the button combo is though). There is two player option, but on this machine you only get two USB ports. One is used up by the memory card that has the games which leaves one open port for the joypad dongle. You can use a separate usb splitter to connect more joypads, or in my case I just used the 8bitdo pro SN30 joypad which connects without needing a dongle.

A fellow "Street Supremacy" enjoyer! I believe the biggest reason it didn't do well is the name. It's part of Genki's "Shutokou Battle" series in Japan. At the time most of the series had been published in the West by Crave under the fairly well known "Tokyo Xtreme Racer" branding. For some reason Konami ended up with the global rights to the PSP entry from Genki; but not the rights to the "TXR" brand, as that belonged to Crave. So, Konami had to use a new, and unknown, brand name for it. I think if Crave had gotten it and called it something like "Tokyo Xtreme Racer Portable" it'd sold considerably better.

Does it have classic Arcade games like Mortal Combat (1-3), Killer Instinct, NBA Jam, etc.? And can you create a favorite's list, as you go through the games, saving your favorite titles to an easier accessible list of the games you want to play all the time? Thanks for your review!!

This is a great machine for retro games and it plays every game as soon as you hook it up to your tv and turn the power on. My only complaint is the input lag on the button prompts. It takes a good half a second to respond to after you press any button.

Lets see... it's $100, or $130 for the upgraded model, that boasts, 82k games, or 100k games if you pay the extra $30, pre-loaded. Yet I can't find a list of games anywhere, and I can't help but be skeptical because of the vast number of "rights" issues involved in a package like this. We all know Roms are technically illegal if you don't own the game in question.
Your link to the machine works, but ironically, there is not one single review on Amazon. Not one. Not even a fake one saying how great this thing is.
You keep saying in the video we might want to upgrade the controllers... upgrade to what exactly? Maybe you said, but I admit I skimmed your video. It's 10 mins long and includes a bunch of information I was able to find by skimming the purchase page. The information I want to know: What games?.... you don't have on your channel.
This whole thing stinks of a setup where they sell you a bunch of cheap hardware thrown together, and sell it to you until they get a cease and desist, and then offer you zero warranty or product support and then change the name and sell it again on a different page.

This isn't strong enough for N64. It's more difficult than the ps1 to emulate which I would say puts it roughly around psp and dreamcast level hardware requirements which this didn't do well with.

Hahaha what are you Smoking?! The dreamcast
has like 2vtimes the Power of the crappy N64. The N64 original came out in 1996 and had 64bit and 90mhz!! the dreamcast came out in 1998, was 128bit and had 200mhz!! And the Naomi arcade Board was even stronger. N64 loool. I could emulate N64 in 2001 on my PC.

Wouldn’t that added fan make production cost go through the roof? In all seriousness, most times these sort of machines have no cooling device built in. My retro sega didn’t. Even the great n64 didn’t . Just do what I do point a fan at the cooking machine. Switch has a built in fan but it sure beats up quick especially docked . Ok
