Yes, but I think it's also important to mention Higurama (and Judgeman) is working according to the law. If you have the skills to manipulate the facts or lessen the charge, you probably would be fine. Itadori was hit with both charges because:
A. He was seen gambling as a minor and LIED which added perjury to the charge.
B. He confessed to the murder of thousands which, while untrue, a confession is enough of a reason to prosecute Itadori.
While there wasn't much Itadori could've done against the first trial, his second one could've easily been avoided if he had said he didn't kill those people. The laws and its flexibility matter in the courtroom, making Higurama's OP Domain still be incredibly flawed against those with the proper skills to work against it.

I caught up to JJK a few months ago and Higuruma is definetly one of my favourite characters, he instantly caught my eye and I have loved every panel where he was on screen
I feel like people only overrate the speed because domain Hakkari reacted to lightning…key point is “reacted” since he couldn’t even fully dodge it and was saved by regen. I also need to reread the Maki vs Naoya fight, but I think Maki might’ve actually gotten fucked up because she tried to catch Naoya and didn’t expect Projection sorcery to do so much damage at supersonic speed

I kinda disagree with the Megumi claim, since the ownership of Exotic Animal could count as not only “Inheritance” but as well as be listed under the ownership of a Zen’in clan which was established for one of the longest times and publicly accepted as the rightful owners of the Ten Shadows Technique. Not only that, but they’re tamed as well since the method of acquisition Megumi uses to be able to use the Ten Shadows is beating them in combat.

It's actually not strictly confiscation initially, the penalty seems to depend on the crime, possibly based on what the punishments would be in the japanese judicial system.

-The Legal System is primarily based on "Humans" and if Sukana is now a Demon/Cursed Spirit after obtaining his original body most laws no longer apply.
If he pled insanity, he would probably get his cursed energy taken away as a form of 'containment'.

I argue otherwise, Naoya deserves that fist to the face for provoking physical assault. All his subordinates also fall underneath the category of striking first, so the self defense is valid on all of them. Maki’s mother on the other hand is unknown and could be what lands our favorite Zenin in a cell.
