Yes. That's what I was thinking when I saw the name of this vessel. Maybe someone did, although I think they'd be living on here permanently like I think most of us would. 😂
Exactly. It's just a 2 dollar quick pick. I don't waste $200 at a casino every weekend, throwing away money. I play when it's high enough I could quit work, after taxes. Sometimes I'll go a couple months without buying a ticket though.
Nick thanks for full tour of a deluxe Italian dayboat. This Riva is only usable as a dayboat -- can you imagine a couple who own this exquisite 68-footer trying to wash all the salt off after a trip across the Gulf Stream to the Bahamas? The wife with pampered hands handling heavy, mucky dock lines? The crew cabin is uninhabitable, but this yacht really needs crew onboard whenever it leaves the slip. Some wildly impractical bits -- varnished wood running strakes? The engine room is clean but cramped -- accessing outboard sides of the engines is tough, and accessing the gyro and anything further aft requires slithering across machinery on your belly. Lovely but hardly practical.
This isn’t a boat for a full time crew. It’s a day boat that if you are going to bring a crew onboard for a long trip you will probably put them in a guest cabin. Most owners will charter a crew for a week or two and then they move on.
Oh my god!!! This is I think my favourite boat you’ve ever toured. I love it. It literally is perfect. The style, quality and well everything. If that’s a day boat for some - what do they spend their evenings in??? Nick this has to be Smugglers 3. You don’t drink or smoke. Surely if you go behind the sofa for some lost coins, sell Smugglers 2 and keep increasing your subscribers you can afford this???
I couldnt imagine buying this and not living on it for months at a time. 3 bedroom, 3 bath, laundry included... the specs read like a house lol Congrats my friend on the half a million! Well earned. Keep up the good work and we will see you at a million.
Not the kind of boat I'd buy for myself but very pretty and I think perfectly suited for the sort of person who would buy one. Great for being seen along the Riviera.
One question, is it a requirement leaving fingerprints on all shiny parts of that beauty, incl. inox? Or are gloves an option? 😀 Congrats to over half a million!
4.5m for a day boat?? Id live on that beauty 365 a year. Shes spacious, sexy and stunning. I hate watching this channel cos i can picture me living my life in a different but completely unattainable way. If only.
A Bentley Continental is not much car for your money compared to a Ford Galaxy which has more doors, more seats and more space for far less than half as much... 🙂
Riva yachts are some of the most beautiful yachts out there but sometimes I feel like Riva should incorporate a few more contemporary features like fold-down platforms or more modern layouts (at least in some models) which they have avoided so far to maintain the classic - yet also slightly dated - lines. This said, beautiful yacht!
I must say, I have given up on all other boat review videos but yours. I become frustrated with the constant drone footage, fragmented interior shots, which are always broken up by more drone footage. It seems others are more interested in showing their creative camera work but providing no information. Your videos always show me the details while maintaining a logical pattern which you seem to apply to all vessels, large or small. I always know where I am onboard and feel as if I have had a personal tour. You are always respectful at shows and of the owners vessel. Keep up the good work. Well done (please don't buy a drone).
Another great video. Beautiful boat with a lot more room and amenities than it looked like it would have from the outside, but It would be hard to take this over the Bandido 90 you showed for just a little bit more than the cost of this!
I'm not normally a fan of these "day boat" style luxury yachts, but this can sure change my mind. Really nice layout of the lower deck, perfect for when the sun is getting to hot for us more mature folks. Love the bow layout. Great tour, Nick.
Deceptive amount of interior space. By design it looks like a 40' very fast speed boat. Yet it has 3 ½ cabins and full service galley / lounge below with ample staerooms and heads. And a walk around engine room. Oh and let's not forget the generous "garrage". Fine craft, well crafted, featuring crafty design. Thanks for the tour Nick and Riva.
What a beauty. I'm curious, is there a way to close off the area between the hardtop and the side windows in the cockpit in case of rain? Especially since the side windows extend past the hardtop. I didn't any snaps for canvas which would not be an elegant solution for a yacht like this.
Very nice, stylish boat. The lower lounge is nice and private so you're not on show the whole time. I think the bow seating area will be very popular given that it's a sports cruiser and not a flybridge. A 33 knots cruise sounds nice. ETA you made 1/2 a million subscribers, congrats!
@@jonathanreynolds4563 Yes. I'd love Nick to buy a Princess one day with his proceeds. Maybe a V39 or something like that. Surely that would be classic Aquaholic.
Nice Nick very nice this Riva 68 Diable from 2023 almost brand new i would say and what a power there with those big engines over 40 knots a real fly machine 3 cabines below 2 ensuite one share the day heads a lot of stainles steel and mirrors all in all very impresive thanks again great show Nick ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Hi Nick, I noticed the driving position is on the port side. Most of the boats you video are either mid position or starboard side. Is this just a customer preference, or a European option? Just curious. Lovely boat .
Had my bottle of Pure XS Night stolen. Mad butt-hurt about it. Also my D&G Luminous Night and Gentleman. Issey Miyake Ambre Noir, Dior Homme Eau, Mercedes Benz Club Extreme. I hope that $&£% is allergic to all of them.
Incredible Riva! A sport weekender, and also a boat I could live in for 2 weeks with beautiful Italian mastercraft. Riva is both sport and luxury. This Riva boat is totally that! 6 people with luxury rooms, and 2 people more as a week-end crew?
40 knots in a 68' boat with this sort of displacement is straight HAULING ASS. Surprised at how nice/roomy it was under deck, usually these type of boats you get 2 small state rooms, a couch and a countertop with a sink/hotpad. Engine room, well its a cubby under that tender garage where the engines are about 6" from the top and side bulkheads. This boat, tons of room for activaties in the engine room. Plus I like how it looks like a giant "go-fast" boat.
OK, a great boat. But it's also $4.5 million. When I think of "meet the owners" with their 15 year old Princess V53. That's a lot of yacht for the money.
The very first 68 from Riva (2005/2006) sent to the US was an absolute disaster of a design from a structural standpoint. The superstructure had soo much flex that interior wall and ceiling panels were popping out during the sea trial in Miami. The boat took almost a year of custom reinforcement work as well as driveline alignment issues. I left before it ever got finished. I feel real bad for whoever bought it.
This one is 'fully equipped' but I would pass on it. Food prep areas are scattered and I did not see a proper sit-down dining space. I WOULD BE AT A TOTAL LOSS to do a repair on this while at sea.
She a great boat, i do like her. Goes to find moneybox. 😢 Not enough - yet!!!!! Italian style and flare, high gloss lovely textures. Weekend, daytrip or a base for visits like trips around the Mediterranean going from marina to Marina taking trips inland. Yeah need more money to go into money box😢.
Definitely more spacious than I would have figured from the outside. I think I'd still opt to spend a little bit more (you're shelling out this much already, what's a little more) and get the Bandido 90 from a couple days ago, but I could see myself 'settling' for this one instead. 🤣
as always a wonderful tour from the master. and also as usual a very beautiful boat from Riva. but again, as usual, with a sub 90 foot boat my money still goes on a Galeon 64 Fly. thank you Nick. cheers from teXas.
I'm not sure being 'into boating' and messing up your boat are intrinsically linked. I'm quite into boating, and my Riva would look exactly like this after a year of use. 🙂
Very nice, if a little too high in the gloss department in this particular case for my taste. Surely the "cupboard under the stairs" aft is designed to accommodate Daughter's boyfriend?
Very nice yacht. I wish the designers would design dedicated storage spaces for filler cushions and canvas, so it wasn't stuffed into stateroom hanging lockers and filling the crew cabin.
Great video again, what a boat, I’ve watched so many of your videos and have often wondered, if you were in the market and had €4.5 million sat around doing nothing, what boat would you buy, maybe you could do a video on that, I would be intrigued.
