Just use the accessories port provided below the tank on the left side. It is red in colour. And clearly marked)tagged as accessories. I could easily get the male connector from some spare old wiring lying in the mechanic garage. No cutting of wire is required. The accessories port provides 12v only when the engine is running. Ideal for aux lights so it will not drain battery when engine not running
What does the male connector look like as I want to wire in a Chigee AIO CarPlay unit and it needs a yellow wire connecting to the ACC to connect to the ignition ? Thanks
@@magaudion the accy port only provides power when the engine is on. not when key is turned on. will not be suitable for the carplay unit that needs to be on when you turn the key
Sir I have installed HJG fog lamp. Mechanic connected one point to the ignition socket right side below the tank another to the point to a bolt besides head light for earthing. Is that the right connection? Kindly suggest.
Hey.. did he use the proper connector for the ignition socket or simply insert a stripped wire? If the proper socket is not used then it is not recommended and may cause issues. Under the tank there is a point provided in the Himalayan 450 just for this purpose, you can use that. It is on the left side under the tank and red color two pin socket. That would be the proper way to connect, you can easily find the male connector for the socket, that would be the proper way to connect it. For the ground it is ok to connect to the chassis but again the wire should be prepared properly with O or C clamp and property insulated with heat shrink.
@ He simply inserted the stripped wire to the red connector located to the right side of the tank. Yes red connector is there on the left side but that is connected to each other. What to do Sir
@@SarojKumarvlog23 That's not good, the wire need to be secured properly, try to find the proper connector and use it, that two pin connector is very common you can find it on any automotive parts shop or you can even get it from old wiring harness. Last option: amzn.to/4g4fLAV
Dear viewer, in the video I have shown how to get 12 volts from Accessory port provided in Himalayan. People simply insert wire into the 12 volt pin of accessory port which is not good. I have shown how you can get proper male socket for female accessory port provided in Himalayan.
Why to waste Rs. 600 on an OBD extender connector when you could just get the 6-way male connector (090 series) for around Rs. 50 in local markets? It’s a much cheaper option and does the same job!
Hey there.. the purpose of the video is to show the option and not about 600rs cable, it is good for you that you can find the cheap alternative but It's a matter of availability, everywhere the local shop option is not available or it's far and very tough to find. So you got to work with what is available, right 👍

There is an accessory port beneath the tank.
@user-uc1ri5zj3t I didn't found the port, can you share some more details on it? Will check
