I run with a well organized group for SoD and we all were saying how easy ST is post nerf, (we actually liked the challenge pre-nerf). Then we started to do some pugs and filling for other guild groups with alts. It was then we realized we aren't "the average group". Lots of people still struggle in ST. So i get why they put it in post nerf even though we would have preferred pre-nerf for a bit.
Maybe they should keep heroic versions pre-nerf then.
Or have a pre-nerf toggle that gives +1 item loot.
They need to make it pre and post nerf. How icc and such later on lets you toggle on and off the nerf. BOOM

There isn't going to be a mop classic. The fact that MoP remix CAN exist shows you it's basically retail, and you can already level in whatever xpac you want, its unnecessary, and would be too much work compared to how little interest there is compared to how its already possible in retail.

Also I'm not sure where you've gotten this idea of MoP Classic having little interest, if you actually play and interact with the classic community who are playing Cataclysm then you'd know that MoP is the expansion 90% of people are hyped for.
@@trl2151 wrong. they've literally said that when/if MoP comes back it will not be like the remix thing. They want it to stay true to it's original form. This is all from a fairly recent interview. It's weird that people just shoot things down without a simple google search first at least.

No, you will be locked to the boss, doesnt matter if its Normal or HC
If that ID has not killed a boss that your ID has you can not enter the raid
For example lets so you did a BWD and you killed Omni, Magmaw and Maloriak. You can't join an ID that killed Omni, Magmaw, Atramedes and Chimaeron because Maloriak is still alive, if you want to join that ID Maloriak needs to be dead.

Exactly what Andomidius said, i have zero issue with people talking trash about me in the comments, i actually love it lol but I can't stand for people being toxic towards someone who is a guest on the channel and a very nice knowledgeable person at that.
@@ScottejayeI don't blame you. They are nice enough to do the interviews and obviously just want the players to have the most fun possible. They are also just 2 devs out of the entire team, it's not like they can just do whatever they want like a pity system for archeology for example, they gotta run stuff like that by the entire team. Wow community just can't help but be angry no matter what version or state the game is in. I felt bad for those devs after seeing the comments on crix's video.

So... I'm confused. You said "Heroic" does that mean that I can run a 10m and 25m NORMAL on 1 character and get loot from the same boss twice?
No, so if you do a boss on heroic on either 10 or 25 you are locked to that raid lockout period. if you do 3 bosses on normal 10 you could then join another group that has done 3 bosses already on 10 or 25 for the remainder of the raid, he fumbled by saying joining from the 4th boss instead of joining a grp thats killed the 4th boss, i think it was just the way he worded it though.

Things arent changing anymore, we are in cata version right now since pre patch came. Its just that the new zones & raids are locked. So what you are gathering right now, you bring into cata.
It's not worth farming Arch if you're going for the sword, but if you're a healer it's almost a must to go for trinket because it will be BiS all the way to Firelands. The staff is also super good and u most likely wont replace it unless you get herouc weapon cus of the good stats.
Challenge mode dungeons that reward achievement points or a title or something cosmetic would be awesome. Something where they make the dungeons really hard like original Cata. I think that would be great
I recall there being challenge dungeons in MoP that would give you some pretty cool cosmetic items
I would love to have some extra challenge for dungeons, something like Mythic+, dont even need to get rewards. The challenge it self will be nice

It wasn't added until Dragonsoul. So even if it were added it won't be added until the expac is almost over, same with RDF.

Ulduar hard modes absolutely destroyed guilds and ICC finished off a lot of what was left. They won't bring out harder raids.
So true. Cata raids pre nerf would have cata dead in the water. They should make a toggle to let people choose which version they want to play. That would solve all the issues.
The hard modes / heroic are optional. If people can't do them then they should run normal mode.
Nothing to strive for has a much more stifling effect than people realize

Id like to play the harder versions, but knowing there were guilds and pugs that couldn't manage naxx makes me think the player base at large couldn't manage normal cata raids
I joined a pug last week for the sole purpose of helping my friend kill the LK for the first time. On normal, with the 30% buff, and I was mind blown how these pugs are still wiping on putricide and sindy. Literally over half the raid got hit with the ice tomb. I was top DPS with only a 6.1k GS and hadn't even been in ICC for over a month. So yeah, we definitely need easier raid modes for the average pug player.
Then they should just make normal mode post-nerf. Leave a hard heroic mode for people who want a challenge

They are afraid that Cata is too hard for the classic playerbase (And they are right). So the chances of them releasing Firelands pre nerf ? Absolutely zero chance. Rag was actually not a cake walk even by today's standards.

@@van7915 I would take a look at Ironforge Pro and look at the duration of Ulduar and see the raiding population. And you will see why they are doing post nerf cata.

What does prenerf / postnerf mean?
Over time, bosses health/damage/mechanics are made easier, these are called nerfs. Prenerf is before these changes take place, postnerf is after.
not 100% sure but ill try to answer. When cata was released it was too hard so they nerfed the raids to make them easier. The cata classic release will be the "post nerf" version, meaning it will be the later and easier version of the game.
i dont understand how the whole flexible raid lockout stuff is suppose to be used. like in what sort of situation would you be doing boss 1-2 in a certain raid group and then boss 3-4 in another raid group with a different id? or like what situation would you be doing some normal bosses on 10 man and some on 25 man? i feel like any variation of doing that stuff is just over complicating raiding for no benefit. like the simplest and best way to raid is to just do the whole raid in the same group on the same difficulty
It's not overcomplicating anything, just adding huge QoL for everyone. If you do 2 bosses in a pug and for some reason it disbands, you can still finish the raid with other people instead of having your ID fucked for the week

I wish they wouldn’t rush through the only classic version of the game I like this is my favorite xpac. I have 3 toons to gear I don’t want the time to go by fast I want to be able to gear all 3 for pvp and pve please blizzz!!

@@Maxmustermann99150the content was unplayable for the majority of players on launch. This is a large contributing factor to many people quitting during Cata. It wouldn't be any different here and blizzard know this. They are smart enough to make it easier so that casuals have a chance at clearing and that's a good change. Personally I can handle the hard modes, but my friends can't. If my friends quit, so will I , hard modes or not.
Sorry but with how short each phase is pre nerf would be too annoying for most people

I'd of liked raids to be released Pre-nerf at launch so the HC raiders could launch themselves at it. Then on the 30th, put it at post nerf for everyone else. Add an achievement and call it a day. Sort of best of both worlds imo.
On the topic of archeology, the healer trinket is raid bis, but for the weapons i agree, weapon upgrades will exist in raids
I wish will see atleast 300k+ raiders on ironforge statistics at begining of cata, releasing of Pandas remix griefing cata release.
Mop remix is nice but i dont think its somthing that is a problem for cata release. Most classic players dont play retail stuff. It is 90 more days and its perfect to fill voids.
MoP remix will last until mid august ish if i recall. So thats that.
@@gollese Thats enoght to F%#@ launch of cata and take tos of people from Cata, Remix got alot of new/ modified content + tons of rewards for retail accs, while cata prepatch was a mess with blizz beiing totaly silence about game.

I’m all for budding, but I really hope they don’t nerf shit, that is kinda the fun part of classics, I know what’s busted and I get to actually play it. Like in MOP I know KJ cunning is gonna be fun. Cata I know combust looking juicy. I’m all for trying to bring some classes up tho
Crazy that people have to suffer because some can't clear normal raids. Let us have heroic raids atleast somewhat difficult so there are some sense of progression.

I think the issue is the archeology aspect is really bad for the health of the game. Personally know a lot of people who are very very frustrated with this change. Never once met a person who feels bad luck protection is bad for the game. Makes me wonder what feedback the devs work off of. Anyways loved the video as always. Just think its indicative of a bigger issue than "thats the best item"
Sad that we don't get at least a bit of pre-nerf Dungeons and T11.
They could always apply the nerf with the troll dungeon release and make valor and conquest points have a seasonal instead of weekly limit to facilitate people to catch up if they get stuck / can't play during the summer.

I got Zin sword after 10 solves, I got Thaur staff after around 30 solves, I got tyr trinket after around 30 solves. The fossil shield is eluding me and I got like 120+ solves so far. I think everybody has that one item which will take forever.

allthou... i got first 6 epics withing 300 solves.
then it took about a week of digging to find the last one lmao.

Why not just make the pre-nerf heroic dungeons as heroic+? Might take some work but much better than the gamma, beta, trash.
"bad luck protection" is just another word for guaranteed epics. When you got the Headless Horseman mount back in the day it felt great because it was so rare. When they changed it so that you got it several times a week it just felt ok. Making everything so common that everyone has it completely defeats the point of an RPG
Well i saw news that R12 and R13 pvp gear will be for everyone, which is completely bad and i dont want to play it anymoreo tbh :D I dont want to see brand new boosted characters with this transmog. And no more replicas as a reward from RBG rating 1800? Damn.. blizz rly sux..

Good cuase ferals and rets are garbage tier dps. Quite literally barely 10k dps difference between a tank and a feral/ret dps.

ok this is my issue with a lot of creators, no the raids on HC is not easy, not even for organized groups. every single person ive seen say this rocked up with full 359 gear when its tuned for 347. Try and 2 heal 10 man HC in a group rocking only pre-bis and get back to me.

That's what "normal" difficulty is for. Why do people that don't want challenging content insist that EVERYONE has to play the way they want. The two difficulty system was made to make everyone happy, but the people that wanted the easier content still weren't happy, and selfishly said "Why can't I do thaaaaaaat." So the people that do want difficult content get fucked.
You know there was already a normal (easier) mode for each raid?

Heroics are filled with retail babies who pull multiple groups at once and play mthic plus. The pace of Cata. the slower pace, is obviously not what they are comfortable with. Tank rush off right away not even aware that the healer just changed spec and has no mana. They pull multiple groups at once. whiler healers have half mana. DPS does not bother with getting priority mobs that need to be focussed down first. HC is a fuckign joke at the moment and i refuse to heal in them. ITs a shitshow every single dungeon so i will not bother for a while.

Extra juicy info: Blizzard has decided to nerf Fury Warriors with the same misguided approach as before by nerfing mastery. This makes Fury Warriors useless in both PvP and PvE. So, prepare to unsubscribe or switch to Arms, Fury Warriors. It's impossible for Blizzard to fix this simple issue, apparently. Instead, they prefer to ruin the game for all Fury Warriors.
I mean, if you check pre-patch logs. 95% of fury warriors are already playing arms this isn't anything new

MoP is one of the most beloved expacs ever and that's coming from someone who played last year on a MoP private server.
When I was a kid I totally disregarded MoP because I didn't like the theme/setting/premise, but as for the content, pvp and pve, I've only heard good things. I played every expansion besides mop and wod, so I'll definitely be interested to try out MoP.
