this is what i'm trying to do. I just today may have gotten this diagnosis. they want me to do an colonoscopy and endoscopy for damage. but my symptoms suddenly started last august. at least these serious symptoms. I had mild muscle and joint stiffness on and off for years and with some massage and stretching I would be fine. now I suddenly have widespread inflammation from my head to my toes including organs. I think covid activated this disease in me because had changed my diet and was very active sports wise without major issues up until last year at 47 years old.

I find AIP helps, but I always mess it up 5-6 weeks into it because it is very restrictive and I do tend to socialize around food and drink. I might give it another go soon, I have to get organized and do menus, shopping list, etc. beforehand so I don't cheat. Look it up, there are lots of videos and blogs that explain it and give sample menus.

You can reverse your Ankylosing Spondylitis by changing your diet which involve stop eating gluten foods like wheat, rye, barley, stop eating grains like rice, corn, oath, stop eating night shades like pepper, white, red or yellow potatoe (you can eat sweet potatoe), stop eating vegetable oils, peanut, stop eating fried foods. stop eating processed foods, stop eating white sugar, stop eating pasta, bread, dairy (milk), eggs, chicken. You can make smoothies like blending green vegetables like kale, spinach, cucumber, you can also cook vegetables, eat a lot of vegetables, eat coconut, avocado, eat home prepared/made whole foods like sweet potatoes, yams and beans. You can also do exercise like walking, cycling

really enjoyed this presentation! Exactly what science and scientist should be: curious, impartial, factual and always doubting the hypothesis and ready to improve the theory and confirm with practice. Thank you!!!
I've been officially diagnosed with AS in 2018 after more than a decade of a variety of doctors being either clueless or dismissive of the symptoms and complaints (which were, in hindsight, so clear and typical - recurring uveitis and a diligent ophthalmologist finally got me diagnosed)
Through the diet and lifestyle changes I am able to manage it, without relying on drugs but it does feel like a constant uphill battle.
Because of the late diagnosis and time it took me to find the right regiment I've lost a lot of flexibility due to fusions, but I am hopeful that I can continue managing the disease while the science catches up and offers not only side effect-free management but a cure).

Sleep (Increase HGH the opposite of Cortisol which you want to reduce), Aerobic Excercise (Hormetic Stress) , No dairy (I'm just trying to remove any inflamatory inputs), Tumeric (Anti Inflammatory), Ice Baths (Decrease Sympathetic Nervous System effects), Guided Breathing (Wim Hoff)(Decrease Sympathetic Nervous System effects), No Refined Carbs/Sugar (Inflammatory) , 40,000 IUI of D3 (Anti inflammatory), B1, Probiotic (Prevent Gut Disbiosis), Stopping Coffee (Decrease Sympathetic Nervous System), Carnivore Diet (for PMGs), Potassium, Magnesium and Fermented foods (Reduce Gut Disbiosis). L-Glutamine for Gut repair. Going to use Visibiome sachets to add to good bacteria the microbiome (looks like gut has a huge role in this).

@@last-life learning how long my natural sleep cycle is (usually about 90 minutes) and sleeping some multiple of that, and -not- breaking a cycle was hugely helpful. Doing deep meditative things is extremely helpful. Eating ginger when neck pain (stress) happens is hugely helpful for me, calendula too. Topical magnesium chloride hexahydrate spray, aka magnesium oil can be very helpful. Figuring out what foods were triggering was important. Flu virus and flu vaccines can trigger anterior uveitis. So can adenovirus virus infections. So too can bright lights. Especially LED lights. Peony root extract, California poppy extract and yan hu sun extracts have all be extremely helpful for pain. These are powerful herbal pain killers with no apparent side effects. They do not stop the underlying inflammatory process. DMSO has been very helpful when a flare was in progress. Using it requires understanding not to use it at full strength until I knew that it was safe for me was important. Leaky gut is a huge issue in AS. NSAIDs make that vastly worse. The leak is bidirectional. Proteins and DNA move into the blood triggering immune reaction and response. At the same time, blood and other factors (vitamins …) leak out leading to anemia and vitamin deficiencies. B6. Is important.

What I avoid is all seeds, processed seed oils, anything sweet exept occational honey to bump insulin when needed.
I avoid all plant stems, leaves and pretty much all plants. Plants with oxalates, lectisns and other storage proteisns are a concern to me.
Seasonal fruit is possible but the fiber in them kills my carnivore/fat adapted microbiom. One apple costs me 3 days and two diarrheas.
I have consumed cacao and coconut fat, but lately I have taken those away of my diet too due to plant cholesterol. I did not realize how easily plant cholesterol takes the place of animal cholesterol as they share the same reseptor. This does not suit me well.
My willingness to affect my lipid values opened the door to absolute recovery not only on the subject but to all of the underlaying mitochondrional dysfunctions.
No high blood pressure, no more ashtma, no allergies, no arthritis, no neuropathy, no mental disorders, no fatique and no longer any trust to the patented medical drug cures for these life-style choise derived abnormalities.
Note my tot. chol is 10+ and I am happy with it. Check LMHR term. This is my phenotype. Dave Feldman. At 55 six pack one leg squats, 30 chin-ups in 30 seconds. Just few things I never was capable of. Getting younger.
It was not easy to start trusting oneself when
      the medical establishment says differently.
I am not alone in this. My choise, the carnivore approach is not a small one. Neither is veganism. The similarities are the key. We share the same sun, the same genome, the same grounding, the same electricity the same reductionism. We do not mix fats and carbohydrates on the plate EVER: Check the Randle Cylcle aka carbohydrate fatty acid cycle.
To succeed, I had to educate myself about, insulin (resistance) functionality of cholesterol, salt, PUFAs, glucose, fructose, processed foods. Even the history of food substances and lobbying. I am so sorry that we the humans are subject to utter greed and political wars.
I eat a 17% fat content ground beef diet. At least 600g per day. Half of it raw.
If I cook my meat, it is always no more than medium minus. Sometimes I eat pork but the seed feed makes me a bit worried. Same goes with chicken. Beef and other ruminant animals are a safer bet for me. I eat good fatty matured cheese and some dairy.
Yes I eat many eggs a day. I prefer pastured eggs but mostly they are just normal eggs. I can vary my cholesterol as I wish. From 10 to 4 in a week. European units.
I want to live a healthy life. This is my approach and my family does it too. This is biohacking and the hobby is more than 10 years old. Carnivore is 4 years. I see every where mixing of carbs and fats and life-styles that are lightyears apart of mine. What I see is a rise in hyperinsulinemia and avoidance of open air sun exposure, poor adaptation to cold and extreme heat. Lack of strength gaining excersize, alieanating from the roots of natural life. Tap water, chemical substances. I do not use any chemicals.
Addiction plays a big role as does social stress accumulation.
Well there it is. It was not easy. It took ten long years and a total 180 degrees turn. Now I would bet against the 93% of people who have at least one marker of metabolic disorder. By accepting this it has been possible to find motivation in contrasts re life choises.
I believe that moderation is leathal. It should not be, but it is. Connecting many dots, reading tons of studies, listening to months worth of debate and experimenting years and years, has shown this be the most beneficial strategy to fix the probable root cause of illness. Simply by doing the opposite worked for me. I wish you all luck and willpower. Fake food is not the answer.

@@OIOnaut this man is 100% correct, carnivore diet will fix the issue because it's mostly about what you are and not eating
