You can change the colours in the SECOND mode, (not only red), by continous press it will cycle through colours, and also remember where you leave it, i have one and i really like it! Levi
I just got one of these and I love it. I also like that the light remembers your settings. So, if you picked a dim, white light in the first mode or a red light in the second mode, the lamp will remember your choices when you switch it back on.
I got this as a random gift for Christmas last year and it’s perfect for camping, just hang it up in your tent and you have light when you need, plus it’s lightweight and no need to worry about battery life. Great review !
I picked one up about 6 months ago. I’ve had lots of solar lights over the years and many are just ok, but I really like this light. I normally keep it on low and the run time is amazing. I use it mostly in my hammock, just put it in a pocket on the ridge line organizer. One thing I like about it is the solar panel is large enough to do the job of keeping it charged. I will have to see what it’s like for winter in Canada 🇨🇦 when the hours of daylight can be short. Great review 👍
Hi Bryan, If you (or any other Biolite Sunlight owners) see this comment, I am curious as to whether your Sunlight units still work? I purchased mine 8 November 2018 and charged and used it a handful of times. One of those times I pulled it out and found it was no longer working and reported it to Biolite 3 July 2020. So my unit lasted somewhere less than 1 year 8 months. Since it was past the 1 year warranty the best they would do was offer a bit of a discount on a new unit. I was unwilling to invest more money in something that had proven to be unreliable as a piece of emergency kit. I had thought with the Sunlight I would always have a source of light for any power outages, etc., but this was obviously not the case. So I just have it sitting here in its packaging, looking new, but worthless.
Survival On Purpose I’m pretty sure I did have a mood ring. I remember playing with one in school. I probably had a pet rock too, but I don’t remember for sure. I remember the store that sold them having about a 4’x6’ table stacked a couple feet tall with pet rocks in their little boxes. Pet rocks, I can’t believe someone made a fortune on that idea.
It is a nice piece of kit - it’s fifty hour low power mode run time is great for local base camp light - when it’s country dark - even a little light is enough :-)
I like it :-) the little hook and red light option would be good for cycling at night, you could fix it to a back pack quite easily by the looks, good video Brian have a great weekend.
I have two portable solar panels, and they work great. Getting a solar light and a solar radio, is definitely on my list. I can't remember if you did a video on a hand crank solar radio. Peace to you and your family. 👍
wow have not seen you in a while how was you summer.. any plans on any new videos..i see that old stump finally rotted two nothing..bet it burned good..cool targets..
Looks great for catfishing. I would say at the price of batteries, propane, and rechargeable lights, and here where I live, "a shortage in lantern mantles," thats going to be a popular item. ATB.🌲.
Nice light! Hey Brian..those button down shirts you wear..where do you get them from? Been looking for a decent cover shirt for ccw and withers the weather going cooler soon down here in Ga. I need a few of them..
They are Tru-Spec plaid camp shirts. I get mine here: Army Navy Discount Center 1214 Hayes Industrial Dr, Marietta, GA 30062 atlantatacticalgear.com/ The place is sort of low profile. It is tucked into an industrial park. I've been shopping there for years. A guy named Lou runs the place and he is a really good dude. If you are anywhere in the Atlanta area it is worth the trip. Be sure and tell Lou I said hello.

I bought this so I can read at night. No more replacing batteries in the flashlight!

In the late sixties when I was a little kid, I had a night light like that, but it was about 12” x 12”. Mood lighting. I loved that thing.
