A shift supervisor contemplates "What Could Happen" involving real life, mine site work situations. As he assigns work duties, he mentally reviews recent fatalities that have occurred in the mining industry. The supervisor returns to each work site to review safety procedures with employees.
Definitely something I think about while at work. Good stuff.
This video well demonstrates the reason for Safe Work Method Statements, so that these things are examined BEFORE doing the job. The biggest problem though isn't that we make mistakes, but the attitudes of people on the site regarding the "stupidity" of doing this paperwork. Finding the problem person/people is an issue, as they may use passive aggressive techniques, and hide under the radar, and sometimes legalities make a technical loophole which some governments aren't willing to close, and other businesses are willing to exploit. It's a sad situation, but one that demonstrates we need to select teams not only on skills, but on attitudes. Also, choosing who we work for.

Is it normal for a man to be called Sandra in the US? just curious.
I don't think so lol
Thanks for clearing that up, although I would not be surprised, seeing as John Wayne's real name was Marrion, and late British wrestler, Big Daddy, was named Shirley Crabtree, not that anyone would have been brave enough to make fun of it to his face mind you lol
Not at all lol
I think he said "Sander."
I know many Sandra's who are strong, sturdy men
