- Dr. Dre, born Andre Romelle Young on February 18, 1965, is one of the most influential figures in the history of hip-hop. He first gained prominence as a founding member of the pioneering group N.W.A., whose raw and unapologetic lyrics gave voice to the struggles of urban life. After N.W.A.'s breakup, Dre established himself as a solo artist with his iconic album The Chronic, solidifying his reputation as a musical genius. Dre's influence extended beyond his own music. As a producer, he was responsible for launching the careers of some of the biggest names in rap, including Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and 50 Cent. His production style, characterized by its smooth beats and innovative sampling, became a defining sound of West Coast hip-hop. But many didn’t know he went trough a major health scare and he finally opened up.
