- As regular Closet Confessions viewers will know, nothing brings out my organisational side better than packing for a trip. This time I’m jetting off to sunny LA, and although I’m usually a hand-luggage hero, this time I’m taking a checked bag. With so much extra space to play with, it’s tempting to overpack, so I’ve curated my perfect LA rail to try and keep my case from overflowing. But after a few hours of playing in my wardrobe, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to resist a few extras…

In Los Angeles in June, it can be cloudy and cool in the AM and evening. Nice to have layers to shed as the day goes on.

We have “Grey May” and “June Gloom” in LA, meaning overcast skies and wind, especially near the coastline, so pack something for that. A light jacket is enough.

It was a perfect video! Loved that Lyla helped. The suit was better with the cropped pants. The wide leg pants would go with other things so I would keep both! The new sequined skirt was so beautiful I can’t wait for you to style it up! I hope you have fun!

I love that silver pink Me and Em skirt and that blue one that's like an exaggerated tulip skirt. You have a good system with those packing cubes...You are very thorough in all you do.
Living here, I think you'll find it's hotter in LA than you imagine, but I'm like you and always think "just in case." The white suit with the fringed top underneath was I think your best outfit. It suits LA without giving up your personal brand. Safe travels and have loads of fun!

Just came back from a similar trip - work & family mixed in with hot & humid weather - but didn't take any jackets with me lol! Afraid I have to agree with Lyla haha - a pashmina/ lightweight cardigan maybe (or the sweater vests you showed), but not a coat!
Hope you'll show us some of these looks after the trip on UA-cam instead - maybe a mini review of what worked/ what you regretted bringing with you on holiday since you didn't end up wearing it, etc.

I great option for LA is a denim jacket or denim shirt as a jacket ..white or light blue .. it can be chilly as the ocean breeze is cooler than you think ..agreed you should be yourself.. but I have found when I travel I start seeing what the women are wearing and thinking they look so cool .. I end up buying a few new things 😎

Have to be honest I absolutely hate packing , I literally bring everything ' just in case ' and end up not wearing half the clothes I bring, so watching you and how you think out clothes and what you can mix up in advance is something I am going to learn from your videos and put into practise on my next travels..thank you

I actually would bring a coat! I am from Ca and lived in LA for two years and nights are cold! It’s a dessert and the temp will drop at night. So not a winter coat, but something is needed for being out in the evenings. LA is so lucky to have y’all visiting!

Wow amazing all that stuff for one trip. To save money i am sharing a suitcase with my partner for ten days in Portugal. 6 tops, 3 shorts, 1 skirt, 1 cardie, a jumper, a swimsuit 1 jeans, tiny makeup bag, shared toiletries and 2 magazines is all i can take. It will be fine and i can wash some stuff whilst away. Also for the sun sun tan lotion, a hat, a water bottle, a fabric bag and chargers X
Oddly, we are having extended days without sun in S CA, so it has not been lightweight dress weather. I haven’t had short sleeves out yet.

🤔In the Valley, it's been running from 50°F/10°C to 79°F/26°C. Earlier in the month, we had a patch of 90°F/32°C days😰. We typically run hotter😎 than cities South of the Santa Monica Mtns.
Hollywood, DTLA, & the "West" side gets more 🌊Coastal inversion year round. It can go from easy breezy to quite chilly in short order while we roast🥵 in our own desert 🏜 hot pocket between 🌄 mtn ranges. So, if it's been 🆒️ here, it must be quite brisk over there.

Greetings from Los Angeles the weather is bi polar. It's been about 65 to 70 degrees hopefully you will bring us some sun avoid Venice it's full of bums try manahattan beach pier for the unique shops food and the aquarium. Venice is terrible now

Hey Trinny, you're hair looks fantastc!❤. I'm naturally curly but always wear my hair straight as I feel it takes longer to make it look presentable curly- I can't just let it "dry naturally" as people suggest. Have you found this too? Xx
