Final Scene in 24, Jack goes on the run - 24 Season 8 -
Вставка
- Опубліковано 4 жов 2024
- This was a pretty good final scene for 24, my only gripe with it is we get to see the "unprofessional dude" in the final few seconds of the show. Jack and Chloe pull the emotions out of us here.

This scene is emotional in many different ways...Taylor finally realizing her mistakes and getting speechless, Jack finally revealing to Chloe how much he valued their friendship...this show was absolutely fantastic.
In 24, Jack is 'The Dark Knight'. He does what's required or what he's asked to do, and then everyone wants to have a problem with it.
I always thought the saddest moment of this scene is when Jack looks at the drone and says 'thank you'. He's saying it to Chloe obviously, but he always knew the drone was there. That's why he's able to disappear so easily. Being a dark knight is not fun.
@@827Drew yup, it's like Jack himself says, he is who the politians ask for help to do the dirty work for them while they watch from the hills, while the consequences (like having his family and friends targeted, suffer, or die because he had any attachment to them) are strongest on the dirty work doers and not the politians on the hills.
For as long as Jack kept doing what he knew how to do, people around him would suffer. Christopher Henderson replied, on the eminence of his death, "that's how it works" when Jack told him he was accountable for his friends deaths on Season 5, and he was basically right.
Moi j'ai même pleurer
Damn - I miss 24, one of best shows ever!
M
The best show ever!!!!!!!
I miss it too, along with the Stargate series!
24 was an awesome show! I enjoy rewatching the series every few years. Even though I’m a hardcore Republican, I still think David Palmer was the best president in the series!
Same ☹️
When you first came to ctu I never thought it was going to be that will cover my back all this years thank you. I cried
Abba Jay Yes because it took me back to the beginning of season 3 when Chloe was brand new and nobody took her seriously
A decade to the month.
So true. When we first met chloe I think we all though she was just another one season ctu analyst.
I believe those were real tears from the actress, mary lynn rajskub. The end of an era.
When Jack looks at the drone and says 'Thank you' to Chloe. Goddamn. Manly tears.
Unsung hero of 24: the music.
I think too many people overlook Sean Callery's score as one of the most important aspects of 24. Despite the fantastic performances and direction, the music really elevated the emotional level of this scene.
Agreed. I've got all the official soundtracks and the unofficial fan rips and listen to them quite regularly. Callery is a legend.
Akash Pai I agree
This music in the last scene here may be my favorite. I have a lot of the soundtracks as well.
Yes the music is very powerful and the soul of the show
Brilliant scoring.
President Taylor was such an underrated character. An example of how people with the best intentions can go wrong chasing those intentions. Amazing acting.
Prob second best behind palmer, mabye not in terms of ability but definitely character.
“Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country”. It’s always bittersweet that jack never gets a happy ending, but that’s what makes him an admirable character. Sometimes, most people will never fully grasp the extent of someones sacrifice and heroism
Jack is a most tragic hero in the movies history.
It’s the perfect ending that he is running away. He’ll never be able to find peace or settle, he will always be running.
@@busydad4858 But the revival gave him a less glorious finale.
The reverse clock countdown was genius
This ending scene was so emotional, makes me cry every time.
LKR0722 oh yes every time.
Yes but also back in season 5 at the start

Taylor was definitely one of my favorite characters (among others). She was deeply flawed, deeply human. One of the things that made this show so great was how subtle and nuanced the characters were. To the point where you genuinely feel sorry for them and the impossible decision they’re forced to make. It will be a long time before another show as good as 24 comes along.
The way her chief of staff just lowered his head after she looked over at him when she hung up the phone says it all he knew they were done
One of the most tragic characters in the series: she wanted to change things for the better and in the end she was left without a family and as someone who will be remembered as a corrupt president
Best tv show on TV .20 years from now still gonna be da best ever
The REALLY NEED TO BRING THIS BACK FOR REAL PLEASE GOD

One of the greatest scene in 24 ! (and a little bit sad 😔)

Jack is the BEST DAMN AGENT EVER!!
DAMN IT!!😢😢
This show improved with each year. I could usually follow what was happening with it. However there were at least 2 years of it where I was unable to. You thought you knew who was the bad guy then you figured out you were wrong. Any producers who are watching this: congratulations on a job well done.
24 will always be one of my favourite shows
Best ending in tv history!!!
you need to watch more TV. Season 8 was average apart from the last third. My favourite seasons ranked

@@lotus8237 2 would be equal to the 5. We had Islamic terrorists, conspiracy, we had Jack, Tony, Michelle and excellent President Palmer. We had one of greatest and saddest moment in 24 - George Mason. Only Kim's boring storyline spoiled all.
Just watched it last night and got a massive lump in my throught 😭
Love 24 great series and great cast
Its Time for 24 To return .
You think so?
@@FrancisMoyo-rb1kt You don’t like 24 ?
I'm not saying I don't like 24. It's just that It's been 7 years since the last 24 season.
We need a video game for 24
@@Guile608 There is already an official PS 2 game
This episode wasn't about Jack saving the day but about Alison doing the right thing.
Or both?
@@OneWeirdDude definitely both! not even just that, it’s about friendship and loyalty.
When I saw this - i was a little peeved that it didn’t end with a silent countdown. My Ex had said “maybe it’s because it’s not over.”
Sure enough - we got “Live another day”
Which concluded with the silent countdown for Jack.
I'm glad they did LAD. It was a better season, even if it is shorter, than this Season 8
@@ADifferentVibebut Jack arrested in lad 😢
One of those epic shows that will stand the test of time--Just brilliant!
Music gets me every time.
Season 5 had the most emotional deaths
This man has sacrificed sooo much of his life and much more and all they say is tb is country owes you, owes you, sorry sorry sorry for a long time you get either use to it or you get tired of it I believe he's a bit of both but he's a warrior and a American he's not a terrorist He's a good man and the man I would want to be.

I ended the whole series of 24 on November 18, 2020. I will miss it so bad.
did you watch live another day?
@@XenikGames yeah
I wish it could comeback for day 10
The only scene in the whole of 24 that chokes me up every single time. Just happened again 😢
There are some more: Teri's death, Mason's sacrifice, Jack and Palmer farewell, Buchanan's sacrifice, Tony's tragedy in Season 5 and 7, and of course this one. And the scene of Jack and Chloe farewell in finale of Season 9.
Suren Baghdasaryan // Ryan Chapelle and Curtis Manning too :(
Vivkpvgpnwvnphmbnhj
The most emotional part in all 24 seasons.A very entertaining movie to watch.
Loved when Jack Bauer does a Tyson-Holyfield on Jason Pillar!
This show was absolutely wonderful.. See this acting is 100% on point. Real tears, real emotions, the music, everything... I feel like TV shows these days just phone it in.
Le moments le plus émouvant de toute la série ❤❤❤
Absolutely amazing scene!! 24 will always be one of my favorite shows
Taylor could've at least issued Jack the pardon before she resigned and then the country could've maybe protected him from the Russians and he wouldn't have had to flee. In London, he wasn't safe and not only were Russians able to attack him at one point, but they were also able to take Chloe hostage to force him to agree to an exchange too. Maybe America would've been no different, but now we'll never know though.
GK almost assassinated the president of Russia. Giving him immunity would put the US at risk in a war with Russia
Jack and Chloes are my favorite actors.
I hated this season because Jack lost everything, mostly Renee. I wish it ended with him and Renee going to Kim and her family and all being together.
Turn on the show called The last ship season 4 you will see Renee again
Bauer deserves an Ironman / Green Arrow kind of ending.
One thing for sure is
Through out the series it's shown that bad things happened to everyone who came across Jack, except Chloe.
Irony is bad things happened to Chloe only after jack left her alone.
Jack had a curse: everyone around him died.
I lost my signal when the music and emotional over these friendship were attacking my heart.
If every president had listened to jack, the events would have occurred in 12hours and not 24hrs real time
She wanted to bring peace and she was probably also motivated by the pain that her actions in the seventh season led to the dissolution of her own family
Love this channel.. massive respect for this. Always excited which scene your going to post next!
Jackuary saved the month, Good job, man.
I am also speechless …don’t know what say ….
This is the most emotional part in all 24 parts and it was the only part where Jack said THANK U
Hey mate! Thanks for uploading new vids again! Best regards, :)
João Arthur Netto
It would have made the most sense for Jack to hide in Kamistan.
Tearful moment!!! So miss 24!!!!!
Amazing scene to end an amazing series. My only gripe is that should have been a silent clock.
Fantastic
Season one of Designated Survivor is great, but I have to admit, it can never match 24. Nothing can.
I'm crying
This was the most touching episode in 24....every time I watch it, my emotions get disturbed. The music, Chloe's response and the greatest president in the series, ALLISON , admitting her mistakes and betrayals....then Bauer remains focused on finishing his job if he's left alive...
What do you mean David Palmer was the greatest president in the series you moron
Thanks for uploading! :)
Mn.city
Keep up the good work.
someone should please tell me how i can watch the full 24 hours season 9.
The way Tim look at Taylor , he can’t believe what she did …
Jack Bauer is not a Hero...
Jack Bauer is THE HERO
Beautiful💖
Who knew that a few years later, he will be the president himself niceeeee
Couldn't she just pardoned Jack as one of her final acts as president before she resigned?
probably not if she was also guilty of crimes it wouldn't stand....
@@BlacKnightRising exactly...plus Russian agents would have still came after him. So even if US officials would not have chased him, Russians surely would have.
And you have seen in real life that their agents WILL go after those who have jumped the ship/betrayed Putin, on 2 different ocations they were fully willing to show it to the world while also making sure that the intended targets would suffer immensely...first using polonium to murder Alexand Litvinenko in UK back in 2006 and ofc few years back they used nerve gas on Skripals in UK.
In both cases Russians could have used some more silent and less visible methods to kill/harm these people, but its clear they wanted to use the most visible options to show to western powers and those agents who would ever consider jumping ship from Russia that they WILL go after them no matter where they are
@@Balnazzardi yea the FSB doesn't take to kindly to traitors...leave it to the russians to use nuclear materials to kill someone, the worst kind of death to
Show me a more emotional scene after you've watched the whole of 24
end of season 1.
And George Mason death too. With the farewell of Jack and Chloe in Season 9. 5 great scenes.
honestly the phone call between jack and kim in season 2 when he is flying the plane with the bomb is a tearjerker.
When audrey says why she broke it off with cummings.
Jack: Why did you break it off?
Audrey: Because he wasnt you, jack.
Goat show
While I enjoyed Live Another Day, 24 should have ended here. Great ending and provided sufficient closure. LAD has undone all of that. We're left with just the novels to tie loose ends.
I cared about what ends up happening to Suvarov.
Mantis: Mega Outlaw Star Fan It definitely should not have ended here. They should've just pushed the show to a 10th season and have the last season end with Jack finally finding peace.
That's bullshit. Live Another Day was a true symbolic end to Jack's journey. This show was always about sacrifice and death, and LAD's finale is exactly about that. Jack always wanted his death to mean something, but he always thought he's gonna die horribly in some ditch with barely anyone remembering him. Instead, his life meant something, him trading himself for Chloe finally made him feel at peace. This is why he smiles in the end, he got the best death he could ever ask for. Not this "oh he's gonna run for his entire life" bs.
@@phillipdrake5566 Better if the Season 10 Finale would be the reverse of Season 1 Finale: Jack saves the life of his teenager granddaughter Teri while he couldn't save the life of his wife Teri. Chloe and freed from solitary prison and now black-op mercenary Tony unite to free Jack from Russian Gulag, bringing him back to LA or wherever. Or the action can take place in Russia too, Jack can save Russia from same threat as he did in season 2-9 for LA, US and UK, then Suvarov will pardon him and let him go. Tony and Chloe help him. Tony and Jack could also die in epic way to let the show to rest in peace.
@@phillipdrake5566 He doesn't die, he gets sent to a Russian prison under the orders of Yuri Suvarov. Read 24: Deadline it explains the suvarov situation
This season would’ve been longer than 24 episodes if Taylor didn’t give up that easily
Easily? Dalia Hassan completely turned on Taylor when she found out the truth. Ethan Kanin also gave up on her. Her administration and her legacy are shattered. Jack almost started a war with Russia. Say what you will about Taylor, but she went as far as Jack Bauer to try to achieve her own objectives. But in the end she realized it wasn't worth it.
@@davidbowling5361 exactly Taylor only backed out in the last possible moment just when she was about to sign the treaty so heck no she didnt gave up easily...
Peace in the Middle East is not possible by signatures but by the changes of the people minds. So, this idea was flawed from the beginning. But we needed the show. And they succeeded to present it us.
David Bowling okay okay, you’re right. It’s just been so long since I watched the last season of 24

@@vokasimid5330 That's Mason's last conversation with Jack. I was requesting his last conversation with Michelle. Thank you, though.
The most emotional moment in the show. Jack finally admitting to Chloe how much he needs her but what makes this so heartbreaking is that he's now personally betrayed her loyalty and she doesn't know whether to believe in his sincerity any more.
This scene is like a Visual version of "He loves her and she loves him but it's not that simple" and it's great. He admits how much he really appreciates her friendship but he still can't say what's truly in his heart and it kills him.
Chloe was the real reason why Jack came to London. He's become so emotionally depended on her that he doesn't know how or doesn't even want to stop the drone attacks without her. She's the only thing that he cares about at this point. He knows his family is better off without him but he can't function without Chloe. If the Russians hadn't gotten to Chloe, Jack was willing to disappear with her.
Im cry
24 will be back with Jack Bauer escaping from a Russian Prison.
With Tony Almeida, Chloe and few others working together and getting Jack out of prison.
But one thing if they make another season of this, I'm afraid that they might kill one of the main character.
@@raghukiran5865 Jack and Tony would die saving Kim or Teri (granddaughter), but this time in reverse of Season 1 Jack will save Teri. Worthy finale!
@@surenbaghdasaryan9059 I think chole will die, because we saw tony in 24 legacy, and they keep jack for another season or two. So obvious choice is chole to save Jack....
Chloe was the most honest agent to Jack amongst all the CTU agents.
What about Chase?
This is up there with Friends and Breaking Bad As the greatest television finale of all time
Inception Report, Comparing 24 to Friends is the biggest insult I've ever heard in my life! How dare you 👿
John Gormley - 24 Mega Fan all I’m saying is that their two amazing shows with the bets finales on TV. They don’t have much in common besides that
Inception Report, Replace Friends with Seinfeld and I'll accept your point.
John Gormley - 24 Mega Fan never seen Seinfeld sorry, keep in mind I did say Breaking Bad too
Inception Report, Breaking Bad is worthy of watching. Just got triggered when I heard that monstrosity of a series mentioned.
Live Another Day is an excellent mini-series but I kinda wish this was the ending for Jack. It was kinda tragic but it's at least bittersweet that he'll get to live the rest of his life in freedom, only looking over his shoulder forever. LAD's is just too damn depressing. Not poorly-executed or anything like that but I feel like Jack deserved at least this.
For me this is real ending, not live another Day one.

Jack Bauer is my hero, I dont need batman, superman, aquaman, hulk, etc; he did so much good compared to the bad things he's done just as a result there was not justice for him. They took Rene away from him, he can not live a normal life with Kim, he lost hiw wife....this is a so high price he had to pay to defend his principles, his love ones and his country.
Could you upload the scene where Jack Bauer chases the black SUV which he thought had Omar Hassan only for it to crash from the roof of a parking structure? Much appreciated :D
is there even any other series in the same league with 24?
Who's the unprofessional dude?
best show super chloe and jack
An ending that says every hero deserves a medal, but not all of them gets it.
Good Bye Jack Bauer.👋😔
Has there ever been a hero character that has been burned and lost so many loved ones? Jack Bauer always gets the job done right, yet gets screwed over, tortured, nearly killed, held prisoner by China and Russia. On and on. I am glad he finally breaks totally bad in the final few episodes of Season 8. I love it when Charles Logan sees Jack approaching in the tunnel and craps his drawers. "That's Jack Bauer". It wasn't until Season 9 that Jack really got to show Chloe how much he appreciated her. I half expect that Jack escaped from the Russians and is living an easy life somewhere.
The one dislike is Taylor's secret service agent in the room with her that bows his head when she looks at him
This final scene was like Jordan hitting that final shot to seal the deal in Game 6 of the ‘98 Finals... Just wish the series would’ve ended right there... No 24: Live Another Day or 24: Legacy... Those seasons, no disrespect, were money grabs... this was just pure bittersweet poetry. Wish this world had a real life Jack Bauer to save us now!
After this ending... Live Another Day was completely unnecessary. This is how Jack's story was supposed to end.
Jack Bauer forever!
All that Jack did for this stupid evil country, you’d think they would have the gratitude and respect. Makes me sick to watch this and see how far the country has fallen down the toilet. It’s depressing. Come back Jack and save us!!!
Well the u.s has always been a corporation . In an alternate universe the u.s would be a country that is fair and it would be a country with history with no genocide and it wouldn't be an empire. And melanated people would be citizens.

Subjected to genocide by us, Homo Sapiens ) to the times of Emppire. Yes, jack and Palmer paid their price for what they did in Serbia, sanctioning and implementing the Nightfall Operation when Drazen family was killed and Drazen decided to seek vengence. But were Jack and David the villains? No way, just everyone does what he or she sees right (like President Taylor was thinking that the peace treaty is so important, though no peace on paper never existed long, she was too naive). We just never know when one thing is for good but next moment could become for evil.
