- This video/audio opens with " and Venus was her name", the title of the book about Mariska Veres (and Shocking Blue) which was issued just now, on the 29 of September 2022, 2 days before Mariska would have reached the age of 75. The book is in Dutch. I don't know if it will be translated into Englisch. Leo Oldenburger wrote it. The song you hear is Bye Bye to Romance, a Mariska solo single from august 1978. the song is written by Daniel Sahuleka and produced by Rudy Bennet.
Shocking Blue and Mariska Veres songs will live forever! 🙂

3 solo singles were released and remastered last month.
She recorded in 1975 a few Abba songs : king Kong song, what about livingstone, gonna sing you my love song.. Producer was Jacques Zwart. Also a song called "night birds". The album was never released.
