I like Shiv's character design. He's so cool he doesn't even need both arms to fight as he runs around with his bomber jacket over his shoulder; in fact, his right arm has been amputated and replaced with a wooden one.
Also as I'm struggling with a few other heroes besides shiv ATM, do you think I should try learning other assassins incase he gets nerfed into the ground?
I think this patch really changed Shiv into a more snowballing character that needs to get ahead early to be useful late game. Vindicta could be a great assassin to turn to that's slightly more consistent.
Berry nice vid as always, feels weird that we won't need to find these in the Forum and Discord anymore lol Btw, Cartoonz, a 4 million subs variety youtuber, used your Bebop build in his deadlock video!
Amazing guide! Really appreciate the quality of the cheat sheet, with the separation of situational picks and easy to digest skill guide, it helps a lot for players more unfamiliar with the MOBA aspects.
I think the best way to build shiv is to ignore the knives and level the other three abilities first. The knives are good for a slow but the bleed is weak and should not be built around. The combo of slice to ult or ult to slice is very powerful burst. If you have at least 2/3 of a rage bar you can hit them with a slice and the rage bar will get full and the slice will echo. Ult in, double slice and even in the early game you can drop 500+ damage with that combo. That is as much starting health of many of the other characters and even the tankiest is at 700 starting health. Better to focus on burst IMO.
You know, to me, Shive looks a LOT like if Scout from TF2 grew up some more and brought with him some skills he learned from father Spy with his own little twist to them. Really dig the character.
I absolutely love the quality of your videos. Im trying to learn some editing myself. Could you tell me how you recorded the shot at 1:49? How did you get the camera there, is that the spectator mode?
Thanks for the kind words! It's not in Spectator, but you can use a command to lock the camera in place, while still being able to control the hero. The command is cl_lock_camera true and to undo it, you type cl_lock_camera false! Hope this helps!
It's best to activate it when your health is between 25-50% and you've just taken damage to get it there. It heals for a portion of the damage taken so being aggressive in fights to build that up is beneficial.
😢, I had section originally in where I talked about it, and ended up cutting it out unintentionally when I was removing the dead air between takes. I apologize!
Bloodletting is a strange ability to get used to, it works best against heroes with strong burst potential as you regain the most health that way, but you can't just wait in fights to use it either or you'll die. It's a fine balancing act, but generally you dive into teamfights and try to pull when. When you get to 50% health, that's a safe place to activate it most of the time.

To each their own, my goal with this is to get a player off the ground when they want to learn/start playing Shiv, but to also keep it consumable. Personally, I believe the Build, Skill guide, Tips & Tricks, Combo's, Playstyle description, teamfighting positioning, matchups, and counters add more than just a description of the abilities, but I'd love to hear why you don't think so, so I can be better about my future guides.
Dont get baited by this video. Though most of it's works, Shiv is most effective as tank/disrupter. He takes 30% of dmg overtime, one of the best skills in the game
Wow such high quality for such a small channel. Thanks for the video !
No, Thank you for watching! 🤍
It reads like an ign video

It’s such a great character design and aesthetic! Easily one of my favorites so far in Deadlock!
best deadlock video I've found so far! Super glad I found your content!

It does feel weird to be talking about the game publicly!

Glad it helped! Let me know if you have any questions about him!
Thank you so much dude!
That was a really good break down.

I'll have to try this out and see how it goes! Thanks!

@@JellyKnees Thank you so much!
great video!! Seven next!
On it! 😉
Nice guide, what is the name of this build so I can search it in the game?
It's called "Have Fun Sticking People" or the build code is 6651
I still don't understand how to use bloodletting. What happens when I activate it, when do I activate it?

You didn't mention anything about his right click and it's self knock back!

Im still not sure when and how to use bloodletting.

nice nice
Thank you!
nice
Thanks!
I'm still confused about blood letting? I feel when I use it in a fight I end up dying faster?

How do I know what items to keep or sell?
Generally it's better to sell lower tier items first, then non-component items second!
it took me until today to realize his 1 arm is wooden.
😂
i have this fucking thing around enemys indicating i can ult them. u dont seem to have that did u do anything for that?
When I turn the HUD off, those go away. I wish it only showed when enemies were at the execute threshold honestly.
this doesn't seem like a guide or a deep dive but an explanation of the abilities

clueless
I'd love to understand more what you mean by this?
Bruh your scrip is so bad. Stop using AI so extensively, I felt soo uninterested in the guide when you regurgitated all computer generated bs
