It was actually pretty rude. I get that it was way way over priced, but when a vendor goes down that much and you still say let me think about it, at that point as a vendor I’d say keep moving.
@@Red_Panduh yeah Melvor called it out. Not sure if that was just editing but I’m pretty sure he was directly referencing it. I love the reference back to when they went to New Braunfels in Season One (I think?) and was complaining about the roads. Glad they finally paved them. Lol
I've watched many of your episodes of Toy Chasers, and Game Chasers, and really enjoy them. I battle with depression, and just seeing your enthusiasm for the great games and toys of the 80s... I wish I had it, and I would say hang onto it for dear life, because there is nothing more important. Keep up the great work!
I'm like he will be pissed like when Chris bought Sega CD from under Jay but billy failed to strike him down and embrace the glorious dark side of messing with our friends.
@@ratboy3679 hahaha yes I remember that too. Same with billy when he mind fucked Eric into giving up that NES cart, I think it was might final fight up in Canada.

Yeah, the toys have tripled in price now its insane. Love the production on this episode BTW, (the cutaways to trivia, commercial and scans of the individual toys) keep it up!!!
@5:07 Lol. I made my own ring too. I wonder how many kids did that back in the day. I cut straws into pieces to make the turnbuckles. 30* years later I find myself making another ring because my great nephew is playing with my muscle figures again.
I feel like that guy going from 45 to 15 threw jay so much he had an internal crisis. Like he finally got what he wanted right away no negotiation needed and didn’t know how to process it 😂
I remember flipping through the old Sears Wish Book and making sure my grandma had a pen and paper ready as I told her all the Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers, and video games I wanted for Christmas.
My buddy hung that thunder cats sword in his moms living room and when she got home she looked at it and literally cried she was that upset but weirdly enough it’s still hanging there today like 8-10 years later
im super happy to see eric with yall again. the chemistry is unmatched. love you duders. ok chief is also such a stand up dude, i feel like he would be my best friend even if ive never met him.
4:03 Theres that Muscle Men box, the long rectangle one, thats what I remember seeing them in. I was just gonna look that up cuz I havent seen them sold in that in a long time and was starting to think it was a fever dream of sorts.
OMG!! I NEVER GOT THE NOTIFICATION!!!!! So happy right now for a new video!!! M.U.S.C.L.E toys were the best!! Monster in my pocket were cool too. Pretty much a 90's version of M.U.S.C.L.E... I missed you guys!!!
I'm very glad to see that - compared to the first episodes of Toy Chasers - Melvor's good manners have had an influence on the other two guys. The show is now more enjoyable and equilibrated.
And it featured my favorite toy line ever!! Battle Beasts!!I have the entire collection plus doubles. Took me 30+ years to get them all with rubs and weapons.
I've been marathoning all the toy chasers the past couple days and this drops. Great surprise 😁 Also watched Greg based Game Chasers in the same marathoning! so cool seeing him too!
That Sears Christmas catalog is absolutely amazing hard to beat that for a NOSTALGIA fest!!! My grandma use to give me one to pick out what I wanted si I'd circle them of course. Man what I'd pay for one of the original one's I had circled as a kid$$$!!!
Would love to see you guys come to the Toyman Toy Show is St. Louis. They hold it every other month and it’s a massive show with lots of tables. Next one is next Sunday July 11th. Happy hunting!
The Alien toys were prob the last toys I bought as a kid. I wish I still had them. I know I had the Gorilla Alien, and Ajax, the Alien in disguise guy. Bought them at good ol' Service Merchandise, which I would end up working at that very store in the electronics dept when I was in high school.
Around 1986 when I was in school here in Honolulu I was told that some student named Traci? was in Karate Kid part 2. Apparently she was the girl Daniel saved in the storm. The movie was shot here around Kaneohe. Pat Morita spent some time in Honolulu I think since I'd see him doing some Shriners commercials here. He moved to Las Vegas in 2005 & died shortly afterwards.
Thank you, I needed this. I keep being stressed by the COVID-situation (as the rest of us probably), and I didn't get the job I was hoping for. Thank you, I NEEDED this!
I didn’t grow up when the Muscle toys were around in the 80’s, but I love the anime and manga they’re based on (Kinnikuman). Series got a sequel in the early 2000’s called Ultimate Muscle and that’s were I got the most enjoyment. They brought back the old Muscle mini figures, but also brought out 12 inch figures of the main characters from the show. Managed to get them all a couple years ago in the box and they’re up on the wall in my office. Also, the NES muscle game does kinda suck, but the game cube and PS2 titles are some of the best party fighters ever! I still have my buddies over to play them.
I always remember looking thru the Christmas catalogs and seeing fish tank coffee table aquarium and thinking it was the coolest thing ever. I never asked for it for Christmas, as it was pretty expensive, at least for the time ($500 plus). Ive looked them up about a month ago and they re still around. I wanna say it was the JC Penney catalog that had it, but I wouldnt be surprised if the Sears one had it too
I had somewhere between 30-40 of them, I used to buy the 2-packs for 99 cents where I would save and count every penny and then beg to go and buy more. After a few years, I traded them all to my neighbor for 4 TMNT figures, barely used them, don't know what happened to them, and that was that. Man, remembering this now again suuuucks.
The amount of excitement I just had seeing this notification is unreal!
