It did look pretty bouncy on your freeway ride there at the end. What I wouldn't do to find a clean CRX like that, though. Even with the few dents I see, it's cleaner than anything I'm ever going to find in Ohio. The winters have turned them all into rust by this point.

Those washers are for the rear on I know the ek has space between lca and fork so they close the space. Also you can adjust the coilovers by loosing the bottom lock nut and turning the 2 holding the spring tension
Nice video! Very clear on what is going on. Ill have this one saved for when I do my coilovers, although I probably wont be going Maxpeedingrods but you never know!
Thank you! I was really hoping the video would be helpful for someone! The Maxpeedingrod’s really aren’t bad for the price but if I was able to spurge I’d probably go with BC Racing.
Great vid Tiffany! I noticed you got your braces off...great smile😁! I had to wear braces almost 4 years. It sucked🤣! Way worth the pain though. Keep up the good work. I'm certain it will pay off for you👍!

Yeah, unfortunately, their quality control isn't great, so the one that had the oil all inside the bag is blown, so it will fail and/or ride terribly right out of the box. I'd reach out to your cooperation partner and get a replacement. I had to do the same thing and they sent me one.
@@crxseth :\ I for some reason thought they just over lubricated them so the rings & cup would spin easily but after seeing multiple comments saying they’re leaking, I see I was very wrong. I love that lil cartoon CRX at the beginning ! ha I think the oil leaked out of 1 of the coilovers ? They dont come lubricated ! If you watch channel Budgetgears had the same issue where the oil leaked out....What are the spring rates on those ? Did you get an alignment ?
Hehe yes I’m obsessed with it! 😅 Ohhh I thought it was a normal thing for them to have oil so that the collars & everything could move freely. I guess I was wrong! Good question on the spring rates, I forgot to check but I will. I haven’t gotten an alignment yet but I do plan to asap!
@@BwahhTiffany cool! I just ordered H&R Street coilovers for my 1988 civic sedan last week.. will take 3 weeks to get to Canada ! Made in Germany! They have the rear JDM style eyelet rear lower control arm. Pricey but super high quality. The 35 year old oem shocks bit the bullet and leaking oil now !
@@oldskool1979 Oh sweet! I bet it’ll ride real nice! Dang 3 weeks, I’m a bit impatient so I’d be itching to get them but I’m sure they will be worth the wait for that premium quality! Still very impressive that the oem shocks lasted this long! I 💙 Honda!

Miss Tiff , I wanted to ask you ..... After trying the Skunk 2 coilovers then swapping out to Maxpeed, which do you recommend or prefer. Hope you answer because I recently purchased a 99 prelude and I lan on redoing the entire suspension. Thanks for the vid , truly helpful
Hey there! (= Unfortunately, it’s kind of hard for me to answer because my Skunk2 were already blown when I got the car so I wasn’t able to see what they were like when they were new. It turns out the Maxpeedingrods were leaking upon arrival. I didn’t realize but everyone in the comments let me know lol. I also feel like the spring rate in the rear of the Maxpeedingrods isn’t stiff enough & that’s another reason why they’re so bouncy. I plan to go with TruHart coilovers on my Prelude. They’re affordable & I’ve heard nothing but good things! I hope this was still helpful but it makes me happy to hear that the vid was helpful! Thank you!

Does anybody know if these fit the hf I've seen alot of coilvers with different crx trims listed but not the hf and says it fits only with fork type suspension i know somewhat about cars but I haven't touched my crx so I don't have too much knowledge or if somebody could recommend ones for my 88 hf not looking for performance just a replacement to worn out oem for daily driving
Nothing against Chinese coilovers, but I feel the money is better spent on products like KW, Function and Form, Tein, Skunk2, or even Ground Control made coilovers..
Love the crx content. With that said the in and out voice over and music was annoying and made it hard to watch. Got half way and gave up to go watch someone else.
I apologize for the annoyance. It was my first time doing a voice over so I’m still figuring it out but I appreciate the feedback so I can do better next time! Thanks.
