@@Pharto_Stinkus You cant replicate this behavior with todays UI, you couldnt even in late Vanilla and TBC (the UI doesnt let you dispell the debuff, that you must "click" yourself) Maybe it was not specifically decursive/healbot, but those addons definitely existed then and can not be replicated now (unless considered to be botting soft by Blizzard). They did the same for AVR addon that functioned from 3.3.0 to 3.3.2 that they achieved by hiding the camera position values to the addons.
Boosting my alts and my friends using Maraudon and ZF graveyard as a mage is some of the best fun I've had in the game. Feels so good when you have it down pat and you know that you're seconds away from 100s of elites and certain death but you make some clutch nova/blink or you get to a spot where you can jump down and evocate and marvel at all the mobs changing direction to come after you. so much fun
As a ranker/pvp lover Id love for them to do a premade vs premade option and a pug vs pug option, For this to work you would need to make premade vs premade give more honor (high risk/high reward) Would make the game waaaaay more fun for everyone
Mages also get even sillier when you throw in multi-boxing. Which honestly might be one of the biggest differences now. The relative ease of getting a multi-box setup vs. 2004-2006 era. As long as you got money and take the time to figure out ISboxer (which is stupid easy when running all the same class) you can pretty much turn any dungeon into an aoe farm.
6:20 - This would be a dumb change. It's an MMORPG. Those players, the ones in their premade groups, put together a team and should be rewarded for it, not punished or hamstrung. If people don't like losing, it's time to make a team of their own. Network, communicate, make a team, plan events, etc.
He makes a good point why have 5 in AV when you get a full raid with AB and WSG. But you do make a good a good point about it being dumb with 3 or 5. It should be the same % of players So 1 or 2 people in a group for WSG/AB would be fair
Classic was all about fcking grindy annoying long ass dungeons hello maraudon, strat, Scholo People that dont want to put time into grinding out dungeons are not really the type that classic caters too. Classic was all about the times when you actually wanted to burn alot of time in a fantasy world. People not wanting to go Scholo is like people demanding adding group finder in BC when it will launch. Modern mmo comunity and mindset fucking sucks. Even in classic and that basically makes classic a dumped down retail Version, with people just jumping on a bandwagon
Just get into a guild. Everyone need dark runes, flasks, T0,5 Gear, tokens for honor and they will be happy to boost you to your preBiS, so you don't suck so hard in MC and ZG. You have to actually talk to people. Do not just do lfg with randoms. This is not retail you know?
Back in the original TBC I was doing a Gnomer run. We were in the big room near the back door (below the boss that drops Manual Crowd Pummeler). Someone got agro from a leper on the higher level, and then took the elevator to the lower level. About 5 minutes later half the instance swarmed over us as that one leper gnome had ran clear around and pulled dozens and dozens of other mobs on the way. I don't think it works now. Back then a mob would follow you clear across the instance. Now days I believe mobs will reset if you try this.
Palas can already do DM Lashers and ZG pulls like mages and Classic TBC is very likely just around the corner. AoE gets capped there but consecrate and Paladin "damage reflect" strategies and items do not...
this is why i also quit. however a few days ago i started playing again on an rp pve server and doing hardcore runs, the comunity is way nicer since there is no loot no drama no pvp. i honestly love it, i dont care about raids or gold farming, im just leveling, taking my time and not dying.
I agree wholeheartedly. I played from the launch of retail until a few months into WotLK. I had a nostalgia craving for the years of old WoW. I tried Classic and it became apparent that it isn't the same game. The visuals and mechanics are the same, but the soul is not there. Between the addons, the boosting, and the speed at which the content is run through it just isn't the same thing. If it was a free to play game I'd say no big deal, but $15 a month for a 16 year old game that isn't maintained is a price too far.
only thing i disagree with is that world pvp is out there, if you farm for demonic runes you can get some nice 1v1s or 2v2s out in the world or if you're dong silithus CC rep farming maybe it's an EU thing but world pvp is there if you actually go out in the world. don't let phase 2 stop you.
Well tbf about enemies being able to melee you regardless of height distance, it's the same in retail, I'm on a roof pulling an enemy to me and it aggros their friend and their friend is also able to attack me
Have you seen then video of someone on the chinese sever doing MARA1 pull with 330 mobs + Princess boss. He states in the video that up to 360 mobs is possible.
It would never last. I'd bet a good 40-50% of the premades only exist because they queue into solo queues 9 times out of 10. Its easy wins tbh. If they had to actually play the game, and risk the chance of losing real time to a much better team, they would just queue dodge or quit grouping. On top of massive trolling kinda like we've seen in the streamed classic wsg tourneys except they've had to implement a fkn timer due to that very reason. Nothing like having a stacked group that's on full defense for 2 hours with nothing better to do than waste everyone's time. Oh, and that 2 hours was the FIRST flag...
@@Shiftlinkage101 Fixing Classic PvP and making it hella fun would be so easy. Just allow people to enter with premades and have some sort of ELO ranking system for pre made teams. People would be all over that shit and a thriving competitive PvP meta would be born.
Have both tracking abilities at the top of your hot bars near the minimap. Switch when you enter a new area on the mini map often. You eventually get use to it, and do it out of habbit.
I disagree with aoe pulls done by mages being “breaking the game.” To learn the runs it takes loads of patience, dedication, and a bit of skill. To discover them as the first person to ever do them takes even more so. Mages are the 2nd most popular class (behind warriors) and yet how many mages do you actually see selling boosts? If it was breaking the game, everyone could do it easily. The fact that mages are getting directly nerfed with an aoe cap is basically saying “Hey, you are too good at the game. Let’s nerf that.” Also, at around 2:38 , see that shadow hunter in the back there? He would wipe the run and kill you if you did not wait for him to pat back. Thought he would show that, but he does not.
The Battle Ground part, I'm surprised that the exploited map components were not mentioned along side the premade groups.Wall jumps, roof jumps, passing through invisible walls... It wasn't until later did Blizzard made BGs that seemed balanced overall!
I was a former rank 14 (still have some poor quality pvp videos on my youtube profile) in vanilla that was thinking of coming back to classic when the BG's launched. When I did the r14 grind in vanilla, I was a sweaty unemployed tryhard. Nowadays I have a fulltime career, and a house I own that needs constant maintaining. If I were to play, it would be casually solo on the weekends. Apparently if I were to queue a classic BG solo, I'd get put vs a premade ~90% of the time from what I read. This is VERY different than vanilla. When I was pvp'ing 12+ hours a day in vanilla, if I queued solo, I got matched against a PuG just about every time. When I queued as a premade (which I did most of the time), the system matched us against other premades almost always. I dunno how they broke the BG's in classic, but in vanilla, PuG's actually played PuGs most of the time. It would be zero fun to play classic and get tooled over by premades as a pug over and over, so I'll pass on classic
And yeah, you should add engineering. Very few people used Engineering in vanilla. I was gimmicky, bombs were nice, but most people considered their character and their professions one in the same. Most rogues would be leatherworking so they could craft gear. Warriors were blacksmiths for weapons and armor. A warrior wouldn't think about free action potions and spamming them in PVP. And it was rare to see anyone throwing grenades. It was even frowned upon in duels. Now engineering is the Meta, and you'd be hard pressed to find classes using enchanting, leatherworking or tailoring if you're on a PVP server. Most people are engineering unless you have an alt for farming, which is probably mage with mining and herbalism.
You mention mage as an alt for farming, hmm...like AoE pulls, and mining/herb???...I bet if more did this, we would have a lot less of these whining ass videos. Good stuff in this comment, and just shows people that aren't lazy half wits do things that benefit them instead of complaining 24/7. I wonder how some of these peoples lives are if all they do in a video game is complain about what others have that they don't. My character creation screen has the MAGE option...guess theirs doesn't.
I have heard stories of how people early-on used to kite around the dragon bosses in BWL, which apparently was the main reason Blizzard made it so some bosses immediately teleport you in front of them when you go out of range/sight. That's the case now for most raid bosses, and even for some non-raid encounters
I run with premade, it's mainly because the level 60 randoms often dont care about winning at all, and often 1-2 guys afk. You can solo queue at 20-29, 30-39 40-49 no problem and have a great time however.
I loved that lil sly hit at mages when you where opening up the vid saying "Just worth a mention. Not to say that anything in this video should receive a nerf" EDIT: And-d-d-d-d-d-d-d then I watched the rest of the vid NVM!
Rolled a mage two weeks ago, never looked back. Made 2k gold already from Mara 1 pulls and ZF runs. And I was being lazy. If I got hard on it.... Holy hell!
I was really sad with Azeroth Autopilot in classic. Cons Legion, and Azeroth autopilot for BfA were amazing. Such a shame the classic version wasn't as good, and didn;t get a player to cap
As a DMT farming/buff selling machine, I'm surprised you didn't bring up the hunter solo farming ability of DMT. Pretty obscene levels of gold available at a very consistent rate for only one class
But that's the difference us hunters actually have to do some work to get through dire maul into just kiting the king. mages you literally hop on your mount you run through all these mobs you frost Nova blink away and start blizzarding. Besides our whole farming can be fucked up by a single feign death resisting they on the other hand are fine if they got pots with em trust me lol
@@Ithrial420 FD resists don't really screw ya that often once you get the distances down. Not to say it never will, but it's definitely become pretty rare for me since I figured out where to FD
@@Ithrial420 Yeah you totally run through mara on your mount. Also, ZG is super easy, and every mage can do it no problem. Do me a favor? Roll a mage, do these things, and stfu. Side note, @Mr. Plow seems to know the FD trick better than you. Wonder if certain mages have an easier time doing these runs than others. That'd be weird...
I have a Smite Priest that does exactly this. I made sure they were a dwarf so people put up with me simply for fear ward, but then they see what the build can do. Smite Priest may not be the most damage in the game, but it can preform even better than shadow because you don't rely on DoTs, plus Holy Nova's aoe. Mana isn't as big an issue as people make it out to be once you get gear. Priests scale so hard with Spirit, especially with this build, so once you get going you wont even have to mana-pot most fights.
Wait, did you not bring up Dflask? This video in general was really disorganized and difficult to follow. Why not separate all the mage farms into one section rather than all over?
Man, you should visit some of the "better" private servers (expansions (Netherwing Atlantiss just restarted TBC with all their fixes and re-written engine implemented from the start)) and see what people are up to, and try to predict if Activision Blizzard will nerf certain things or not. Private servers have grown immensely since BfA, and their quality alike. I've played quite a few myself, redone content I've known for years, and learned lots of new things.
Sigh... and there I was on my shaman trying to farm ghost mushroom in mara. Gotta take a lesser invis for each run and hope I don't accidentally aggro the sludges on that one damn jump or it's a wipe and a long run back. That's ok, I learned how to solo farm angerforge and helped a few guildies, as well as myself, get HoJ. Because that is what ele shams need: an ego boost!
Pre mades aren't the issue, it's that we have no way of ticking a box for PvP that would enable us to avoid pre mades against people that sign up with a certain amount of players and jus have a casual bg with like-minded players.
you need at least 8 days to complete the gates to open... because you have to do at least two BWLs to complete the questline, and BWL resets only once a week.
well, i am dissapointed that the strat UD side aint covered in this xD but then again, thats the top a le cream of mages that are able to do that wich was the top method of boosting players to 60 before ZG, one mistake or a few second late start, that would destroy the run and on golemagg server, it was 25-30g a run per player ( no loot for the boosted ppl ). clear speed of 11-13min if duo mage.

Decursive and healbot didn't have the features you mentioned in Vanilla, or even TBC. They were added later.
@@Pharto_Stinkus You cant replicate this behavior with todays UI, you couldnt even in late Vanilla and TBC (the UI doesnt let you dispell the debuff, that you must "click" yourself)
Maybe it was not specifically decursive/healbot, but those addons definitely existed then and can not be replicated now (unless considered to be botting soft by Blizzard).
They did the same for AVR addon that functioned from 3.3.0 to 3.3.2 that they achieved by hiding the camera position values to the addons.
PvP could be definitely improved by matching premades against premades and by removing reputation gains for loses.
Boosting my alts and my friends using Maraudon and ZF graveyard as a mage is some of the best fun I've had in the game. Feels so good when you have it down pat and you know that you're seconds away from 100s of elites and certain death but you make some clutch nova/blink or you get to a spot where you can jump down and evocate and marvel at all the mobs changing direction to come after you. so much fun
what i love about this video shows that BFA is the mmorpg and wow classic is just a single player game
I should have rolled a mage, but not, oh, no, crusader memes and deus vult got the best of me...
I made a pally last week now it's 50, mage boost baby
the 10 video format is fine, do what you want it's your channel
As a ranker/pvp lover Id love for them to do a premade vs premade option and a pug vs pug option, For this to work you would need to make premade vs premade give more honor (high risk/high reward) Would make the game waaaaay more fun for everyone
Just pemade vs premade with same honor and watch them dissolve
12:03 you dont need gear.. arlaeus has done it naked on his mage
Was he aoeing with frostbite?
Paladin's Consecration cries silently in a corner. Especially with the Paladin naked ZG all pull run already shown.
Been trying to do scholo for like five days now just can’t find a group. Everyone’s getting boosted lmao. This is not how classic was.
they prob are doing it because blizzard is probably going to nerf classes more because of the video
Well nobody wants to run Scholo because its annoying and takes really long unless you overgear the instance
Running scholo sucks.
Classic was all about fcking grindy annoying long ass dungeons hello maraudon, strat, Scholo
People that dont want to put time into grinding out dungeons are not really the type that classic caters too.
Hey man, is there a list some where of what AddOns you use? Your hud and ui look nice and clean...
the same people who wanted no changes are the same people complaining the raids are too easy
the nochangers are basically communist. they practice it, it fails and then they claim it isn't true communism.
Paladins can do the zul farrack farm also, just takes a bit longer with smaller pulls
"Greater Blessing of Kings spam" tanking :D
Saw it live actually - Pallys are viable MTs, I take everything back
This still works?
What is that Addon. Called that shows buff & Debuff timers? Can´t Quite hear it clearly in the video
“First in game use of mage’s AoE to their advantage”
Jokerd: hold my Redbull...
What addon shows the time left on dots& curses? I couldn't make it out.
The way people play Classic is why I quit months ago. Everything that can be exploited is exploited...to the max... and it just wasn't fun.
players always do that and it´s not even fun to play, the problem is that the game is figured out
this is why i also quit. however a few days ago i started playing again on an rp pve server and doing hardcore runs, the comunity is way nicer since there is no loot no drama no pvp. i honestly love it, i dont care about raids or gold farming, im just leveling, taking my time and not dying.
Another thing to add: MAGES (yep, another mage) with a macro to auto target into cast insta spell as mob is spawning to get tag.
hunters can do that infinitely better
I no longer play classic after getting all the bwl set, but I still come back to theses vids
What's the weakaura/addon for the shadow ward?
only thing i disagree with is that world pvp is out there, if you farm for demonic runes you can get some nice 1v1s or 2v2s out in the world or if you're dong silithus CC rep farming
maybe it's an EU thing but world pvp is there if you actually go out in the world. don't let phase 2 stop you.
Pre made vs Pre Made is PvP at its peak and exactly what people should want.
Just rename the video "10 ways mage break Classic"
I thought that was the name first lol.
I see you having herbalism + mining on your pally. How do you track both efficiently? I think I would be too lazy to click often
It would be zero fun to play classic and get tooled over by premades as a pug over and over, so I'll pass on classic
best decision youve made after buying a house. if pvp was going to be the one and only goal, you dodged a bullet the size of the moon.
7:00 so you are saying that we players are basically isekai anime protags?
Im waiting for the moment when they will find a pathing issue in a raid and the one pull videos that will follow
Zg
I have heard stories of how people early-on used to kite around the dragon bosses in BWL, which apparently was the main reason Blizzard made it so some bosses immediately teleport you in front of them when you go out of range/sight. That's the case now for most raid bosses, and even for some non-raid encounters
Forgive my ignorance, but what's R&G?
I had a character boosted by a mage in Mars who pulled 360 mobs AND the Princess boss, never seen anything like it!
Hunter DM North farm. With enchanting and the amount of mana pots you get from this you could potentially make 200g/hour
I run with premade, it's mainly because the level 60 randoms often dont care about winning at all, and often 1-2 guys afk. You can solo queue at 20-29, 30-39 40-49 no problem and have a great time however.
They need to do a hardreset for tbc and buff the instances. People will do tk and ssc on day 1 in tier 3 gear otherwise
is it weird that i think old armor sets, look AMAZING
I loved that lil sly hit at mages when you where opening up the vid saying "Just worth a mention. Not to say that anything in this video should receive a nerf"
EDIT: And-d-d-d-d-d-d-d then I watched the rest of the vid NVM!
Class is crazy
Rolled a mage two weeks ago, never looked back. Made 2k gold already from Mara 1 pulls and ZF runs. And I was being lazy. If I got hard on it.... Holy hell!
What is the point of that much gold in Classic anyway? There is nothing to spend it on after you get epic mount besides consumables and some enchants.
@@rudy1999 TBC epic mounts and leveling alts
When is the last time you made a positive video on Classic?
What good would it do the game to make a positive video?
I was really sad with Azeroth Autopilot in classic. Cons Legion, and Azeroth autopilot for BfA were amazing. Such a shame the classic version wasn't as good, and didn;t get a player to cap
I don't get what's the issue with premades. Isn't that the point of group PvP?
Holy Nova can out dps anything but a fire mage, and with crap gear. Until you run out of mana.
The ZG pull is not easy to get down....lots of small details that need dialed in
Wait, did you not bring up Dflask? This video in general was really disorganized and difficult to follow. Why not separate all the mage farms into one section rather than all over?
ok, looking back I think the issue is the 10 things. They pop up on screen for such a short amount of time that I forgot them or missed them entirely.
pallies have consecrate?
Can you do TBC for the next top ten on farms Pretty Please
How did diamond flask not make this list?
Now mages can pull Princess with 340 mobs in Mara... At once!
so palas dosent have consecration ? 1:13
Consecration, Flame Wrath polearm, Force Reactive Disk, Retribution Aura say hold my beer
"Warriors- nothing" What about whirlwind and TC?
Both abilities are capped at the number of mobs they hit. That's what he meant I think.
It’s not really AoE, it’s more Multi-target since the max number of targets is fixed.
Wait... What’s this?
*Equips the Ravager*
watch when AQ comes out, war effort stuff will only be able to be turned in for items looted AFTER its release
1:15 Paladins nothing? Need I remind you of a little spell called Consecration?
He literally said, *baseline* aoe.
@WillE did not you forget to popular Priest? Holy Nova with low rank + upgraded Crit chance :)
“Paladins have no AoE” uh Consecration??
Same as warriors, they have whirlwind
SirBarksALot91 whirlwind only hits 4 targets and has a cooldown, he obviously meant sustainable and unlimited targets aoe
@@Raynea oh ok, thanks 😃
He distinctly said "baseline". Consecration is not baseline.
@@smallpseudonym2844 What does baseline mean?
Sigh... and there I was on my shaman trying to farm ghost mushroom in mara.
As a Mage player your salt sustains me.
Here before Asmongold
You didn't even mention the right ZF farm. The wall jump is so much more broken.
please talk about the very controversial and unbelievable way that they are handling the AQ gates.
Just got done with lvling mage 40-54 in ZF and clicked this video.. the first thing I see.....
I mean it was there in Vanilla...
? All I meant is that it triggered my ptsd after spending a week in that place
Getting steamrolled by full team premades in AB and WSG is always fun. Why would you want to change that?
are you the science guy with the moustache?
awesome video !
I just levelled my aoe mage alt to 54 and got staff of celebras yesterday.
See's this video: "Wille *don't* "
Pre mades aren't the issue, it's that we have no way of ticking a box for PvP that would enable us to avoid pre mades against people that sign up with a certain amount of players and jus have a casual bg with like-minded players.
you need at least 8 days to complete the gates to open... because you have to do at least two BWLs to complete the questline, and BWL resets only once a week.
Man I hope blizzard changed all the items required to open gates of AQ, that would be great
well, i am dissapointed that the strat UD side aint covered in this xD but then again, thats the top a le cream of mages that are able to do that
wich was the top method of boosting players to 60 before ZG, one mistake or a few second late start, that would destroy the run
and on golemagg server, it was 25-30g a run per player ( no loot for the boosted ppl ). clear speed of 11-13min if duo mage.
