PVP can only shine in Arena. That's it.
Like every other thing we had was fucking garbage except for one... And what do u want blizzard to do with PVP as theme?
      * PvP Zone in Nagrand TBC where u get mounts to buy
      * Winter Millennium in Wotlk with a raid - I didn't like both
      * Tol Barad with a raid - Didn't like it either
      * Did we had something in MOP? What ever
      * Fucking Ashran men i hate Ashran so much but the Arena in Nagrand that was fucking cool
      * Some PVP Worldquests u did for honor level or rep
      * PVP Weekly Quests........ I don't like em - 2 title for killing people without dying - Battle in Nazjatar
Actually BFA has more pvp activities than the other expansions kinda funny isn't it?
And the thing is since tbc world pvp is fucking pointless u don't get anything in most times for killing other player AND since u can fly when ur dead ur back at ur body in 5 seconds AND since u need only 1.5 seconds to mount up u can basicly respawn, mount up and fly away. U can't even gank people anymore after they annoyed you or for fun.
      .
In Classic world pvp is fun because u know how fucking long the other player need to run for respawn and then u can kill them again for honor who's actually not useless but battlegrounds are still more rewarding since, well since ever.
      .
And let's be real since u have Warmode what is actually pretty good AND a huge imbalance between alliance and horde u don't really wanna play with warmode as alliance. Sometimes u just wanna do daylis in Uldum and u get killed by 3 different horde groups because they wanna complete their weekly kill quest... That's not funny at all. The fucking quest is stupid if u ask me. So yeah i play warmode off even warmode by himself is a good idea but with the imbalance in the game it's garbage and u have to be really lucky to get on a layer where alliance is dominating.
Another point are the layer. I don't know anyone in the game anymore. Back in the days u can atleast remember people u killed or who killed u and u had a little reputation on ur server if u did world pvp but nowerdays no one gives a shit.
But sure u always did those pvp activities but only because u had a raid in tol barad or u get mounts, title or gear so u did it but no one really does it for fun if u ask me since bc. I mean it's not a competition to kill people who have like green gear, being half afk or build a group in bfa to kill people who try to make their quests for ur own quest. It's just u wanna complete the quest
      .
In the end i don't need and i don't want any pvp activities in the game because 90% of them we're stupid or boring. Just make arena great again.
I believe if we would have a PVP Stat again and the class or atleast the design in Arena would be great PVP is totally fine.
I didn't like any of the PVP activities u had since tbc except for the arena in wod that was pretty cool but i did all of them for rewards not for fun. Arena is the important part in world of warcraft.

Queen Azshara was a name people have known since the Warcraft RTS days. Literally has a zone named after her in WoW. But as a raid boss was only given one patch in an expansion that had little-to-nothing to do with her. Her appearance was so unexpected that even Lor'themar and Thalyssra had no idea where they were when discovering Naz'jatar until Azshara literally appeared in front of them. She could have easily carried a whole expansion.

Same with Kil'jaeden (TBC), Malygos, Nef+Ony in Cata, Cho'gall, all of the warlords in WoD except for Blackhand. Legion and WotLK where probably the expansions that where best at avoiding this.

Your core spec plays almost the same as it does in BFA, the only real difference is you get a lot of offspec abilities back, but those are very situational and never part of the core of the gameplay of your main spec. Sure, my Arms warrior got Ignore Pain, I'll use that once in a blue moon when I am in dire straits and getting my ass kicked but Arms itself is still playing nearly identical to BFA. The downfall really started in Legion when they moved to templates and now In BFA you can't even get BGs to pop half the time. Practically nobody PvPs now.

@@Drewsterman777 Agreed, the move from WoD to Legion when they went to PvP Stat templates really hurt PvP and then they just made it worse in BfA when they abandoned Templates and just made you use PvE gear.
Ironically enough, while you need to do balancing every expansion, PvP is so much less work than PvE. In PvE you need new Dungeons, new Raids and a bunch of leveling zone. PvP we are happy with PvP gear, a new BG and a new.Arena, but really are fine without either the BG and Arena as long as we get PvP gear. The effort it takes to satisfy PvPers is so much less than it takes to build an engaging experience for PvEers, the fact that they've got it so wrong for the last two expansions is crazy to me.

I absolutely give you that the systems in BFA are trash, but the actual content, by which I mean the zones and the dungeons were good (way better than WoD or even MoP if you ask me), and I had a blast with the Horrific Visions and the updated Brawler's Guild, as well.

They really dropped the ball on N'zoth and the Black Empire.

The major flaw with BFA was most of the classes felt bad to play. The Classes in Legion were not complete without their artifact weapons, and some classes needed Legion legendaries to be viable. Going into BFA there were some class changes, usually making an artifact weapon ability a talent, but not enough to fill in what was lacking. When the foundation of the game is flawed, nothing built on top of it will work.

    • @BaconMaken
      @BaconMaken 4 роки тому

Hence why Legion is actually to blame for a lot of problems we face now. Legion introduced "borrowed power" temporary abilities that only last one expansion. Classes should be balanced around abilities, not artifact weapons, legendary armor, azerite armor, and corruptions. I don't know why most people give Legion a pass when it literally started these issues. BfA just continued them.

@Sharnie Gujjar Wat? Shadowlands is literally continuing the story of WotlK and the Lich King, wdym it didn't matter? I mean sure you couldn't see the impact of WotlK in the world, because the Lich King after Arthas (cant remember his name) was keeping the scourge of the world in check, so obviously nothing really happened to the world unlike in Cata where the world was destroyed, but that doesn't mean the story overall was irrelevant to the world.
It concluded Blizzard's best narrative arc to this day from Warcraft 3 with us defeating Arthas and freeing him from Nerzhul's grasp. I'd bet there's many people like me who only started playing WoW because WotlK was a conclusion to the Warcraft 3 story, and I really wanted to see and know how it would end (because I grew up playing WC3 and loved that game to death).

    • @georgewillow112

@Sharnie Gujjar "To me, it was the worst because some random Prince kills a city of people and then is tempted by the powers that created the reason he culled the city." Well then you haven't really understood it at all if that's what you think Arthas and his story is.
There is a reason why so many people praise WotlK as the best time in WoW's history, or at the very least it's up there with BC and Vanilla. I might have overexaggerated it, but it actually IS an objectively good story, and probably one of the best in the Warcraft universe. I won't go into detail here, but comparing Arthas' story to Illidan's is like comparing Mount Everest to some random hill in your country. It simply doesn't work.
And I love Illidan's story, don't get me wrong, but it's just not up there with Arthas. Also, WotlK had the best systems in place and was overall the best iteration of WoW that we've ever had, so if you disliked those systems, maybe the game just isn't for you and you're looking for something else? Just a thought.

the Zandalar/Kul Tiras content was all great. It was after that when everything becomes a slog. The smaller stories and characters and locations were all great in the islands of Zandalar and Kul Tiras. I just wish that stuff wasn't being framed by yet another faction war that was then followed by a bunch of lingering plot lines that probably should have been their own expansions ( Aszhara, N'Zoth, Mechagon)
I personally don't think the Jailer is anyone we've ever had prior knowledge of, I personally hadn't even considered that. I will be personally amazed if it's some old character in a new role, considering the lore around the Jailer suggests that the Jailer has always existed since time immemorial. As for Sylvanas' writing? I don't have any complaints but maybe that's because it looks like they've been taking her down this road since at least Cata, I 've never liked her and i am pretty sure a lot of the plot has come about simply as a way to finally get rid of her from the Horde, so the last vestiges of any outright evil characters in it.

The reason they keep having to do stat squishes is partially because they simply have too high ilvl increases per tier. However, the more significant reason is that the stat increases are exponential. +10 ilvl from 200 to 210 is extremely different from +10 from 300 to 310, etc. So instead of a linear gain where you can expect the same increases, you'll see extreme jumps at times. This has been true for ages, and Blizzard just seems to keep ignoring the issue.
