I took my daughter out for breakfast the other day. A pancake and eggs. And coffee. The bill was $78. Such a waste of my money. I'm basically working only for food. Nothing else. Gov are doing a heck of a job . Keeping us alive just enough to breathe. No wonder crime rate going up. Incompetent gov officials.

And if you're a Democrat voter you're a part of the problem.

That sounds like a you problem. Anybody willing to pay that much for breakfast is an idiot. I eat out all the time. It isn’t that expensive.

Almost all cereals are loaded with sugar. That is not a viable food to live on let alone a good food to even eat for breakfast. All it does is cause a spike in glucose levels.

Good reminder. I try to stick with oatmeal. I use oatmeal as a food stretcher in meatloaf, soup..casseroles..

Cereal is also very pricey now. And they forever try to dupe shoppers with their "Family size" "Large size" and "GIANT size. The family size is literally enough cereal for 4 bowls.

Loaded? Many cereals, even ones like Lucky Charms and Fruity Pebbles, have only 12 grams of sugar per serving. Potato salad and coleslaw from the grocery store have as much or more sugar and definitely more sodium. Plus the cereal has added vitamins and minerals. I am not advocating cereal as health food but it gets a bad rap. There is unhealthy food everywhere and much of it is worse than a bowl of cereal.

Even baked beans like Bush’s have more sugar than cereal. I know about nutrition but many people don’t, which is why they are so fat, including many who rail against cereal. I am 50 and have eaten cereal on and off my whole life.

Ask yourself this. If you don’t eat cereal as part of your dinner, with what will it be replaced? Think about why people are so fat.

Some folks report significant savings by following "Under the Median" podcasts...review the old ones, too. I cut my electric bill by $70 a month. I live in ND so my furnace does run. I keep it at 73°. I canceled Dish. The electric drain was $15 a month + the monthly fee. I strictly use my cellphone for youtube comedy, news, HGTV Cops...sermons music.. -no tv..radio or microwave..

We never had this inflation problem in 2019. It all started with lockdowns and the panic buying and so many things from that. Now more will die from poverty than the virus itself. Eating poorly, missing healthcare, money stress will also lower the immune system amd make people more at risk of covid that is now running free in society.

Cheaper to feed a family an egg sanwich than cereal walmar bread and eggs will run approximately $3.50 i can feed all 4 of us twice for that. If we want to get fancy i can throw in a little cheese for pennies more.

It's fascinating seeing genz and millennials deal with this, mayve it happened in the past but compaines seem in for a bumpy ride. I'm wondering what both generations will do , stop buying or stop eating certain foods? Seems they both are still supporting the prices increases which is not smart
