Mostly good quality cane baskets come with a varnish quoting. You can also apply any clear lacquer paint ir varnish to prevent them from moulds.

Love this because I am in a rental now and man this is hard. #1 THANK you for having subtitles. I love this channel and would have been devastated w/o them. I cling to all of your videos for ideas and growth. #2 I needed that again...be patient. When you first move in you want everything perfect but that is not reality. #3 I have found some basket like the woven and straw you can get at thrift stores. More economical. #4 I agree with the measuring! Paramount! Thank you for making us decide on where they should go to.

In my place the humidit level always remains really high and the sunlight doesn't faces us directly most of the year. So bamboo nd wood things always remain risky here. Infact metal too gets rusted very easily. Recently the small foldable wooden table in bedroom got white fungus all over it even while being kept away from any water source.
Kindly share how to remove the mould and ensure that it doesn't happens again. Shall I put wood varnish all over it? Will that help?
That could be problematic. Yes, if you apply varnish or lacquer then mould or fungus can be prevented.
