Great song written by Peter Allen. I think this version was a Qantas commercial used when the Australian borders reopened after the COVID pandemic. Very emotional.
……in a very good business move, QANTAS bought the rights’ to that song many years’ ago. It then started their series of tv advertisements’, featuring the Australian Boys’, & Girls’ Choirs’, filmed in various locations’ throughout the world.
It was THE most popular series’ since the ‘koala on-board’ the newly acquired Boeing 747, in the 1970’s………

It's amazing how this makes so many people cry, including Aussies. This video is an advertisement for our airline company called Qantas.
I take living in Australia for granted so its been wonderful to see this country through new eyes. Someone once said 'if you were born in Australia you won the lottery' Its true 👍 How lucky are we Aussies ❤
One thing about Australians. They call it as it is and what it is. They say what they mean and mostly mean what they say they are straight up.
This should be our national anthem. The unity and diversity depicted in this video makes me so proud. As an Indigenous Australian we belong to this ancient land and seeing it represented in this video pulls at my heartstrings ❤️🪃

@@Poshvibes486 The pink and red lakes are from minerals and ores in the ground, mostly iron ore.
They do exist in other countries too..... from memory I think there are some in Russia and maybe Canada, but I’m not really sure.
We also have one of only 2 Everglades in the world, on the Sunshine Coast, north of Brisbane in Queensland.
The other better known Everglades are in the southern tip of Florida, USA.

dont be too sad. Australia is not the Australis it once was. its dog-eat-dog, homelessness, wage and wealth disparity and the Australian Dream is no longer attainable for most. I'm an Aussie, and in 2024, Australia could be any shitty place in the world. this generation will never own their own homes and most are one bad luck event, or paycheck from disaster. its a great place if you are born i the right post code.
Its our REAL anthem! Aussies travel so much bc we live so far from everyone! Getting onboard a qantas flight to go home i well up, & I ALWAYS BURST INTO TEARS SEEING THE BLUE MOUNTAINS west of Sydney or flying up the gorgeous coastline. I THINK WE ALL FEEL IT!

I'll never forget walking through Heathrow to go home and seeing the big red tails. That was emotional enough, but it was when the cabin crew got on the p.a. to welcome us aboard and she had a strong Aussie accent. That, finished me.

The CEO of Quantaz has destroyed the iconic airline...this is a commercial from the 1990s when Australian companies had a Sprit and decency.
Now they are dismantling the beautiful brand with WOKE culture and taking away the SPRIT of Australia brand.
Anything good has now been corrupted.

Please never forget my ancestors the Australian Convicts they were taken from their families and homeland. Used as slaves to build the country I was born in. A lot of these convicts weren’t criminals they were trying to survive the Great Depression yet these convicts have never been thanked or even acknowledged for the deaths, slavery and torture they endured. One day I pray my ancestors will be remembered and just acknowledge for what they went through and what we built along with the indigenous people of Australia. There is a white stolen generation that have never been spoken about. The convicts are never spoken about and if they are it’s in a negative light..
