    By popular request, here is Symphony of Destruction. Don't worry, Tornado of Souls is coming too! I put a lot of detail into the solo breakdown so if you're having trouble with it try to follow my picking suggestions. Learning the theory that I talk about will also really help with this kind of playing. Thanks for watching and supporting!

      Cool, you actually took my request! I like how you offer a different way of approaching a track, there's always a lightbulb I get from watching your videos, especially how u break up rhythm and phrasing blocks and transitioning from one fingering to the next~ (stuff most tend to skip) Thanks ;)

    I'm glad you mentioned the timing of that pre-chorus, that's the part that really drives the song imo.

    • @TimHolman
      @TimHolman  Рік тому

      Yes, it does drive the song a lot. It can be tricky to get those off beat accents in time so I thought I'd give it a mention.

    My favorite song of all time, i'm obsessed with the chorus riff man! No one have gone crazy like me trying to play it 100% exactly like the original recording, and i did but shame my gear sucks so i won't get a proper tune.. But of all the millions covers i heard you're the only one that played it the closest to the track!! Do u realize how much i like what u did here?? Thank u man

    Something I'd love to see would be a few basic tips on amp set up to get the tone right... or close enough (for this song and the others too). I've been trying to learn the first part, but it sounds horrible on my Boss Katana 50 (and I tried installing a few preset patches). Any help with that will be much appreciated.

    Finley the last two measures played correctly, I have been trying to make them sound right by playing it how others say it is played, well THIS is how it is played! A huge THANK YOU for this. I don't think it is a small difference, to me it makes all the difference.

      That's so right. I never thought of it that way, also thanks for the picking directions in the lesson and tab, that has been a huge help. For some reason I can never figure it out, I am hoping if I keep following yours I will finely pick up on it naturally, I can play so much faster when I follow your picking exactly.@@TimHolman

    Btw I'm having trouble with the solo, it's the flexibility from 10th to 15th fret. Due to the way my pinky bends, I can't get any power for hammer tapping.
