0:47 one of the greatest tension & release moments in music history! Love it since I was a kid, such an uplifting sound overall. Brilliant as always Michael
Spot on. I have been trying to learn this solo and its so fluid and unconventional. It makes it both difficult to learn and very respectable as one of the best solos.
Very nice nailed it!!!! I am trying to learn this as a three piece so I’m also trying to get a passing solo on guitar to fill the space of the organ solo:) it’s a project !
The feel and musicality of this solo astounds, where the plethora of chops are there to help paint the picture, not hog the limelight. Makes modern day shredding a joke. Awesome rendition btw. You look almost as relaxed as Denny pulling of this giant. Hat's off to you sir.
Just curious: How long did it take to learn this, and how did you go about it? (Sheet music? Tabs?).That’s just too cool.Just like the original.Thank-you.👍
Thank you for your kind words. I'm a bit of an outlier as I had a good ear from day one. It was just there as a gift form God/the universe. so, with that advantage, I'd say it took around 5 minutes to figure out the notes and about 15-20 minutes to get it under my hands. If you'd like a teaching video of it, email me at: twanghang@hotmail.com for info. Thanks! 🙂
hi Mike, this is rob. A mutual friend told me to check out your channel so I did. Weird question; do you have a fan on in the room here? Ps, always good to see your playing, nailed one of the tastiest solos in existence.
@@michaelgregory2231 I thought I heard a warbling of some kind on a guitar, thinking a Leslie on fast would sound good on that solo. Then it occurred to me you might have a ceiling or floor fan on in the room
@@michaelgregory2231 I do also sometimes hear things in music that may or may not be there...do you get up to scott's to play on occasion? I retuned the guitar I brought to normal pitch after my shellacking over there; it would be a blast to play again sometime
@@robh1343 Now that you mentioned Scott, I know who this is. Big smile. I ask him about you often and would love to get together again when this crap is over. My email: twanghang@hotmail.com

Thank you! That's a manly move to do this in a 3 piece - good no ya!

@@robh1343 OK. Could've also been some sort of phasing issue between my guitar sound and the recording

This solo is almost "not of this world". It's so far out.
