@ how is not the official movie? That doesn’t even make sense? So did I not watch lord of the rings? The extended version is just that…extended. I can understand if they just drag on longer, but I’m confused how this isn’t the Original movie?
@@CaitybTV The original movie is the theatrical cut. There's a huge difference between the theatrical and extended. Almost as if they're completley different films.
@@CaitybTV I guess he just means original release and thinks thats how peter jackson originally intended it for the viewers...... but the extended editions are just superior, for this masterpiece more is always better than less
I looooove that you pause and regroup. So many reactors talk over important dialogue and lore and miss things, you’re so analytical and respectful of the tale. A true Queen, welcome to Middle Earth ❤
Don't apologize for stopping the film to speak your mind. You are now dealing with Tolkien fans. We never mind stories or dialogue. If we did, we wouldn't be reading a book that requires separate books to explain details, and we certainly wouldn't be watching movies that are four hours long. 😂
Your Game of Thrones and Attack on Titan reactions have already been some of my favorite things to watch the last few weeks, and now you're reacting to my favorite movies?! I hope we get to see the rest of the movies with you because your reactions are honestly the best out there.
Your cheerful "Neeeed!" made me grin like a fool; I'm so used to GoT reactors going "Oh, that's the guy from Lord of the Rings!" Don't think I've ever seen someone flip the script on Sean Bean's appearance. :) Of course, these two iconic roles (and a few others) have given Sean Bean a bit of a meme, for, uhm, reasons. As for the long intro at the beginning - they had to sum up several books and a few thousand years of lore, it's a miracle they kept it as brief as they did. The rest they weave in as the movies go along, like Gandalf's mention of 'that business with the dragon'.
0:39 Omg I never expected to be watching you watching LOTR! What a great surprise! Please YES to part 2 and a huge YES to the extended editions! Your reactions are always so much fun! I also wanted to add, since I know that you are a music lover, the soundtrack of all 3 movies is so amazing and makes these films even more majestic. Welcome to the LOTR lore. You are very bright and always point out so many good details, so watching you react to my ultimate favorite movies is a treat! Thank you!
YESSS!!! The best movie trilogy of all time - thank you for reacting to this, hope you enjoy it! And don't worry too much about all the names, you will mostly pick them up as you go along, but most importantly you are definitely picking up a lot of the more subtle details about the story and characters, so you will be just fine!
Please Caitlin go on with this journey and watch the other parts, too. These are really masterpieces. I love your TV and movie reactions btw. You get me rolling on the floor laughing every time with your quick comments. Greetings from Germany.
I love the honesty, Caitlyn. Its appreciated that you want to be fully present in watching this hence doing the reactions in parts. Stay awesome and more power to your channel.

These movies are genuinely life changing and will always be a classic!! Looking forward to watching your next reactions if you ever get to watch them!!!❤
Gimli is acted by John Rhys Davies, who you may remember from various films, including two of the Indiana Jones films. He was the tallest actor, but Gimli was shorter than everyone except the hobbits.
I haven't watched these movies since i was a kid. I remember having a MASSIVE crush on legolas and just being scared in general at alot of parts lol. I would've been 3 when the first movie came out.
I saw this in theaters as a baby child and had nightmares about Gandalf for some reason. Stellar trilogy, one of the very best! Don’t get too hung up on the pros and cons of extended vs theatrical cuts. You will get plenty of folks arguing about one or the other. Like all fandoms, there is a lot of passion involved from people wanting you to treat it ‘right’, but the only correct way to go about is to pick what will maximize your enjoyment!
I love that you pause to talk! So many people miss important parts because they don’t pause. You seem to have a better understanding of what you watch because you pay attention. I think it’s great
lotr is the very start of my nerdom and fandom. Falling in love with the movies, the filming process, and then the books at age 12 really shaped my character and how I dive into the things I love whole heartedly. From fantasy and sci-fi, to tv shows, and now mainly kpop. lotr will always hold a special place in my heart. I still rewatch the films regularly and try and re read the books every few years. (I wanted to be like Christopher Lee who plays Saruman and read them once a year, but that never really worked out)
PLEASE do the whole trilogy! Saw them in theaters 20 years ago and watched them countless times since then, and I STILL get excited each time. "Life changing" is the best way to describe this trilogy.
ENJOYYYY CAITLIN this world is pure comfort to me, all about friendship and faith. Hope you love it ❤❤ There’s a lot of fairytale like explanation at the start because Tolkien wrote a beautifully extensive world and a story prefacing the Lord of the Rings! They basically condensed it all to start the movie haha. Also I burst out laughing at the Dumbledore moment but tbf, I had that exact moment as a kid 😂😂
I was all about HP, the books, films, and lore until I dipped a toe into this Tolkien masterpiece with this Peter Jackson adaptation of the LOTR's. The books, films, and just starting on the Silmarillion hardback I recently purchased, I'm ALL in. Hands down THE BEST. 💯
Aragorn had visited Gondor but chose to hide his identity. His line of descent from Isildur lived, and ruled a kingdom (Arnor) in the north, but that kingdom was destroyed many generations ago. The line of kings in Gondor died out.
I think it is pretty common for people to feel like LOTR is not something they would enjoy, for any number of reasons. But they are written to be an immersive, relatable & inspiring tale. It's really for anyone who appreciates the power of imagination. I'm always glad to see another person start that journey. "The road goes ever on & on..."

"Oh, that came out" 😂😂
Caityyyy I’m so happy 🥰 I am loving your show and movie content!!
Not Dumbledore, and NOT the same actor. Harry Potter is a copy of Lord of the Rings, not the other way around. LOTR was wriiten in the 1940s and 1950s. Love how you correctly anticipate so many of the actions and motivations of the characters. Looking forward to the next reaction 🙂
The greatest trilogy ever filmed.😉
people hate on Isildur not destroying the ring but really ... it's the One Ring. who else has one? One Ring to rule them all? THE Ring of Power?
YES! Thank you so much for posting this 🥰🎉
7:30 an uncommon and delightful practice.
