I've been a VEGAN since i was 2 years old and now 42. I'm a bodybuilder here at Gold's Venice. My mother became a VEGAN in her 30's and shes now 75. Neither my mom nor my self have ever been sick.

I like that Scott doesn't come off as a zealot like so many do that practice polarizing nutrition plans like vegan/keto/paleo/carni etc. He is educated, experienced, open minded and is a true ambassador to the sport of distance running :-)

Read eat and run this week. I’m a vegetarian training for my first half marathon. I’m really interested in going vegan. Scott seems like a super cool guy, check that book out if you can.

Is there a correlation of eating starches and poorer eye sight?
From what I've gathered over the years, yes, there is a correlation of starch promoting poor eyesight, due to gunking in the body,…. lymph gets gunked with starch fairly readily, variable per person. My body doesn't handle starch so well, so I avoid or rarely consume it, because I typically get sick/common-cold soon after I eat significant starch. I've never had vision/eyesight problems though. I'm age 48, as I get older I notice I have to be more careful of what I eat to keep in top form top vitality all around. The younger one is the more buffering/countering ability ones body has to things due to the nature of younger body chemistries/enzymes and such. So, I eat nonhomogenized milk, cheese, meat, eggs, and of course fresh fruit, greens, non-filtered beer(not much), salt, roasted chicory brew,….

If u avoid starch and don't have eye problems what's your point? Plus eating meat dairy eggs and salt will kill you before your eyes start going!

@@sheepshearer2705 There is no proof that eating meat makes you sick. You are talking about standard american diet which is actually mostly plants.

@@sheepshearer2705 I don't know why vegans like you are blaming meat only from junkfoods while 80% of junkfoods are from plants. Heck, some junkfoods are 100% plants like cocacola, French fries, breads, pastries and fruit juice.

right, we need kinetic energy to regenerate. the extreme vice against this is sloth. Therefore we need to maintain a life of continuous regeneration and renewal through prayer and daily fulfillment of AV Shebashomayim's will in His name Yehoshua HaMeshiach. Think about it, if life is to be eternal through salvation, then one has to work upon things as if one is going to exist that long. Therefore one could take the scott jurek approach. He runs quite a bit which helps his body's cells divide and renew and regenerate and he's trying to eat very healthy, therefore His body is optimally functioning in regards to humanity. I feel cars are a vice. Look at mr. jurek here, he does not use a car that often when he runs does he? He gains strength by running, not driving a car. I find cars to be viceful just like television and computers, when people do not get out and traverse great distances to help their bodies regenerate the kinetic energy. You need to expend energy/exert energy to attain more energy. take energy to make energy. Focus on the person, not the materialism.

Have you any idea how many car miles are required to support these ultralong runs? You'd be surprised.

insanity is a vice. do not forget serial killers are clinically. insane. that is what the word means. Don't seek to be crazy. vices tear us apart from the insides out. so is lbgt, it is what is called criminally insane as well. Thoughts spark. just trying to state if you're really trying to overcome sin, then virtues are the way to go against vices. I thought i heard jurek state that sin is there everyday, that it never goes away. therefore I thought to add. I make mistakes as well. I found the common viceful mistakes i made that others make are the vices of insanity pride/proudness and even worries and fun. fun is a vice but people realize this not. the thesaurus is a very great tool against vices. If one uses the book to look up vices and their synonyms, and to look against virtues antonyms which are vices.
