Alycia has the talent, she just needs the consistency.
yeah her and ben shelton are pretty similar, big serving young american talents but just havent polished their game yet
Love her game. She has to believe in herself
Parks could honestly be a Top 10 player. She’s got the serve and the power. She just really lacks consistency and control. She gets so impatient in points. Would love Serena to coach her cause Parks’ game is really a mix of Venus and Serena
I support your analyse. I think that this beautifull young women needs just psychology assistance to become one of the best women tennis player. She has all qualities to become so.
you need more than a serve
Congratulations Alycia Parks on your 1st Australian Open Singles Victory.
Stay On The Case Beautiful!!!💎👊🏿
🎾
if you like a klingon shaped head...looks like she fell face first into a toolbox
Snigur hits so slurvy. Flat, slice, sideways. Rarely anything regular. She's a nightmare on wheels. Good on Parks for getting past that.
Nightmare on wheels?!? I lol'd in the car while eating my lunch. The imagery was a toss up between her and Kim Jong Un.
...and also, new vocab/linggo for me:
Slurvy.
Cool beans.
+110 W!!! Thank you, thank you, you’re far too kind.
Proud of her! 🎉
Parks' outfit would be great for Wimbledon
I feel like she needs to be a serve and volley player...she should restructure her strategy. She has nice groudstrokes, but Alycia could be a standout serve and volley player. But she has to nail that serve even more, she has a great service motion.
Wow, what a game ? Excellent !
Sing ur was not a none threat but she was definitely a threat to anyone who didn’t take their time for opponents like her. No regular shots good job to Parks so happy to see her go into next round!
Good job Alycia.
Welcome to AO 😊❤
Minus the double faults, when Parks is playing her game she will find a way. Good win.
She needs to get more squared to the court on her return position. She is lethal!
Parks doesn't hit with racquet speed at all times. Just guided the ball the whole first set. Speaks to mentality. This isn't small. She will play well against big names as she has no choice but to hit out, but not doing this all the time is a huge problem...
I think she thought she would out-construct Snigur. But Snigur kinda battled through it and ran everything down. This is why Parks is dangerous for big names. Because then she has to hit out. Full cuts.
Alycia Parks, well done on your improvements. Please keep focusing because you can really play when you do.✨✨🙏🏾✨✨
What a player
Wonderful game ladies congratulations parks 🎉🎉🎉
I've only seen Alycia Parks play doubles so this was a nice treat. Well done!
No doubt Alicia parks is a future champion, she just screams greatness already, we can see what's coming
shes already 23 and has slid out of the top 100 so exactly when?
Hope she goes very far in the tournament.
So enjoyable to watch Alycia Park's game. Such an elegant and exciting display of skills and talent. She likes the net. That sets her apart from others. As she grows more accustomed to the bigger stages and develop mental toughness and consistency --wow! She was not able to play juniors so she needs a little more time. Looking forward to the next 2-4 years.
Great job Alycia. You can win this, but you have to know it💗
Nothing like seeing fresh blood on Tour! Go Alycia! One match at a time
💕 Love Alycia on her being in this Grand Slam. Parks must now learn to be aggressive, Serena style! Go on, child! Love the way you praise God after you win 🛐
I couldn't believe her ALYCIA,movements and the strike,, 1st set, she was slow., Congrats to both of them.
❤❤
Parks will face Leylah Fernandez in the second round. Let’s see how she will level up for that encounter. I’m looking forward to that matchup.
As I was watching this live I felt she didn't have the stamina in the 2nd set but somehow she rallied through and came out on top. She is def intriguing to watch.
Well fought Alycia. Long may you continue
she changed to the Wilson Blade...better for her game. More accurate and precise
yet the overrated servebot still hits 30 plus errors and double digit service faults...100% one trick servebot
Parks vs Fernandez will be interesting. Def rooting for both. If she can keep the rallies long, it’ll be a very good match
I would say Parks' only chance is if she keeps the points short. She doesn't want to be rallying with Fernández.
Fernandez will win that one easily
@@malikfo1941 say what now?? Parks has won 2-0 🤣🤣🤣👍
@@SiLatics56 I was wrong she payed well ,but the patterns stays the same, she gets beaten easily in the early rounds, at some point.
@@malikfo1941 But the thing is, women's tennis is very unpredictable. Best not to assume anything.
a walk in the park lol
Snigurs shots were too flat. The only problem is her serve and she is not agile .
Snigur is one of my new favorite players on tour, love her unorthodox style of play, and it was good enough to beat Halep last year.
Well plaid!
Nice outfit, good tennis.😊
I met her at the Miami Open in 2023, Im so happy for her!!!!
She just needs to be patient. Going for a winner in every ball is not ideal at this level. Sabalenka learned the hard way against S Williams
Parks is going to be dangerous on grass
This feels like a slow version of the women's top players
Yes. It also feels like Parks needs to be tested more for her to discover her full potential.
Alright Alycia
For me Alycia PARKS has more than she prooves. She has so capacities to go ahead and to do best that I don't know why she cannot beat the big ten of women's tennis. I think she needs psychology assistance to give confident in hereself, and she has to practice in order to improove her forhand and backhand. She also has good and power serves. I believe in Alycia PARKS possibility to do better and achieve the top in women's tennis;
keep dreaming, shes a slow moving one trick servebot. shes already 23 and so far 2024 is starrting out losing and she just lost to Bogdan again and has gone from 40 to 110 ranking. All hype.
Ya era hora que ganará me gusta y siempre muy bien arreglada
Congratulations Alycia Parks
Ms Parks needs to believe in her game more. She chokes a lot💔
I’m glad she’s onto R2
Y dejar de crerse serena encontrar su estilo
Congrats to Paris! Still trying to understand how Halep lost to Snigur. Her game is very basic and you just need to move her around cause she can’t really run fast
She’s dangerous when she plays her game KEEP BEING AGGRESSIVE
Parks is Rude to the ball kids...😂
100% one trick servebot who usually gets more faults than aces. Cant get the ball over the net a 3rd of the time...moves like she has mollases for blood and looks out of shape
Snigur's tennis looks so atrocious lmao.
Alycia used to translate confidence as player. Lately she seems very over reactive and anxious! I don’t know what happened to her
its called medocrity
This was a very weird match. Very.
Lol😂
I like parks but i dont see it for her.
already 23 hasnt been ranked higher than 40; currently 110 and sliding and just lost again today
She's not consistent at all. Look at that second point
Sniger a lot work to be done.
🤣😅😆😁😄😂
I'm not qualified to speak to the tennis, but her mannerisms seem very Serena-like
I was looking for a comment like this. I agree
That’s where the similarities end I’m afraid she doesn’t have the winning mentality
her winning isnt Serena like........
@@carolinegardner8214 hard to win more than 2 matches in a row when all you have is your serve
Parks has the potential but she is just lazy sometimes
I am a crazy fan of hers. LOVE her attire here. White! But I do agree with you. I sometimes think that. She tries to end the point too quick, she uses her strength to belt the ball, she does not get enough footwork to really prepare a good stand point and she plays high risk without giving room. Yeah sure, every one wants to get behind a ball and take over the control of a point but one cannot just hit winners from the first blow. I dont know if these are also your observations.
one trick Servebot@@manupeni
Park seems to be maturing now
Parks is so painful to watch… too good of a serve to waste with a ground game like that
100% Servebot
thanking god again...smh..girl.
Thanking the clouds again and thinking someone's there who has the time to care about her matches.
Does she remind you of a young someone?
In my Usher voice…She reminds me of a girl we all once knew. I see her face whenever I look at you.(Serena)
Parks definitely doesn’t have the fighter mentality like the GOAT.
