    This is really helpful and straight to the point. Really loved it. I recently started annotating and I was a bit overwhelmed and all over the place.
    I’ll be sure to share your videos with others and I’m definitely more confident now with trying to annotate my books !! Thank you

    Loved this! I really need a more focused system for annotating. I love writing in my books but I've noticed I tend to be very vague with it, mostly because I jump in the book with no thoughts and no goals. This will really make me THINK before starting my book! Thank you for the info!

      Thank you so much! I'm glad you found it helpful. I was the same! so I totally relate.. but yeah I noticed that if I'm taking a moment to set my thoughts and goals before diving in, it definitely makes the reading experience more enriching. Happy reading and annotating! If you have any questions or discover any new tips along the way, feel free to share 💛📖

    For several reasons, I just never annotate anything on books. But I found pretty interesting your annotating system...

      It’s so cool to hear that even if you’re not into annotating, you still found the system interesting! That’s one of the best compliments, and it makes me really happy, so thank you! 🤗🫶🏻 I understand that annotating isn’t for everyone, and I see that as a good thing; our different preferences are what make the world so interesting. If you have other tricks for retaining information and staying focused without annotating, I’d love to hear about them when you get the chance. It’s always interesting to explore other methods. Thank you again Fábio, for this lovely comment! 🌻

      @@eden_ayash When I happen to take notes, I write all of them in a notebook (not a computer, but an old-school notebook just like people used to do centuries ago), and on that notebook I usually transcribe the name of the book, and the number of the page from which I want to "copy" the text, and then I just transcribe everything that I find important, along with personal notes that I consider relevant. But on actual books, I just avoid taking notes, as books around here are kinda expensive, and I take extra care with the items from my collection. 😅

    Great video. I don’t annotate, not because I have any objection to it, just because it doesn’t work for how I read, but as a nerdy spreadsheet making reader I really like some of the principles that you’ve used.
    *sigh. Its time for a new spreadsheet then 😖

      Haha thank you so much! you made me laugh 😆 Nerdy spreadsheets sound like a great way to organize your thoughts and track your reading! 😄 Maybe you can do a video about your spreadsheet and how you use it - I'd love to see that! 🫶🏻📖

      @@eden_ayash ha ha, I did one a wee while ago about how I put together a spreadsheet to make my star ratings more consistent. No video of mine was watched less 😂

    • @eden_ayash
      @eden_ayash  2 місяці тому +1

      🤣🤣 I just watched it, and honestly, I don’t know why it didn’t get more views-it’s really practical and well-organized! I made a copy of the spreadsheet cause I definitely intend to play with it 🤝 My videos don’t always skyrocket either, but I think if even one person finds value, it’s a win. So according to my unofficial rating system of successful videos, yours definitely makes the cut!
