It's still called a magazine. A magazine is any fully or nearly fully enclosed container for projectiles that fits into the weapon. A clip is something that holds ammo, but doesn't necessarily go into the weapon and usually doesn't. "en-bloc" clips like on the M1 Garand are the exception. Those can be argued as magazines as well, but are usually called clips.

My most brutal loadout for Bugs is Crossbow, Laser Pistol, Arc Thrower, Thermites and jump pack with a grenade perk armor of your choice. And the 500kg and Orbital Napalm combo. Other than that I like blitzer, laser pistol, autocannon, 500kg, orbital napalm and orbital airburst/gatling barrage. Also with grenade armor, thermites out of habit I was the biggest Blitzer + Grenade Pistol advocate, but the latest patch really made me switch up and the Laser Pistol tends to best deal with shriekers when the other options lack the ability
It may just be me but the arc thrower has never been my jam. I like the build and may manage some democracy with it then see how I feel lol solid again diver, keep it up!
Combine it with the jump pack and crossbow, thats what I do. High ground with arc thrower is insane, mobility in general feels amazing and the crossbow is insane for zipping through the mega nest
Have been using the arc blitzer primary but I think it's time to give the arc thrower a go now! I also strongly recommend the machine gun turret for bugs - short cooldown, can be used in response to breaches like the gatling barrage (my fav orbital) and destroys shriekers which is a gap for this build (arc weapons are usually too short range until they dive you).
@2:47 Either cartridge or clip - it's really same-same. The M1 Garand clips/cartridges holds is basically a thin sheet of metal bent in a way so there's always tension holding the bullets together.
Weapon mods would be cool. I would want jingle bells on mine, so when I run, it jingles with each step. lol Ching! ching! ching! ching! --But really, bayonets would be cool, or under barrel frag launchers, red dots, larger mags, silencers, suppressors for larger guns, ammo types, anything like that would be great.
Why vitality enhancement? Asked this before. Isnt it *only* reducing the risk of injury? It has nothing to do with damage reduction. It prevents leg and arm injuries and whatnot. But you need to take damage in order to be injured in the first place.. and if you do, you will likely stim regardless of whether or not you are injured, since otherwise you will die in the next hit. What am i missing?
Here’s what you’re missing: Vitality enhancement increases your healthbar by an entire armor class. Light armor with vitality enhancement has the same survivability as medium armor without vitality enhancement. That’s why Vitality is the best booster in the game. It also increases damage reduction on top of increasing your health bar.
@@crackededge9351 I just tested this and it does appear to have some effect. With light armor, being attacked by a scavenger from behind, on a slight uphill, you are dead in 3 hits consistantly. With the vitality enhancement, you usually survive with a pixel of health, which is actually big. That said, there is a lot of diminishing returns for people who already run higher armor levels by default. For example, running heavy armor with extra padding, you are dead in 6 hits either way. So while even a bit of survivability is nothing to scoff at, i'd say whether it's a good choice depends on the person, the armor type they are wearing, and whether or not it makes them reach a new breakpoint in terms of being able to take more hits against the enemies troubling them most, or not. Either way, thanks for clarifying. Pretty sure i did a similar test near launch and saw no differences, but maybe that was due to armor levels being bugged. I really wish the game gave us any sort of proper descriptions for those things tho.
Orbital Precision Strike is far better than the Railcannon. You get a faster cool down time and a wider area of effect for the same amount of damage. Otherwise, good loadout.
Hey great game! at 17:00 when youare at those medium nests you can take out all 4 bug holes with a well placed 500kg. makes dealing with them just a little easier imo
i love that hunters and pouncers (?) instantly vaporized by arc thrower hahaha also, would it be awesome if gatling barrage got buff in armor penetration? maybe it could be used as companion of orbital railcannon to deal with charger and chipped away bile titan's health and factory strider
Im going to try a similar loadoud with teammates, probably arc + 500 + orbital precision + napalm barrage, with stun nades, and any backpack from my mates :D
that’s not how it works. it’s just because people usually have a false sense of security because of the extra stims. if you want actual tankiness then take heavy armor with either the fortified or democracy protects modifier. also take the vitality enhancement as a booster
Blitzer stunlocks, so does the Arc Thrower. Crossbow is like a 2 hit kill, autocannon slaps them around, any breaker shreds, punisher has knockback, jumppack gives mobility, shield gen lets you tank.. The basic premise, if they hit you first - you're done. If you hit them first, you'll live. Blitzer is probably the best option
If you haven't unlocked any of the premium warbonds yet your best choices from the regular equipment is the breaker, punisher and arc thrower. The breaker kills them pretty quickly but you have to be fast and not let them get to you. The punisher and arc thrower can stagger or push them back. Once you get some of the premium warbonds you can use some of the stuff mentioned by the first comment.
Redeemer in semiauto>most every other pistol And fire grenades are my go-to for bots or bugs due to a big AOE and very high damage, even berserkers and striders can't stand up to them. If the bolts are loaded via a clip (like the AC), then it's a "clip", the rifles by comparison use a "magazine".....though, just like naval surface vessel classification the military has convoluted this over the years. A magazine is just any box or container that stores ammo or powder, back in history it was just dry powder storage......sorry, gun nerd lol

Bro im sorry but this build is trash. Firstly orbital rail is one of the worst stratagems on the game because of the long ass cooldown, arc thrower is decent but just use the blitzer as primary and the recoilless as your support since no backpack. Instead of the gatling barrage use the gas barrage which is better at everything exepct heavys which the recoiless has you for and either bring eagle cluster or basic machine gun sentry for horde clear and cover fire since its up every 90 secs. I will say you can run whatever you want and everything is valid but its spreading misinformation saying this build is meta. Anyway this the longest comment i ever wrote. Good gameplay tho.

Thats been a thing since the very start. With the 500kg changes it became way less common but I still have it at least once per game

I love using the stalwart as a primary and the crossbow as support. I co-op with a arc thrower and we could shut down breaches together.
Works great... until anything with medium armor shows up.
A single guy with a Grenade Launcher can do the same thing by himself.
38:35 people say the arc thrower is bad because 95% of the community base support weapons off how fast they can kill Chargers/Hulks and Titans/Tanks.

Red warriors don’t mess around, thats why I like stagger primary guns so much.

I like the gatling barrage but I feel like the MG sentry lasts longer and gets me more kills
I feel like the Eruptor gets me more kills than the crossbow. However, I didn't know the crossbow takes out shrieker nests.
It's a repeating crossbow that fires bolts. Crossbow "ammo" are bolts.
The ship leaves low orbit. So using orbitals wouldn't be viable once it goes back into higher orbit cause it wouldn't be accurate if they did try

and a mag for a bow is called a quiver
id personally use gas grenade for crowd control and confusion
"Mags" for the crossbow are clips. It has an internal magazine.
