Apple is no better, they just farm out the data externally so their name remains “clean”
@Mind Blown If you have an android, you can disable all sensors. Look up how to put your android into devoper mode and enable the developers quick buttons to enable the 'sensors off' quick button. It's a button that'll show up in the same slide down menu where your wifi and sound toggles are. With this on, it'll prevent any sensors from being turned on. You won't be able to use the camera or the orientation sensor but at least you'll know that you won't be tracked

In my Google account, there is no option to turn off Location History. There is not even a Location History option to select. I don't think the information your sharing is accurate, not that you're doing it intentionally.

If you're not paying for the product, you are the product. Turning off all of these won't prevent other apps from tracking you. You are better off without the internet. Once you've chosen to be on the internet, you can't avoid being tracked

why would you though? Google timeline is an amazing feature. i've opted in for years now. I also like being able to go back through my google chrome history to find something I vaguely remember but can't quite put my finger on. I'll opt out of most tracking, I have adblock and anti adblock blocker, I don't have facebook, but I do like google's location tracking features.
