- I rapid fire through a bunch of different Ableton Live keyboard and mouse shortcuts. I'm using Mac lingo but you can easily apply it to Windows as well.

What's your favourite shortcut?
definitely the 0 key to disable various things. I used Ableton for a couple of years before someone told me that and it blew my mind
Cmd+F is incredibly useful, but toggling division changes with Cmd+1, Cmd+2, and especially toggling triplets with Cmd+3 are going to get used all the time. Also, W for zooming to fit horizontally is awesome, as long as the Computer MIDI Keyboard option isn't on.

When I'm uninspired? Alt+f4
Command Q
Me, literally the entire time: Whaaaaaattttttttt
4 yrs later SAME
“Thanks for watching hope you learned a thing or two”
Me: *Learns 95 things*
This was the type of level up I needed!
Agreed!
Would love to see this kind of rapid fire no nonsense overview of hidden Push 2 commands 🙏 thanks!
this is the shit EVERY live user needs. i have all the ones relevant to me which i dont remember taped all over my laptop. thanks a lot
Beautifully done. No nonsense. Straight to the point. Thank you!
And yes, these high density, no fillers straight to the essence lessons are very welcomed, bits of knowledge are scattered everywhere on UA-cam, but YOUR experience shows in YOUR flow, that is most def niche here on UA-cam, so yes please more of YOUR flowness, cheers from Germany!
WTF! It took me a year to gather all these moves, you know creativity is liberated when you fly through your DAW, Props to the good work ninja!
Sooooo great work man 👌
Capture midi notes was a revelation to me! Thanks!
Thanks so much for this!! I've recently switched to Live 10, and this is a game changer. Thanks for being thorough, and not just rambling to be heard!!
Excellent clarity and brevity.
This is hands down the best and the most informative ableton video I have found on whole youtube. Thanks!!!

Awsome video! I loved to hear about the automation shortcuts I feel like it really demonstrates what they had in mind for design choices when it comes to automation, making as customizable and malleable as possible!

OPT+Drag automation curves. That and the click+drag time audio time stretch. I lost those when I stopped using Logic.
Thank you!!
I probably will go back to this every week. All of these are useful but I think I like Z/X and H/W shortcuts the most. As well as SHIFT or CTRL + mousewheel for efficient arrangement view navigation.
So so so good. Thank you.
That's how you do a tutorial video. Thank you.
1:14 shift space = play where last stop
1:20 select + alt space = play selected and stop
3:38 CTL+ drag= drag smoothly
3:57 changing loop marker with keyboard
4:00 left/ right arrow = move loop marker
4:03 CTL left/right = increase loop marker size
4:06 CTL up/down = double/half loop marker size
this is mental, the bestest, many thanks

very useful nice, thanks
SUPER! THANKS!
dude thank u so much u just made my day )
I LOVE THIS VIDEO
This was tremendous. Exactly what I needed. A few of the selection shortcuts don't seem to work in 11 though.
The three shortcuts I was hoping to learn, coming from Logic:
1) Go back to beginning of song/play selected region (e.g. equivalent to logic region, not a selected range)
2) Arrow keys move the cursor around in arrangement, shift-arrow selects, but how to deselect so you can go back go moving around? If I move my selection over a clip it slices it up!
3) How to move from note to note in midi-not move the notes, but advance to next note without the mouse.
Generally, Ableton seems more mouse-oriented than I was hoping, but maybe I just need to customize more!
Best by far :) thanks
Thank you very much
THANK YOU!
Sensasional!
dude's a king of shortcuts
the shift control/command c thing is insane 🤩
If i understand about all this, it will make my work faster thankyou bro,
Good stuff!
thank you so muuuuuuuuch
CTRL + ALT + Click and drag -- makes grab-hand pan around your session or arrangement view.
Love it!
thanks for this
awesome, thanks
Thank you
amazing - been looking for this exact video. What if you want to mute tracks past track 8?
Hey I appreciate you I paid a lot of money to learn what you just told me I don't know how to thank you thank you for not being condescending in your presentation
really helpful ... liked and subscribed..... please make a video tutorial soon on how to organize plugins in Ableton 10 and categorize them such as Waves plugins long lists.... it's too hard to remember all of them.
incredible
I saw a bright light and angels singing...Thanks much.
brilliant
awesome, if i can remember 10 then that's a win
I indeed liked mousing around this video!!
perfect!
legendary post
you don't know how much time I saved just by watching this 13 minutes video
thanks dude
Shortcuts make the difference between walking through projects vs sprinting. Work smarter not harder! Prime Example!
Good vid 👍🏼
12:14 “hope you learned something”
I learned like a hundred something’s.
what keyboard are you using? sounds nice :)
Thank you.
Awesome video! But is there a option to just hear the selectet clip in the arrangement? Like it studio one you have a little speaker tool to play just the clip you click on.
