i dont watch tik tok influencers or instagram influencers because they really only stick with “safe” trends and not really show us the real options at the drug store and ive always loved your channel for years because you never played it safe. you liked what you liked, no matter what other influencers hyped up

But sometimes they retire products that don’t get as much love. The Wet n Wild cushion foundation was my jam when it was available. Now I’m still searching for my new go to foundation.
@@emilynoel83they discontinued the Maybelline Dewy/luminous and Smooth version of the foundation that was a great alternative to a lot of the luxury foundations. Revlon ColorStay dewy is another they say is an alternative to a lot of the luxury foundations people love, but break the bank.

I’m 64 and I love the True Skin concealer. It covers great and never creases on me. Haven’t tried the Nyxx one yet.
We love this content! We love how you talk about what’s good and not only what’s viral. Your integrity is without question, Em. Please do more videos of products that don’t get enough hype. I personally think Believe Beauty Foundation has the prettiest finish. I can’t believe the Hard Candy Long Wear Primer is not as hyped as the Elf primers. Anything from The Balm has been completely overlooked.
The Believe Beauty foundation is my all time favorite foundation! It's one of fhe few affordable foundations that work on my "mature" 56 year old dry skin💗

I love the little intermissions with the girls! They are so good natured for that early in the morning! Also, I really appreciate you making IG stories of your kiddos at the public library. Ok random makeup observation/discovery this week! I ran out of my L’Oréal TM Hyaluronic Acid Serum foundation while I was getting ready for work Wednesday morning, and all I had on hand was Wet n Wild Photo Focus which was a bit too light, and L’Oréal Infallible 24h Fresh Wear which was a little too dark; mixed the two and dang the result was gorgeous! The sweet ladies at my office were complimenting my complexion a little extra that day lol😂🫶🏻 love you Em, hope you guys had a happy holiday!🍗🍂

A little while back I was hearing about the new Revlon Illuminating foundation. I do find it light and beautiful. I also heard a little bit about the makeup Revolution IRL concealer which I enjoy. But I think one Foundation which is severely under hyped (except on this channel 😊) is the Neutrogena healthy skin foundation! I just took a trip with it and it was so beautiful and natural looking but it lasted all day.
I'm so glad someone talked about and used the Elf pink powder, I use it everyday to set my under eyes.

Milani blushes in Dolce Pink and Rose de Oro are the ones I see in the drugstore pretty often. I own all of them and love them all honestly! Rose de Oro is a lovely deeper rose tone so sometimes I even pop Luminoso over the top for more of the highlight effect.
The L’Oréal Color Riche Les Nus lipsticks are maybe the best feeling, most hydrating, gift for the lips I’ve ever tried, including high end brands that are triple the price. They are all nude shades so they don’t have all that many shades, but it is such a shame that no one ever mentions them.
Emily, could you do a video on drugstore powders? Maybe 3 options for each category (for those of us with allergies or CF preferences): under eye, all over setting, powder foundation?
If you put some of that elf halo glow liquid filter on the back of your hand and use a triangle puff to apply it to your cheekbones, it gives a lovely highlight! I prefer that to putting it all over. 💕
As someone with medium tan/caramel skin, i prefer Berry Amore over Luminoso of the Milani blushes.
I can't believe more people don't talk about the Milani 17hr Stay Put Matte Liquid Eyeliner. Best liquid eyeliner, period. Esp combined with Milani's eye primer. It's a hooded eyelid dream team.
Also, the NYX lip liner being on the dry side is exactly why i like them. It helps with the staying power.
I might need to give that NYX concealer another try.

Dolce Pink is my go to a Milani blush! Still a staple.
I recently bought the L’Oréal voluminous because I wanted to tried the burgundy color. Voluminous used to be all I used for years..probably through the entire 90s. I was blown away by how much I like it. Reminded me why I used it for so long.
Forever one of my favorites. No fuss, no drama just damn good reviews!
I really like that Bare with Me concealer when I wear it with the Becca corrector. It’s such a good combo for my aging under eye skin. I feel like you do, that the concealer on its own needs just a little more for my darkness. It might be okay for someone who doesn’t have a lot of color to correct. But it doesn’t ever look dry, which is what I really like about it.
I do really like the covergirl glowy blushes amazing quality, but I do prefer the miliani "glowy" blushes. I have a medium skintone, and the Covergirl blushes have a more silvery/ cool glow it can look a little like a bruise on my cheek😂, whereas the miliani glowy blushes have a more golden glow. I love the miliani blushes in the shades Berry Amore and Bellissimo Bronze.

I have a bunch of these products, so thank you for pulling them out and reminding me to use them! Also, I have verrrry dry skin, so I do think the e.l.f. Halo Glow liquid filter is well suited to adding a bit more moisture for those of us who need it, and it doesn't emphasize my texture. I don't know how. 🥰 I just recommend being conservative with the amount being applied, because I can see that getting out of control! LOL.

On your recommendation, I decided to really go in and grab some stuff from Hard Candy at my Walmart and they aren’t even carrying them anymore in store! They made that section the NYX section now.
I wish the NYX lip pencils were more pigmented and a little creamier.

Hi Emily I find the most hyped products are those that are trying to copy high end products. Often the best products from a brand are their own formula products that are not copied from another brand tbh. The plethora of CT copies is amazing and I don’t even really like CT - too yellow toned and too much rose gold (as well as all the dahlings etc which are annoying). True creativity is not copying other products and we’re losing some of that with the obsession around “dupes”. Quality makeup is just that from whatever price bracket and innovation is to be encouraged I feel. Best wishes x

Such a great final look. My hardest trouble is when I go to Walmart the Hard Candy section seems to all be glitter palettes or pressed glitter eye products. 😢 i must venture to a new Walmart and scope out the makeup section.
The NYX serum concealer is amazing on my 60 year skin- I need so little - a small bead size piece! I do wish Milani would come out with an opaque eyeshadow primer.
I agree about this concealer. My Mom is 70 and she swears by it.
The product I can't understand the hype about is the Physicians Formula butter bronzer. It looks so fake on me and makes me look ill. It has so much fall out as well. The most underrated blush is the Happy Glow blush from Physicians Formula. Then there's the one that you turned me on to- CoverGirl Instant Cheekbones blush. I don't know what I'd do without it! . I wasn't that into the Milani Luminoso but I've discovered how beautiful it looks lightly layered over top of any blush. Wet n Wild products are also sooooo underrated. Their skinny brow pencils are outstanding as well as the Incognito concealer they make that works like a $40 concealer.

Revlon doesn't get a lot of love these days, especially its Super Lustrous lipsticks, which are fabulous! Beautiful colors, formulas, little or no fragrance, very sophisticated and high-end feel overall. Remember the commercials in the '90's with Shania Twain, Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, and other models/celebrities? They were wearing Super Lustrous lipsticks and they were "Revolutionary!"

I so much agree with you about the elf bite size blush duos! Amazing quality, at a very low cost. I also love Covergirls Trublend So Flushed blush in Love Me. Maybe I missed the hype about this one, but it’s my most used blush.

I've always had issues with concealer looking too heavy or dry and the NYX bare with me finally looks the way I want it to. I had such low expectations and was completely surprised I loved it.
Love that foundation! Discovered it thanks to you too 😊 I don't know if it's reached your side of the world yet but here in the Philippines, Maybelline reformulated the Fit Me M+P! Aerogel is the star ingredient now vs. the original clay. I still have half a bottle of the original formula so I haven't tried the new one yet. If the new version gets to you guys too, hopefully you get to try it before I do because we use the same shade 😆

I just love how you can be so awake, happy, and positive before the sun is up, first thing in the morning, work all day, and then go to bed at a reasonable hour!! It seems like magic to me. 🥴 I must admit that as a natural born and raised night owl, I am a bit jealous: jealous, but happy for you, at the same time, if that makes any sense.
Even during the eight years when I was a Marine and HAD to get up and function at peak performance bright and early every day, the early morning hours were a daily struggle for me. I LOVE the peace and beauty of the predawn hours, but only if I haven't been to bed yet from the night before. Awkward! My mom and one sister were/are both night owls too, but for some reason my older sister and I are BOTH EXTREME NIGHT OWLS! We come alive every evening, becoming wide awake as we putter around the house all night, only becoming fully tired and ready to sleep in the early morning hours. This makes it VERY hard to get myself up and going during the day for appointments and to deal with the rest of humanity. I have tried MANY ways to reset my body clock, with only limited success. I know it takes all kinds of people to make the world work, but I still wish that I had your natural circadian rhythms instead of mine.
Dealing with a bad back and chronic pain related to my time in The Marines makes EVERYTHING more difficult, but that's another story:
That's where YOU and your positive videos come in! You provide knowledge, encouragement, and RADIANT POSITIVITY for all your viewers! When I am discouraged and hurting, I usually do some sort of medical self care first. Then I pop one (or 3) of your videos up on my phone to distract myself and help me shift my focus away from the physical pain and negativity that threaten to drag me down and destroy my day.
Life is full of daily choices; I choose to TRY TO focus on GOD and the POSITIVE things in life, to improve the way I live with chronic pain, and to improve my level of functioning and quality of life. You teach me, through your actions and attitudes, how to become a better, happier person. I see you do it, so I KNOW that it's possible! You aren't perfect; nobody is. Still, you get up and greet each day with a can do attitude, a loving heart, and optimistic outlook. Thank you!
I often find myself thinking, "Hey, if EMILY thinks that I can become positive and loving, get up, put on some makeup, and then get on with my day, who am I to argue with HER? 😁 Most days I would just settle for getting up and being as productive as possible, one day at a time.
I know that you must have down times, challenges, and frustrating days: everyone does. I have not put you up on a pedestal, believe me! I can say from experience that that is a HORRIBLE place to be. (There is nowhere to go but down, usually to crash and burn!) I have the sense that you have already learned that you don't have to deny your natural, human uncomfortable feelings in life; that you DO NOT (and "should" not) feel that you have to ALWAYS appear to be happy for the benefit of others. That's not healthy, and I have a strong hunch that is not how you operate on a daily basis. I am simply trying to encourage YOU, and to share with you how you encourage ME!

Id love to see more people trying joah I've recently discovered them and so far what I've tried I really like they have some really great eyeshadow quads I've tried 3 or 4 of the different color stories and they are probably some of the best drugstore eyeshadows I've tried lately and they aren't that expensive

I’m surprised that no one talks about Revlon blushes. They are so pretty, there are lots of shades, a huge pan, and they wear all day without disappearing. No one but you and Jen Phelps sings their praises.

Totally agree with ya on Hard Candy needing more love & hype. I can't thank you enough for putting me on to their liguid blush, bronzer, crayon sticks & my of course their lip liners I use EVERYDAY!

The elf halo glow is definetly very good, but catrice released a similar product a while back as well. Its my staple on days where I need quick glowy coverage. A true filter. Halo glow is sold out everywhere so Im glad catrice came out with that.
I think that ELF quad did a great job! 🤷🏼♀️ I'm a HUGE fan of the ELF eye quads and blush duo's! I own every single one and when you have them all, you can mix and match to your hearts content to make the look you want. I feel like that was the idea...make them cheap enough so that people can afford them all! ❤ Love this video!! I always hear talk about L’Oreal’s infallible eyeshadow in amber rush, but I don’t hear about bronzed taupe.
In my country (The Netherlands) we can't buy Hard Candy or Covergirl unfortunately. We are also way behind with releases from Milani, Wet n Wild and Elf. For instance, we don't have the new Elf lip oils yet. Same with some high end brands. No Sephora here either. Some times its annoying, especially with the nice holiday giftsets. A lot of them are not available, you get all hyped and than you can't get them. On the other hand, the more excited it is when they finally are available, and in the meantime it saves money 😃. And there are way more important things to worry about. Thanks Emily for another nice video!

I use nyx bare with me serum concealer for my foundation and sometimes I use it as a mix in to foundation but I need to pick up a better.shade.for my under eye but I love it.

The other morning I had mine on and my husband says, "Are you channeling your inner Em?". It was so funny (he has seen bits and pieces of your videos when I watch them). I’m with you on the wet and wild I’m a little older than you and I’ve been using it for many years with the eyeshadows but watching your videos made me branch out and try other things which I do love and I agree I think they have amazing products. I want to say that a mascara that I did find and like you said there are a lot out there but my mom gave me this mascara called my amazing lashes by wow combo cosmetics and wow, that is a great mascara it’s fiber and it kind of reminds me of the thrive causemetics but it makes your lashes so extended and fluffy on one swipe. I do have one of the elf little bite eyeshadows that I like but I agree I think they need to be more balanced like wet and wild. The wet and wild walking on eggshells I tried to like but I think it’s more for fair to medium skin tones and I am more medium to tan and it doesn’t have enough depth for me so I will go for the 10 or 16 pan shadows in the wet and wild that they have available. But I appreciate you sharing make up for all budgets and not that we all have to run out and get everything but it’s good to know that there’s other things out there that are not high end that are affordable, so thank you for sharing.
