After stumbling across your channel and finding this video, you've earned another subscriber - i haven't heard anyone mention the sticker being in the wrong orientation before, but you're right. I got myself a new sticker sheet today and made the change (as well as adding the cheese slope mod). The new centre console is brilliant, I'll be getting the part for that and making the change too.
Thanks CambridgeBrick. The latest Speed Champions sets are really good, always some fun building trick that I hadn’t used before and the new pieces open a lot of possibilities
Hi Craig, firstly thanks for subscribing most appreciated. working on some improvements (hopefully) for the Porsche 963 today so watch out for that one.
Very good fixes.. I've said for a long time that the "classic" steering wheel Lego keeps using is terrible. They should come out with more shapes to the one used here because most modern supercars don't have a round wheel.
Hi Jonas, thanks, you are so right. Given the number of Lego sets that have these little steering wheels that are simply too small for a minifig let alone a speed champions car it should be updated with a new /better part
I really like these changes. Well done. Can't believe Lego didn't include those cheese slopes to hold the back in. I think it would've been nice to see the improved interior in more detail, I especially wanted to see how the new steering wheel aligns with the driver's seat.
Thanks RCmies, the steering wheel is aligned with the drivers seat. I will try and improve the filming to show the details more clearly for the next one
Thanks. Such an enjoyable building experience last night. I love this set. I stuck with the instructions and love the final product. Very cool model. Thanks for sharing the background history on this in your other video, it made the building experience even more enjoyable. Brilliant. Cheers.
@@Cambridgebrick Great to hear, appreciate it. I really like these new Speed Champions sets, the only thing missing is the details about the car, background, spec etc., maybe Lego will add them in at some point in the meantime I am enjoying creating these videos 🙂
My one problem with the car is that the exhaust is way too big compared to the rest of the car. As for the building technique (using doors as the exhaust as well as the (fins?)), I think I can let it slide
00:50 yeah such a simple fix that first one. Think everyone has figured that out now, so much so it’s a wonder why TLG didn’t design it like that in the first place! 🤔🤷😂
@@speedybrick ive just made the mod but used the lollipop stick part to hold the steering wheel. I now have both figures seated with a steering wheel. Thanks for the inspiration.
That stability fix with the cheese slopes is so simple I don't understand why it wasn't designed that way to begin with. Good job.
Hi Episodenull, indeed it’s not like the extra two pieces make a difference to the cost for Lego
Totally agree. Crazy they didn't do this by design
I think all Lego fans wonder this. Someone has to do some explaining to do!
@@idonjohnson6999 wonder what the head designer will say
@@speedybrick I think all he can do is blush in shame.

That 1x1 slope fix is really great, I'm confused why Lego didn't just include it to begin with. I'm gonna go put them on my Pagani now.
Yeah strange as it’s so simple
This is excellent! I often find it difficult to build creations from scratch, but I enjoy modifying existing LEGO sets to improve them.
Thanks Kent, same it’s fun to make it your own
I liked your fixes and the thought behind them too! Can't wait to get this car
Thanks Colin
I just bought on Amazon. Looking forward to it’s arrival on Wednesday. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and the video. I enjoyed both.

Your changes are awesome! Now I know for sure that the next LEGO Speed Champions is going to be the Pagani.
Thanks Bасилий

I was wondering how to fix the little bit of play it had on the back and afterwards of watching this video I love how you made it to fix it.

Excellent video

Looks great! Very helpful 👍
Thanks Crofty
Subscribed. Great content.
Thanks nastygollum most appreciated
I used a grill vent piece under the window piece does the same thing without the cheese slopes
Hi Projectzip, good to know thanks
Can you find a way to redo the quad exhaust? The 2x2 tile is way too big and not to scale
Hi Vladimir it’s going to be hard to do without adding more length
00:50 yeah such a simple fix that first one. Think everyone has figured that out now, so much so it’s a wonder why TLG didn’t design it like that in the first place! 🤔🤷😂
Indeed, seems like something that should have been caught in the design process
someone needs to come up with a way to replace the printed exhaust. ive been trying to thing of a way..
Yes that would be cool, hard to do and retaining the doors as they are
I have a point that why Lego doesn't Lego make these in different colors?.
That would be cool
where do i get the same color slopes
I had them in my collection but you can try bricklink
Are you able to move the figure forward one brick now so it fits with normal hair?
Yes you could do, but the minifig’s are really too short for the 8 wide scale so I normally don’t put them in the car
@@speedybrick ive just made the mod but used the lollipop stick part to hold the steering wheel. I now have both figures seated with a steering wheel. Thanks for the inspiration.
@@projectzip sounds like a good mod
i dont have 2 slopes, i have only one, what shall i do
Use one it will still do the trick
@@speedybrick alright, thank you buddy, love your content btw
Thanks most appreciated
Be advised that with the bigger steering wheel you can no longer fit a minifigure in the driver seat, if that's something you care about.
Hi uzil42, I was able to get a minifig in no problem
What’s next the mclarens Porsche Ferrari
