Best Choir ever. I can feel the God’s grace and pleasure in your voice dear brothers and Sisters. I’m one of, if not your most attractive listener. God bless you all, Shalom 🙏🙏🙏.
Now they have changed by adding one word at the end again in the Samoan green hymn book: It’s called “Pe a Faigatā Le Ala, Taumafai!” I love this singing this song growing up
You are always welcome to listen, actually we have an app that you can download for free, you can find it in Google playstore, it's called Mormon Tabernacle Choir. You can listen to MoTab song collections there and you can also download it.
I have been to the Baptist Services and heard some stirring singing and piano playing by the pastors daughters. Let us all share in the beautiful music of all congregations !
If the way be full of trial , weary not; If it’s one of sore denial weary not; If it now be one of weeping, There will come a joyous greeting, When the harvest we are reaping, weary not. Do not weary by the way Whatever be thy lot There awaits a brighter day To all, to all who weary not If the way be one of sorrow, weary not; Happiness will be the morrow, weary not; Here we suffer tribulations; Here we must endure temptation, But there’ll come a great salvation, weary not If misfortunes overtakes us,weary not; Jesus never will forsake us, weary not; He will leave us never, never, From his love there’s naught can sever, Glory to the lamb forever, weary not.
During my days of adversity, trials and afflictions, I alongside my stake choir presented this song at our Conference, this stood as my pillar of support and testimony that whatever be my lot, Jesus will never forsake me and he never did. This song is a song of testimony to me. I'm glad listening to it again.
I personally thank our HEAVENLY FATHER and our HEAVENLY MOTHER, not only the comfort of this song, and especially the restoration of the TRUE CHURCH, THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS, back on Earth.
Another lovely hymn as we reflect on the things that make us weary in this life, let us weary not but give all our cares, worries, and anxieties to the Lord.
The Mormon Tabernacle Choir is a blessing of cheer in this weary life.."If misfortune overtakes us..weary not ..Jesus never will forsake us ..weary not ..He will leave us never... from his love there's naught can sever"... I'm refreshed in the spirit.
My favorite hymn, and I read where it was one of President Thomas S Monson's favorite hymns. The Tabernacle Choir sang it to him on his 85th birthday, and it was the closing hymn at his funeral.
Oh how I love the Tabernacle choir at temple square I miss so much going to church and singing those hymns and mixing with the members of our wards and branch brothers and sisters I am so grateful to have the true gospel of Jesus Christ I am so grateful for the choir who sings such powerful praises to our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ thank you tabernacle chior for your uplifting hymns
The tabernacle choir should perform this song more often. Even though it is one of Pres. Monson's favorite hymns, he might have inspired this choir to use this hymn often. Miss him as always. But this hymn has such a great message, especially "consider the lilies". They should perform that one more often too.
Thank you for this most encouraging message in beautiful, comforting music. It always uplifts me. Even though I know I would never be able to join your beautiful church. I draw from your healing and comforting music and singing. It always carry’s me through. ❤❤❤
Hi Ursula, we're glad you're here. Thanks for watching! If you're interested, you can learn more about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint at comeuntochrist.org?cid=42001274 .
KRIS, sweetie I am sorry for loss. Death, is hard; but Hev.Fath loves you with a tender heart. If, your new man, does not love the CHURCH, GO witout him. My, MUM was a good Catholic woman& went some 42 yrs. without him. There; are worse things in life; but she stayed Catholic; they eventually had gone about six yrs. before he died& it appeared to mean nothing to him but THAT never deterred her. Sweetie, stay strong. You, have a mighty GOD whom loves you& you have MY prayers; for youross🙏🙏🙏
I can't believe 9 people actually gave a thumbs down to this. How can light hurt so much into some people's ears and eyes? (sigh). Thanks goodness hundreds instead liked it. I love the message of this hymn, we sang do many times when I joined the church in Brazil 40 years ago. My mom joined short after and one of the ladies here looks just like her. 1000 thumbs up for this.
very popular in the samoan hymn book! was in our very first hymnbook to the green one today! I myself believe our old hymnbook “viiga a le atua” was way much better than today’s one! it had better words and way better songs that are not in the hymnbook today! I prefer the old one way better
ohh how reasuring this song brings to my soul.every time i find myself gloomy in the midst of troubles i turn to this song..ohh the feelings i feel r greater then any substance of the world could give.this is my euphoric rush.lds i am.
President Monson attended a stake conference in salt lake city and it was a Tongan stake where they sung this obviously in Tongan. He asked what the song was and wondered why it isn't in the english hymns anymore but then asked that it be sung at the very next General conference and this is the result of his request. #Angelicvoices #Mormontabernaclechoir
This hymn is popular for the Samoans too, was in the old blue hymnals but was missing when the green ones rolled out, in fact many popular hymns were missing too which was unpopular with the Samoans at the time, but they just went with whatever Salt Lake said.
I totally agree , one of the best achievements of the American civilization. And certainly America's unique contribution to the world of music ,and the musical dimension of Christians .
O canto do pajé que saudade, do nosso coral regido pelo Maestro Professor Machadinho, em nossa terra País de Caruaru. A capital do Agreste, e Capital do Forró.
I'm currently doing the online MTC, learning Portuguese. My teacher said this was her favorite hymn in the Portuguese hymn book and wishes it were in the English one. We even tried to sing it today in class, but the website didn't have any music, so I just messaged her asking for the title so I could check it out. This is awesome! I think I'm gonna try to learn it on the piano so we can sing it in class sometime. I just really hope she doesn't read this comment before then, because I want it to be a surprise. :-) But I mean, the likelihood she reads this exact comment is so slim I'm not worried in the slightest.
It was President Monson’s favorite hymn. I had never heard it until he was the prophet. Now it is one of mine. I often play it when life gets overwhelming
@CMAJORZ Are you serious? I'm glad to have come accross this great song. The words are just so powerful. I can't get tired of listening to it all the days of my life.
Best Choir ever. I can feel the God’s grace and pleasure in your voice dear brothers and Sisters. I’m one of, if not your most attractive listener. God bless you all, Shalom 🙏🙏🙏.
I grew up always singing this song with my family in the Samoan language. It is called 'Pe a faigata le ala'. This is one of my favourite hymns
LadyBoss R Amen
@@eileensamoa4169 Same. Born in a Samoan Mormon family this is my favorite hymn so we listen to Pe a faigata le ala.
Now they have changed by adding one word at the end again in the Samoan green hymn book:
It’s called “Pe a Faigatā Le Ala, Taumafai!” I love this singing this song growing up
I would love to hear this hymn in your native language. I once heard a choir from the Islands and the beauty of it was beyond description.
Same here! Pe’a Faigata Le Ala, Taumafai is one of my favorite. I was so surprised when I found out there is an English version.
i send my sincere gratitude to all believers who sing from this choir because your voices and songs strengthens my faith
I remember this hym my tribulations in life. I would be lifted up as I listen this music.
Im a baptist and i so envy some music of the mormon church like this one.
why do you say that? because you think its true, and there is a chance of you joining our church
+Madman 26 You have great music but i cant accept many of the mormon beliefs.
Don't decline just because you think you shouldn't. Decline because of what you truly believe.

I thank God for having discovered this hymn. It is extremely comforting.
If the way be full of trial , weary not;
If it’s one of sore denial weary not;
If it now be one of weeping,
There will come a joyous greeting,
When the harvest we are reaping, weary not.
Do not weary by the way
Whatever be thy lot
There awaits a brighter day
To all, to all who weary not
If the way be one of sorrow, weary not;
Happiness will be the morrow, weary not;
Here we suffer tribulations;
Here we must endure temptation,
But there’ll come a great salvation, weary not
If misfortunes overtakes us,weary not;
Jesus never will forsake us, weary not;
He will leave us never, never,
From his love there’s naught can sever,
Glory to the lamb forever, weary not.

Thanks for the words. If you care to correct it your first line contains the word “trail” rather than “trial”.

Many years ago I heard a Tongan choir sing in Idaho. It was absolutely angelic. I couldn't think of a more beautiful sound on earth.
