Thank you for showing us different areas of your beautiful country, meanwhile I share your enthusiasm for Iceland and I am grateful for your friendly and peaceful way of reporting. I look forward to your next videos, all the best for your wife and you!
Thank you for sharing beautiful Iceland with us as well as other places traveled. This may be the only way for me to see Iceland. Keep on with the adventures. Love Nina's videos. Be safe and God Bless.
That brings back memories. A friend and I travelled to Heimaey by ferry in January 1980. It was the last crossing for the day but I'd promised my friend to show her the new lava flow and some of island. It was still a bit ruined in places and some of the cliffs were still blackened from the eruption. The islanders had done a remarkable job against heavy odds to restore their homes and businesses. We travelled on the Herjolfur, but it looks a lot different inside from all those years ago. There was a strong gale on the crossing and the sea was very rough during the 3 hours crossing. I think we both earned our sea legs that day. On the journey back a couple of days later, it was like a different sea, all calm and the air was clear. It's a beautiful way to get to Heimaey.
Lovely video. Makes me want to visit Iceland - such a beautiful place. That house is so isolated with fantastic views - but must experience severe weather at times. You capture the scenery perfecly. Best wishes. Keep safe. God Bless
Thanks for refreshing the memory of our own trip to the Westmans. The island at the entry to the harbour at 9:10 is famous for its shape and the lonely farm at the top. The cliffs and the birds nesting there were once a source of food for islanders who will dangle from ropes and pick the eggs. For a long time it was the poorest part of the poorest country in Europe, now Iceland's per capita GDP is higher than Germany's!
Great video Roman! Thanks for being such a good tour guide and taking us along on the ferry. The islands and the cliff are very beautiful. Weren’t you a little nervous having your car on a boat? I would be! Haha! …. Hi Nina! Was that a croissant were you eating? 🥐 😃 ❤️
Looks like you both had a great time on the island. It's nice to have a break from home to go somewhere else for a change. Very different scenery from the mainland. Incredible to see where the lava was stopped just in time before cutting off the harbour. I've read about it but even better to see it. Thank you for a most wonderful adventure! Kris🇦🇺✌
Great little weekend side trip! Forgot how close lava flow came to closing off village’s harbor. You definitely had a smooth day for your crossing. Looked up history of Westman islands and found out it suffered an attack from Ottoman pirates! People were taken as slaves. How crazy is that?
I yearn to visit this glorious country. Alas, I doubt it will ever happen. Therefore, I thank you most sincerely for showing us this beautiful place. I remember that as a child in grade school learning a little bit about Iceland. The one fact that stuck with my mind is that the place was so beautiful that explorers living there decided to call it Iceland in the hope that few Europeans would want to overcrowd the land. Now I see why. What a shame it would have been to turn this land into a concrete jungle.
taken ferries on Puget sound, WA USA, had best clam chowder, beautiful, hey you joined my "I'm typing your saying " club, #5 on this list glad to have subscribed, wow 7:50 that top layer of deposit pretty thick,9:08 volcano eroded away, you living adnits the forces of some extreme nature, amazing shots Roman,12:46 face dead center on rock out crop, lava tube from the past, thanks
Great video . is that the fishing village were they used big water pumps and hoses to fight back the lava and save the town . if so i remember watching it on the news . thanks
Everything is clean, everything is in order, everybody is educated, it's so nice. I live in a country where everything is disordered, dirty and bad educated. Iceland, it seems to be a dream. I live in Argentina.
I found another rock formation that looks like a giant face... almost 13mins in on the boat looking past the rock that could be a fist or a mouth the smaller one, looking towards the bigger one and what you see ?... I see face :P
When I visited Heimæy a few years ago, the seas were so bad that instead of the 45 minute sail back to Landeyjahöfn, we had to sail 2-1/2 hours through the worst waves I’ve ever been on back to the Reykjanes peninsula at Þörslákhöfn.
What a great video!! How do the people get to the second house you showed? Not the fishing house. Such beautiful islands. Thank you for such a beautiful video!! Next time you find a lava rock with crystals and the green mineral, don't toss it away. Keep it to send to me! I collect unusual minerals, and that would be quite an addition to the collection. Postage would be high,as I live in the USA, but I think it would be worth it. Keep sending the videos. Hello to your lovely wife!
That island with the one house is called Elliðaey, and that 'house' is actually a hunting lodge owned by the Elliðaey Hunting Association to house members hunting puffin.

So there’s a video out there shows people walking on the harden lava it’s on his channel called daily Iceland just got done watching people walking on the harden lava that is not a good thing I think you should post it as well
He did. He also reference the head of rescue team's words that people walking on the lava fields if in danger, they might not get rescue at all due to extreme situation.
They're Chinese. It's part of their culture and maybe they need to be extra cautious letting Chinese tourists into Iceland in the first place. Also, they are in a confined space where face masks are still mandatory in different countries.
billion starving in china .. but they have enough cash on hand to travel to iceland after COVID. Seems legit.. lolll not. Really enjoyed this travel adventure though .. sooo much puffins :3
I get you mate! Communism didn't exactly work out for them did it with so many starving to death, no access to basic medical care outside of the huge cities, human rights abuses galore, genocide.......and the list goes on. Without fail, they always have the money to go on very expensive tours. In Australia our borders are still closed except to New Zealand. Thank goodness we're keeping out the Chinese who had the audacity to profit from the pandemic which they started and yet we're still no closer to any answers to how they lost control of the virus! Not a fan of the CCP either.👍
Good to see all ppl. wearing masks apart from 1 group with (defensive stance, arms folded body language) possibly wannabe 'freedom fighters' from the USA. Sth. ? 🤪 You and Nina do seem to travel quite a lot and you are going abroad soon, lucky you! so where are you going if I may ask? The furthest I've been from my mainland was Magnetic Island, not really what one w'ld call overseas! ☹ The Chinese ppl. are in a 'golden age' for them, it' good that they see and learn about other lands and about the ppl. and the systems. Also it's good that they do ? ? ? spend and give some back to the world. The cliff is as if it's been painted with a 'palette knife' . . . funny isn't it? you have bare rock but add birds and you get greenery.
I would live on that island with one house
They send you there if you're naughty
@@forthedisenfranchised4366 A tiny version of Van Diemen's Land.
At least you'd be safe from the volcanic activity unless one arises from the sea.
@@krisushi1 You never know in this part of the world, one might wake up with free 'central heating' 😊
Quaint and so very charming. Incredible beauty. Thank you for sharing.
Fascinating indeed. That is a huge ferry. The geology is spectacular. 👏👏

How in the world does one get up the cliff to that little house? But what a view there must be from there!
Good question! There may be a way up on the other side or else I hope they have a helicopter!
WOW! Thank you for sharing this beautiful ride to the mainland! All the best to you and Nina! Ruth

I love your videos, the volcanoes and the drive around Iceland. Greetings from Louisiana, USA.

What kind of camera do you use? It zooms in a long way. Thanks for sharing. This is how I travel the world. Watching through your videos.
Roman uses his mobile phone which is a Samsung Galaxy. Usually he will have the exact model in the description box of his other videos.
Fascinating islands and geology making for treacherous sailing waters. Magnificent video.
I would love to swim in that beautiful ocean 😍🌊 What is the water temperature?
heel mooi de zee tocht. bedankt en groet Margot
Is there a way to get to the top of these Islands?
If there is no pathway carved into the sides they would need to use a helicopter.
WOW a modern Ferry boat
Ship fish to China---some might be scouts
Very beautiful Ferry ride.
Like your trip
Do you know the significance of the sculpture on the jetty? I got the Poseidon trident but couldn’t see the rest of the design.
"Sea caves." Aren't those yesterday's lava tubes?
I would love you to see our Skellig island

Why are so many people wearing face masks?
They're Chinese. It's part of their culture and maybe they need to be extra cautious letting Chinese tourists into Iceland in the first place. Also, they are in a confined space where face masks are still mandatory in different countries.
Very nice video and I like your commentaries. A tip: move you camera more slowly when you pan aroud and also use the zoom more slowly :-)
Modern structure and modern Garry boat, Iceland it’s volcanic island, tourist few money , problems for economy and climate and pcc Chinese covid
