I thought this excercise could be a main one, as it's a progression to some harcore calisthenics like ring incline rows; then the same with feet elevated; and finally one-handed incline ring rows. If you're able to to that that's like saying you have the functional core, back & arm strength to throw your own weight behind you - with one arm. Bruce Lee would be cool with that I bet.
Letting your shoulders roll forward like that at the end of the movement is a recipe for glenohumeral (shoulder joint) disaster. Please don't do this step if you are lifting heavy. (Doctorate of Chiropractic student)
Good point, especially if you use higher weights, which is unfortunately what most people do. It's so much safer and more efficient to use lower weights and perform the movements slowly and correctly.
This would be more functional than a seated row though, how often do u sit and pull something unless you're a rower

J. Palenzuela Well that was awkward
LOLWUT
So I guess you cannot go equal or above your own body weight in this exercise so it would be a good warm up or cool down exercise

I was thinking the same...Thanks
To be safe in eccentric phase We should not fully extended our arms and have a slight bent at the end of eccentric phase.
I'm guessing this a boxing gym or somthing? From the backround noise?
Yes, quite.
