As someone who has been successfully playing county darts for over 20 years, I always watch out for videos like these to see if I can use my experience to add anything useful. This video offers so little value in terms of information that I’m beyond bemused. No mention of scallops, etc for helping with consistent gripping, length of barrel or stem to assist with entry angle. I could go on and on.
@SM0KE_0RIG1NAL I'm also a fairly new player and could do with some advise on a new dart - im using a basic straight barrel 23g atm, however I'm a rear gripper and my darts can tend to land higher than what I'm aiming for so was thinking I might need a heavier rear weighted dart? Thanks in advance if you get back to me
Ive found the more grip the dart has and the softer I grip the dart the better I throw. I use the Target Cult 24g darts. Having success in my personal circles. Still get whooped with online play on DartCounter.
After months of trying different darts, flights, stems and points i am now very content with my current setup. For a long time i played with the Paul Nicholson Winmau 24gr but now rocking de Bull's Dot D8 21gr with 38mm Bull's ring grip points by Shot. A intermediate stem and standard flights to finish the dart.
I use a set of red dragon flightmaster,s 28g darts front weighted as im very much a front gripper! To complete my set up i use xl joust shafts the same as luke humphries and a standard flight! The barrels have been lightly sandblasted for grip
I'm just an amateur. Still looking for a dart that suits me. I like the heavy and short ones. It's just that the dart wing aka shaft is a little hard to get into.
That’s a great start! 🎯 Brass darts are a solid option for beginners because they’re affordable, but upgrading to tungsten darts is worth considering as you play more. Tungsten is denser, which allows for slimmer barrels and tighter groupings on the board. When choosing your next darts: Try a range of weights (22-26g is a popular range). Experiment with barrel shapes (straight or tapered). Look for ones that feel comfortable in your grip. Enjoy the process of discovering what works best for you-and welcome to the darts journey! 🎉
i use a pre owned 10g training dart.. that i bought from a thrift shop.. thats the only i can afford.. though i dream having a proper match dart, even a pre owned one...
I am absolutely convinced the effect of the kind of dart you're using is grossly overrated. The effect of a change is mostly psychological imo. I bought a middle of the road kinda dart, works fine.

Dont ever look at the price of your darts..... you can go to win the world championships with a set of dars, coster only 10% of a good pair of runnings shoes. Pick the best. Pick what works for you, Dont think money

New to the game. Can I get some advice? For a beginner?
@@OffMyRocker_ of course, what advice in particular are you looking for?

As a newer player that's how I feel about most of the videos on this channel. What are scallops? Consistent grip has been my biggest battle

😅
I use the Jim fitzimmons phase 2, 22.5 gram. Been throwing his darts for years
I use 22g nathan aspinal g2 with nathan aspinal k flex and 40 mm luke littler points
At a moment I'm using Harrows Vortex 23gr. They are very rare darts from 90's. Very nice darts 80% tungsten. If you find them you don't regret.
Luke Littler load outs with 35mm Swiss point. Will eventually switch to a k flex stem
I'm just an amateur. Still looking for a dart that suits me. I like the heavy and short ones. It's just that the dart wing aka shaft is a little hard to get into.
First was 22g Harrows Assassins, but wanted more grip so Bottelson Great Whites with L-Style carbon shafts
I use Nathan Aspinall 2019 G1 with a short target pro grip stem an a no6 Nathan Aspinall flight.
This might help me decide what darts to buy as i only have brass ones as ive never played

@DartsDecoded yeah I'm eventually gonna buy a tungsten set once I've bought a dartboard
Bolide void 04 25 gram, short black k flex with gold 35mm Swiss points.
gary anderson phase 5 noirs a winmau prism stem and a winmau rhino blue flight
I use Harrows Eric Bristow 90% Tungsten
if had my harrows silver arrows 22 or 23 gram for 12 years but i going to change for a slimmer fit and better length and backward weight
i use a pre owned 10g training dart.. that i bought from a thrift shop.. thats the only i can afford.. though i dream having a proper match dart, even a pre owned one...
Bulls Aviation 23 gramms💯
Very informative , looking forward to more of the same. Looks a super channel for me as a beginner
i use one80 tomcat 20 and 22 grams..
Same here, One80 Tomcat 22g

Where u get information? U have a pro player?
this video provides zero information that common sense would not already provide. This video is actually detrimental to darts in general!
