I usually use 1 cup of rice to 1.5 cups of water gives a better texture on the rice. Love both of these recipes definitely trying one for lunch today since I need something quick and easy.

Oh and way back when, all we would buy is Mahatma rice(Regular). Nowadays, we buy either Mahatma Jasmine rice, or Basmati Rice.

Hi! Do you soak your basmati rice between washing it and cooking it?
Most times yes. But for this video I just washed it right before and dumped it in the pot. Didn't soak it.
I find Dwaat's aged rice ( green bag) to be superior. I'm using Royal right now, and I hate it. It breaks too much.
How do you like Dwaat? I've used royal and it does break a lot. But there's other brands that are better. Still have to find the best one
