Food looks AMAZING! I have always talked to both sets of babies the same amount. I also let my kids play with what ever toy they wanted to. My daughter would pick one of her dresses out for my son when they were little, and they'd put on a fashion show heels, purses and all lol.
A+++ on this meal Victoria. Everything on that table looks so good. The cherry tomatoes, a great addition as a salad would just be too much. Only thing I would have added are pickles or sauerkraut because I always want something,,, picklish. LOL

This is very true about lego as since the thirties it has been a popular toy for boys and mechano. if you ask any guy if he played with mechano or lego growing up most men in their fourties did. I love ariels hair and love you all love and lifexxx

Those cheesy 🧀 potatoes 🥔 looked so good 👍🏻👍🏻😋 I have never had ribs, they look good. My mom gives Legos to my nieces as gifts, glad she is doing that. I think girls should be allowed to play with cars too & boys can play with dolls if they want. I do think it’s sad that children don’t get to play outside as much as they use to & be creative on their own, like building their own fort/playhouse with sticks, etc. Too many children just come home from school and stay indoors now.

I appreciate this meal because the conversation strikes me. Commenting because of a recent video where you were all in a tizzy over what to buy for a girl child for her birthday in a previous video, Regina made comments like, "What do I buy for a girl? I don't know what they like!" Weren't you a girl at one time? I suggested a chemistry set or a microscope. You ended up choosing a fluffy, pinky, purple stuffed toy that you knew she would "love to hug." A toy that helped to create........nothing. Expanded the mind with........nothing. I was surprised that you played into your own hype about stereotypes that girls need pretty, glittery POS "things" rather than a doctor's kit or Tinker toys. Things that challenge the mind, heart and hands. The gift you eventually chose was an exceedingly ordinary one and had so little thought put into it. You have to live what you preach without playing into obviously your own stereotypes about pink for girls and blue for boys. Girls become professionals, sports enthusiasts, scientists and astronauts. They don't only sit around and hug pretty toys. That REALLY perpetuates the stereotype.

"Weren't you a girl at one time?" Well, hell no! Ever since I was a baby girl, for instance, I always only accepted toy tanks, toy soldiers, and toy weapons and rejected any futile attempts to make a freakin' sow capable of bearing a litter, changing dirty diapers and washing stinky husband's socks housewifey type of a slave out of me. So don't generalize. :-)))

Your tomatoes always look so fresh! As a mother of a premie (almost 10 weeks premature) and two boys that were also early, I always look for studies concerning development. Victoria, I would love to know the study you were talking about. I always talked to my babies equally from day one. They were all developmentally advanced in their own way. I allowed them whatever sparked their interest and that changed sometimes daily, lol. As for wearing black, I wasnt allowed to wear it until I was older. My mom considered it an adult color or something tou wore to a funeral out of respect. Maybe its a southern thing.
