my dad had a pigeon that won woodland once and also every year from Modesto his name was El Guero Guillen. he was friendly he would roam around my feet when I was 11.
That's the same question we ask ourselfs .We had a race of 37 miles at the end of the racing season back in 2019 .This was a race with old pigeons and we couldn't hardly close the race at the end of the day.The sky was blue and not a cloud to see.I personaly think that they need the clouds to adjust their sight .But that's a quess.What i do know is that long distance pigeons have no problem with clear skys.
I am from Belgium. The way you are racing is very good on UA-cam. The basketing the day before release at 350 miles is not done here. Also racing in this time of the year.(very short daylight) I enjoy how you experience pigeonsport

I know how hard is when a bird can't each home. We have in pakistan racing pegion and high flying pigeon where in high fly the more they fly the winner is that. ❤

Very good result.There's a saying in Belgium 'No clouds ,no birds '.A clear blue sky is very hard for pigeons.
