This is when u have a mom or dad and there kids that are asking for everything. When the parents say no you have a child crying in the middle of the store.
even better when the child is throwing a major tantrum to the point where you're concerned for their breathing and the parents are just strolling around with them in the cart like nothings wrong

That used to be me once lol, except I was silently crying and I didn't want anyone judging me for crying. I just ask for cereal and I'm set.
And when they throw a tantrum the parent does literally nothing
If parents give in to a child's manipulating behaviour ie: crying to get whatever they want in the supermarket, they will always get that behaviour there. Because the child realises that this method of parent control is working for them, they won't stop it; they will just keep doing it each time. So parents have to do nothing and ignore them while they're acting like that. It would be easier to give in, but a good parent wants to bring up their child in a responsible way and to avoid creating a whingeing manipulator in the future that just cries and carries on until they get what they want.

On the merger I always put a divider behind my food when I’m done, I find it respectful and it shows the person behind I’m finished with my food and they can start loading theirs. I actually feel more irritated when the person in front don’t put the divider, because that means I’ll have to get in that persons sphere and goddamn reach for the divider on my own

Or...From what I lived with and have been taught, people will put all their groceries on the belt if they are the first ones to reach the register and then whoever comes up behind them it is *their* (the second person) job to put a divider behind their food so that the cashier knows when to stop scanning the first person’s food. Works either way I guess...🤷🏼♀️
I completely agree! I always put the divider behind my food, and people see it as a nicety to do so; you have a little moment of eyecontact with the person behind you and they sometimes even say thanks! The worst is when there are no dividers (which is the case in some smaller grocery stores).

I think she's talking about Aldi's. You put a quarter in to get the cart, then it locks into the slot until you put it back in the right place, then it comes back out. it prevents stealing. Those carts are actually free, you just have to make sure you have a quarter with you

We have coin deposit carts in Australia too, usually if the store is super busy. The deposit is to encourage people to return the cart (we call them shopping trolleys). If carts are not returned they can cause havoc in car parks. Sometimes people even take them home from the store if they don’t have a car, and then they end up on roads, dumped in waterways etc and become feral pests. There have been times in my life when I was strapped for cash and was grateful I could round up some abandoned trolleys in a car park and use the coin refunds to buy milk or other groceries.
my son has autism and if the music is good in the supermarket he will start dancing like noone is watching the problem is everyone is watching so me and his brother have to start dancing to to show our unity as a family lol
