MatPats theory: throughout the game, there is a chance that you will meet some of W.D Gaster's followers (the characters in grey). There is one character in particular that stands out, and that's the one known as "goner kid" (looks like monster kid). He talks about that in another universe, he may not exist, and that thought terrifies him. When you bring an umbrella to him, he says something along the lines of "why do you have an umbrella? it's not raining". This quote relates to his other one as rain may not exist here, but "it's raining somewhere else", suggesting that its raining in another universe. Finally, remember he says that the thought of him being non-existent from one universe terrifies him, yet he only appears in a certain number of "universes" each time you play, so his fear has come true.

This video always makes me sad because my cat Lucy died because she was old but the week she died she went in my room while I was learning this song and she wouldn't leave and she was just listening and I promised her that I would complete the song and later that week she died so this video means a lot to me but I'm halfway done so I'm half way to finishing this promise (edit: 3 years later I'm still getting reply's to this. No I didn't learn the song unfortunately, I'm just not that good at piano anymore. But I've moved on)

whenever i hear this song,I imagine myself sitting by the fire and talking to my future grandchildren about the life i had,the games i've played,the time i spent doing things that i love,and then when they leave just enjoying the darkness and playing this song...
i dunno if its just me but the whole song sounds nostalgic and perfect for relaxing,thinking of the things you had,dreams you left behind and things you have...like being satisfied about how far you got but regretting it at the same time..

You are sitting alone in your apartment, 8 stories high. Through your open window, you can hear the soft tapping of rain on the soil of your potted plants resting on the rusty balcony. Looking down, you can see and hear the city going on with life, despite the falling rain. Calmly, you sip on the cocktail you made for yourself, watching life move on. In one of the neighboring apartments, someone is practicing their piano, making this night even more relaxing. You wish that you could look up and see the stars, but with the city light and the current rain, there is no way that could happen. You sigh and intake a breath of the cool night air and know that somewhere, someone is glad that it’s raining somewhere else.

I'm off at college, getting myself an education after escaping an abusive parent. life is good, but man I miss my city. the life, the people, the sounds of people living life even at 4 am. Its quiet in this town, It doesn't rain much on this coast and it feels like the world stops turning at 10 pm. Its a new experience, so i cant say i hate it, but man. I envy that its raining somewhere else.

I’m just thinking of a scene where sans is telling grillby a world where everything is perfect and raining somewhere else. Where the humans doesn’t kill and instead always be there friend no matter what. Sadly they do not live in a timeline like that. But it never hurts to dream.

Ive long since past my undertale phase, this piano version of its raining somewhere else hit me with a huge wave of nostalgia
I have been addicted to undertale and videos about it for months.A few months later this pops up and the memories are coming back...
