Welcome to Week 9! (Fall 2023)

Boo for icky weather that rolled in, but Yay for the start of another week! I had a great Saturday, joining wonderful department colleague friends for the Bearcats homecoming football game (with Dr. Cathy Stough and her little family) and the symphony at Music Hall (with Drs. Sara Speybroeck and Marlow Davis). The game itself kinda sucked, but the sun peaked out (or should I say winked?!) at just the right time to see the partial solar eclipse that eclipsed the game. And the symphony is always world class. And George “Mr. Sulu” Takei of Star Trek fame and all around absolute coolness was the special guest narrator for a piece called Lincoln Portrait by Aaron Copland. Way neat!
Note the heads up I give in this greeting about our second Exam this week and the “I Can Do This” video assignment due next week. But still, make it a Great week!
